eczema

Avatar f tn Try Aveeno products the have body wash for eczema and lotion for it as well.
Avatar n tn Doctor prescribed steroid creams but i dont want to use those. Is ther any non steroidal cream for eczema.
Avatar m tn If the lotion helps, it could be eczema...which is a broad term for a skin irritation, like psoriasis. My children have eczema and when lotion wont take it away and it becomes reddened, I have to use a hydrocortisone cream. They have many brands over-the-counter, like Cortaid, that might help. Just don't use them for an extended period of time. Once the redness goes away, use an uncented lotion, like Curel intensive therapy for extra dry skin, after every shower.
Avatar f tn They have a new Goldbonds eczema lotion I've seen advertised on tv but I havnt tried it. The healing lotion by them is what worked for me.
Avatar f tn My son had excema on his face as a baby, I would put Eucerin brand lotion on it which seemed to help.
Avatar m tn it appears to be an "eczema" disease. i'v been experiencing it for 2 years and it spreaded from my middle, to the 2nd, 4th and now the 1st finger (only right hand). So the finger's skin made a cycle, where it peeled, and then it grows the newer one but its thick and theres no fingrprint in it, then it goes back to peeling and again. (But in a small area).
1205562 tn?1554747006 A friend of mine's son has eczema and she uses goat milk lotion on him to calm it down. It works wonders for her! It's hard to find in some areas though!
Avatar m tn My children have had recurring blisters between their toes for the last several months. We've been to several dermatologists but no one can explain what these are. They are not itchy and they tend to get better and worse over the course of several weeks. Also, they start as pinhead sized blisters that can grow to involve the entire toe (or multiple small blisters that grow together). Lamasil seemed to help after the initial outbreak, but does nothing now.
Avatar m tn Apply some calamine lotion on the affected area and keep the area well moisturized. Use only thin applications of moisturizer ointments as excessive amounts of ointment may restrict breathing of the skin and aggravate the condition. Topical steroids can be applied but they are available under prescription. Moreover to prevent infection, topical antibiotics may be needed. I suggest you to consult a dermatologist and get it evaluated.
9041091 tn?1410417329 My son has eczema and his doctor recommended I use Aveeno Baby Lotion and Aveeno Baby Body Wash on him. Been using it since he was 5 days old now he's 4 yrs old and you can't even tell he has eczema.
804692 tn?1238093818 Thanks so much for your help. I think you are right I went out and bought the calamine lotion for now but I did make a appointment with a dermatologist as well. Again thank you so much for the advice.
1281453 tn?1275894600 Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema. Apply calamine lotion and take some antihistaminics like Benadryl. If the symptoms persist then topical steroids may be needed. For this please consult a dermatologist. Also keep it well moisturized as eczema can be exacerbated by dryness of the skin. Use good quality moisturizers to prevent moisture loss from the skin.
19434616 tn?1477610086 Hello, everyone! A year ago I began to get rashes on my legs. I figured it was normal, as I get eczema, and promptly ignored it. I went to a dermatologist after several months, and she diagnosed it as nummular eczema. It's true it looked very similar, but the lotions she suggested didn't help. I went to another dermatologist as they started to show up in other places. She took a skin test, and it came back positive for ringworm.
Avatar f tn Hello, The doctors are right in saying that it can be either an allergy or a viral infection. In my opinion,it can be either dermatitis like eczema, hives or rash of measles. Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema. Allergic reaction can occur to strong soaps, Solvents, chemicals, certain foods, food additives, plants, metals, cosmetics, even urine and faeces of some animals (dust mites).
Avatar n tn There is really no definite cure for eczema and topical corticosteroids are the mainstay in controlling but not preventing the flares of eczema. You may ask your physician if taking antihistamines will be able to help at this point as this may help in reducing the itchiness. Applying calamine lotion and applying cold compress on the skin for not greater than 15 minutes may be able to help relieve the redness and the itchiness.
Avatar m tn t pregnancy related per say but are there any mommys out there that have babys with eczema? If so what do you do for it? Her doctor who saw her today just said to put vasolene on it but to some extent that is what I have been doing and I am seeing no improvement. I feel like there has got to be something I can do...
Avatar n tn Hello, In most cases of eczema no one treatment will be effective. Medical research shows that the most effective treatment plan for eczema involves using a combination of therapies to treat the skin and making lifestyle changes(prevention of triggers and application of lots of moisturizers) to control flare-ups. For mild-moderate eczema a weak steroid may be used whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid which are available by prescription.
Avatar f tn It might be eczema. Lotions specifically for that have oatmeal in them to help get rid of the dryness, so it might help more than a normal lotion.
Avatar f tn i was recently introduced to meleleuca products,n they are fantastic! it got rid of all the eczema rash, uses the pure oil, then the RENEW lotion,it is the best thing ive uses so far,it doesnt thin the skin out klike most cortisone creams the doc usually prescribes,my question is this...although the rash n itch has gone away, the awful pimple like blisters have not, does anyone know what i could use to rid of it?
Avatar f tn I haven't with pregnancy but am going thru it with my 11 month old. We where recommend eczema lotion from target the generic of aveeno. It's in the lotion area in a white bottle with a brown lid. After 3 days of use he is looking so much better. It was all over his body. Stop using Sented wash and with no dye in it. It's a start and is working great so far!
Avatar f tn Am I over reacting, is it safe for them to use chapstick on eczema, or is it further hurting the condition? Please help me so I can pass correct information on to my parents, since they choose not to listen to me! Thanks!
Avatar n tn A couple of my children have eczema. Two of them get red rashes and, one of them just has dry, scaly skin. All of them are itchy and get worse after water. Try a hydrocrotisone cream if it becomes rashy. Try using a non scented lotion after everytime you shower or swim. Your skin dries out when wet and becomes itchy. Lotion should help.
Avatar f tn My son had it at well.
