eczema

4461129 tn?1354930630 Ugh, I hope it isn't a fungal infection that sounds terrible. Thanks for the advice Sullyfish. I'm hoping it is dermatitis or eczema or something not serious. Although I've never had any of those before. I've had it for almost two days now so I don't know if an allergic reaction would last that long?
681148 tn?1437661591 I have tried everything I can think of. My scalp is dry and itchy. It sometimes has eczema or dermatitits in addition to this problem. I've added healthy oils to my hair and scalp and left them in. In a short time, my hair is back to its dry, dull and frizzy self. I'm at my wits end with this. I have loads of allergies, so I'm careful as far as that goes. I don't wash more than once every week or every other week.
Avatar f tn Hi HannaFromLondon. It shouldn't be much to worry about by the sounds of it I think you have eczema. I have it. All you need to do is keep your body parts moisturized. If they start to itch think about something else and keep your hands busy. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
Avatar f tn Recently developed itchy skin (pretty sure it is eczema) on my back and face. At times, like right now, my entire body itches and I just feel "off". I have bumps on my back and a few on my chest and torso and some redness and little bumpiness on my face but nothing substantial, it is mainly the itching. I have gone gluten free and milk free, but I did have butter last night. I use all organic products on my skin and hair and have not changed detergents or soaps recently.
Avatar f tn Hi everyone, For the entire summer, I've been dealing with escalating skin issues. It started out as itchy, irritated skin on my eyelids. I've been to the dermatologist twice and used Locoid Lipocream once a day. Things got a little better but never went away. Then she gave me Mupirocin to use once a day. Same issue - got more manageable, but never went away. On my own, I've been taking flax oil daily and using pure vitamin E oil on my eyelids and undereye area.
Avatar n tn i have history of eczema. it started off as itch and burning sensation on the sides of lips. now the sides of my lips often chapped and lead to open sores. chapstick doesn't work. i tried applying betnovate once and it helps. wonder if it is eczema and if yes, what is the recommended medication.
7122105 tn?1407103099 I'm going to be using Baby Magic. It's the brand my mom used for me and my brother and it smells amazing!!
482830 tn?1247020837 Thank you for responding to my ancient post! My boyfriend hadn't had jock itch for years but unfortunately I'm still itching. I went to a dermatologist and she diagnosed me with eczema. I flare up a few times a year. I wait it out and yet my best and fail not to scratch it. But I'm dealing with it. Thanks!
Avatar n tn Try NOW Jojoba Oil. I used it and it worked for me. it does take time but it worked.
Avatar n tn I recommend using Now brand Jojoba Oil! I f you can't find it in your health food store or cosmetic store you can buy it online! All you need is one drop in your palm to do your hands. I start using it before the winter starts as my hands would get chapped and I would get fingertip cracks.
Avatar f tn I have eczema on the skin around my mouth and even on my lips. Nothing seems to work. I recently noticed that after eating anything with tomatoes, even ketchup, causes my eczema around my mouth to get worse than it already is. So I have eliminated it from my diet for almost a year now. I have even started using organic toothpaste without fluoride and sodium lauryl sulfate.
Avatar n tn Try jojoba oil (pronounced ho-HO-ba) You can buy it at any health food shop. Provides all day moisturization jojoba oil doesn’t evaporate like water based moisturizers can. Very stable jojoba oil does not become rancid or lose antioxidants even after long periods of storage. Spreads well and absorbs well. The organic variety is free of pesticides, GMOs, and is sustainably farmed.
Avatar n tn s caused by the cold weather! Go to your health food store and buy Jojoba oil put a drop or two in your palm and add your hand cream and rub it in. use it at least 2x per day. P.S. when you wash don't use hot water as hot water dries out your skin use luke warm water.
Avatar m tn After seeing derm who said I had small pathces of ezema (serb D) I then tried few more products but everything still reacted (jojoba oil, shea butter, la roche posay, Avene, Cetaphil, baby products etc etc). Some times reactions were not face reddening but breakouts of larger pores and skin looking older and more grainy. I now think my problem is my skin barrier is so damaged that any ingredient I put on it reacts thus prohibiting the skin repairing.
7998970 tn?1435183202 Then rinse in warm water and apply some facial lotion or a little jojoba oil. Never have dry skin, the jojoba (after using for a month or more) keeps my face from getting too oily also. It got rid of every little bump and blemish and even reduced some scarring I had. Sorry this comment is so long! But I really really recommend this method of exfoliation.
883279 tn?1244102594 Hi, if you would like to use a natural product to help fade acne scarrring or repair sun damaged skin, then look for an oil that has Vitamin E (or even break open a Vitamin E capsule and smear it into the damaged skin). My favourite is Jojoba Oil which is high in Vitamin E and suitable for all skin types.
Avatar m tn go to a health food store and buy Jojoba Oil put it on before and after shaving. use just a few drops.
Avatar n tn You might have to find a chap stick that contains jojoba oil and beeswax. The beeswax doesn't go on wet like the other chap sticks on the market and the jojoba oil is healing and soothing. I have a friend who sells such a product but I don't want to advertise on here. If you want her Manly Man chap stick post on here and I will give you her store site.
163305 tn?1333668571 I use VIT E oil mixed w. grapeseed oil and jojoba on my face. I was having a lot of eczema type dryness around my eyes. Then after that absorbs, clarins sunscreen and foundation. Someone on here suggested A & D ointment around the eyes. cleared me up within a day or 2. keep us posted.
Avatar n tn I suffered from facial eczema when I was younger. I used hydrocortisone cream for a number of years to areas where it was particularly bad, which included my nose and forehead. Now the skin is visibly thinned to my nose, usually appearing red, and is constantly susceptable to spots due to the skins natural resistance weakened. It also become very greasy within hours and requires regular washing to prevent further spots. I have tried various creams but without much success.
Avatar n tn I would recommend a good lotion that contains jojoba oil. In the meantime, try to find out by process of elimination what you might be allergic to. And remember, you can become allergic or sensitized to something overnight. I would suggest an allergist, since there is no rash. A dermatologist needs to "see" something. (speaking from experience).
Avatar n tn A cream/lotion that contains jojoba oil and beeswax usually will help. Also a prescription corticosteroid cream/ointment. Lichen is supposed to "go away" in six months if treated properly. In some cases, however, it never goes away completely. I hope this helps....
Avatar m tn I have one spot which has a slight outline around it w/what my dermatologist calls hypopigmentation. I was thinking about trying Ginger Essential Oil blended w/either JoJoBa or Coconut Oil, or Coconut Oil by itself. I have also read about things like Turmeric, Red Clay or even Nigella Sativa Seeds/N. sativa, Sappinda and Saffron. Some of these ingredients are in a product called Vitiligo Green. Has anyone ever heard of this product and is it effective for hypopigmentation?
