My family has eczema from my mom kids down to her grand kids. My son has it really bad. He takes a bath with Dove sensitive soap. The doctor prescribed him a prescription for lotions and creams. In between baths I use Aveeno. I wash his hair in free and clear medicated shampoo. My son is 8yrs old had since he been born. My neices also have it. I do not use any scented products on him at all not even to wash his clothes. He wears medicated deodorant.
t pregnancy related per say but are there any mommys out there that have babys with eczema? If so what do you do for it? Her doctor who saw her today just said to put vasolene on it but to some extent that is what I have been doing and I am seeing no improvement. I feel like there has got to be something I can do...
They have a new Goldbonds eczema lotion I've seen advertised on tv but I havnt tried it. The healing lotion by them is what worked for me.
Target has a generic aveeno white bottle brown cap in the lotion section. Oatmeal baths. The steroid cream is NOT to be used on pregnant women unless the risk outweighs the problem.... I have to put it on my lil man and read the bottle after the first time putting on him and now make my husband do it just in case. The lotion works pretty good. The Dr said you can use crissco, Vaseline, auqaphor... However it's spelt.
it appears to be an "eczema" disease. i'v been experiencing it for 2 years and it spreaded from my middle, to the 2nd, 4th and now the 1st finger (only right hand). So the finger's skin made a cycle, where it peeled, and then it grows the newer one but its thick and theres no fingrprint in it, then it goes back to peeling and again. (But in a small area).
We use two different products--- Aveeno Eczema Ointment bought at most drug stores and then this other that is a lotion that is anti itch. Not sure if this would increase acne on the back/shoulder area. Perhaps you could use a cleaning wipe like stridex or any brand and then the lotion over it. But your best bet is to get guidance from your doctor.
I have the same problem on my fingers and palm, I have feared a bit that it is Lyme disease, because I have heard that eczema doesn't happen to kids my age, 13, is having eczema at my age normal?
My wife suffers from eczema and is particularly affecting her palms of hands to the point that her skin is cracking. It is extremely itchy and she has sought medical attention with a dermatologist but the medication prescribed is ineffective. Anyone have this type of condition? Any alternatives?
I haven't with pregnancy but am going thru it with my 11 month old. We where recommend eczema lotion from target the generic of aveeno. It's in the lotion area in a white bottle with a brown lid. After 3 days of use he is looking so much better. It was all over his body. Stop using Sented wash and with no dye in it. It's a start and is working great so far!
I've had eczema my entire life and it's NEVER been as bad as it is now. I just gave birth a little over a month ago, but my skin now is soo irritated and itchy I can't even sleep at night. It's made it hard to move or take showers.It burns. I've had perscription steroid cremes every type of lotion out there. And all my dermato wants to do is use the same cremes. I NEED RELIEF!! Does anyone know a natural way to ease the eczema pain?
So its Eczema? I keep good hygiene, i shower everyday and use a lotion for sensistive skin everyday. my skin is not dry, and this rash thing is only in one spot and i never had this before. well i just e-mailed my mom and she says i dont have Eczema. she says its really ugly and you get scabs and normally is not in one spot. so i would beleive her because she has a friend that has Eczema and it doesn't look like what i have.
Wow I have never heard of it appearing around the mouth! That must hurt! But I get it bad on my hands! If you can find Dermasil lotion, that works good! It does burn a bit, but then reapply it and it smoothes your skin! Eucerin works well too. Make sure you get unscented lotion!!! If it isn't ON your lips, try putting the lotion around them.. I dont think its eczema because I grew up dealing with it and it feels and looks different than eczema. It doesn't itch like eczema.

i was recently introduced to meleleuca products,n they are fantastic! it got rid of all the eczema rash,uses the pure oil,then the RENEW lotion,it is the best thing ive uses so far,it doesnt thin the skin out klike most cortisone creams the doc usually prescribes,my question is this...although the rash n itch has gone away,the awful pimple like blisters have not,does anyone know what i could use to rid of it?
You may have pregnancy eczema, sooo annoying!! I would try to use lotion and see if that helps any, if not I'd mention it to your doctor!
He is allergic to almost everything and his allergies react in an eczema breakout. He gets eczema under his nose alot and my parents have been putting Chapstick Original on the skin under his nose (without my knowledge) for a while. I opened it and it smells like menthol. Fragrances break him out, so I asked them not to put it on him. They argued that they have been using it for a long time and it doesn't hurt him.

There's this lotion for eczema, & its in a bottle with whinnie the pooh on it (even if its not eczema the lotion still works good) idk what its exactly called tho
