1486289 tn?1315842255 I tihnk something like Johnsons baby lotion would be ok. I've used it. If you think it's actually eczema you may want to speak with her ped about something that will help clear it up. Not all lotions help eczema, especially if they have alcohol, fragrances or other unnecessary additives in them. My 7 yo has pretty bad eczema and we've found the aveeno line of products to be EXTREMELY helpful and it has helped us to minimize the use of topical steroids.
Avatar f tn My son had excema on his face as a baby, I would put Eucerin brand lotion on it which seemed to help.
Avatar m tn You can also use a barrier cream with zinc oxide paste or calamine lotion or a mild steroid cream like dermacort on the rash. For the itchiness, you can take some antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
Avatar m tn Hello, Your symptoms are suggestive of pompholyx or dyshidrotic eczema. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. For mild-moderate symptoms a weak steroid may be used (e.g.
Avatar f tn Try Aveeno products the have body wash for eczema and lotion for it as well.
Avatar n tn we wanted to be sure so we saw a pediatric dermatologist. she prescribled nizoral cream once a day followed by lotion and vaseline (we chose to use lanolinh since he puts everything in his mouth, we also bought a humidifier). for the next couple months that rash would come and go. each time it would start as little white bumps and then turn red and then become patches and my son would itch.
9041091 tn?1410417329 To help with eczema get some Cortizone Eczema Lotion. Its betweeen $8-$10 a bottle.I ewas instructed not to put ANYTHINGthat has a scent to it on my sons skin becabecause it makes it worse and sunscreen has a scent and I've never heard of that helping either.

Avatar f tn I'd bathe in essential oils. lavender Is best then use coconut oil during the day and avocado oil at night.
Avatar f tn s probably dry cracked skin but it keeps on extending to her palms. She bought a vitamin A cream that supposedly helps on dry skin, but until now it's not working. What do you think is going on with her fingers?.
Avatar f tn It could be a type of eczema. Thats what usually appears on my middle finger before it turns into a dry flakey rash. Mine usually flares up if i over wash my hands, especially with hot water. Try a natural lotion or aveeno eczema, anything that has very little to no alcohol in it. What i've been using lately is just organic virgin coconut oil. it's only cleared up about 50% because i'm usually too busy to put it on.
Avatar n tn I had her using anti-acne wash on it until our doctor said it was eczema and prescribed a stronger prescription cream to treat it. My daughter has developed a habit of picking at and scratching these pimple-like bumps, although she said they really dont itch. She is getting scarred from this. Our doctor now says she needs to be treated for scabies. She sleeps in the same room with her father and I, and sometimes in our bed. If it was scabies...
334090 tn?1203804738 it may be eczema...try hydrocortisne cream....it worked wonders on my kids...
Avatar n tn Doctor prescribed steroid creams but i dont want to use those. Is ther any non steroidal cream for eczema.
Avatar f tn Aveeno eczema care cream works wonders. I used to rub a loofa on my stomach for half an hour or more in the shower because my stomach was so itchy...after using the cream religiously at night for about 4 days, no more redness or itching.
Avatar n tn The rash is just on her arms. She is 11 years old. Our doctor said she was treating for scabies "just in case" as she cant understand why the eczema medicated lotion has not cleared it up. I dont think it is scabies because it has been going on since spring time and she is the only one that has the problem. And it is only on her arms, not the classic places scabies would be. She also does not have the unbearable itching that I read about scabies.
Avatar m tn ECZEMA would NOT be on only ONE side of his scrotom and ONLY there. The medication used for chronic eczema is a simply TRIAMINOLONE CREAM or OINTMENT 9if you already have open sores. I do NOT hjave to be a dermatologist..IO am BETTER--I was MISDIAGNOSED with "eczema" for years to find I had multiple chronic merdical issues, including liver and kidney damage, candida, salt build up, AND needed systematic treatment.....
Avatar m tn My wife suffers from eczema and is particularly affecting her palms of hands to the point that her skin is cracking. It is extremely itchy and she has sought medical attention with a dermatologist but the medication prescribed is ineffective. Anyone have this type of condition? Any alternatives?
