Ordinary creams do not help (in fact I think they made it worse.) I recently went to work in a sewing mill and am beginning to wonder if it isn't some type of allergic reaction to something the fabric is treated with. I read at another site that SBR lipocream would help protect hands from chemicals. I am going to try it. Perhaps this may help some of you too.
About 48 hours ago, I noticed this heat sensation in my left shin. At first I thought I was standing too close to a heat vent in the floor at work! It is a warm, sort of tingly sensation that lasts 5 seconds and occurs, I don't know, 10 times throughout the day. I wonder if I slept on the leg funny?? Stress?? I am 43 and in reasonably good health but seem to be a hypochondriac (spelling?) at times.
I would get bad cramps and charlie horses in my legs. I also had muscle aches all the time and skin rashes(eczema). My mom was the type who would never take us to the dr unless we were almost dead! The only time I remember going to the dr was for my eczema and broken bones. It seems as if I have had the Graves' since my teen years. The symptoms would flare up at times and go away at others, depending on my diet and activity levels. I self medicated with marijuana and alcohol.
I tried to remove one with tweezers, and it was very tacky (as in sticky) and clearly goes deep under the skin. Part of it broke off but I could still see that the pore was plugged and a day or two later top of the plug was sticking out again. i can't find ANYTHinG online that looks like it.
Anti-itch drugs, often antihistamine, may reduce the itch during a flare up of eczema, and the reduced scratching in turn reduces damage and irritation to the skin. For mild-moderate eczema a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone or desonide), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide). eczema can be exacerbated by dryness of the skin. Moisturizing is one of the most important self-care treatments for sufferers of eczema.
I think I caught something at the Beauty Salon because it wasn't until after that I had the issues. I don't know if its totally unrelated but I've had charley horses in my legs that wake me up at night and the strangest thing the other day, my neck had what seemed to be the beginning of a charley horse, if thats possible. The muscles got tight but went away quickly.

First is of hives or urticaria and second is of atopic dermatitis/eczema. Hives (medically known as urticaria) are red, itchy, raised areas of skin that appear in varying shapes and sizes. They are of two types:acute and chronic(when hives persist for more than 6 weeks).
I am a 47 year old female. I had a history of psoriasis as a child. My rash started in December of 2009. I saw a dermatologist who diagnosed the rash as hives and possible eczema. He placed me on Prednisone 40mg daily for almost 3 mo with little improvement. The rash is bilateral and is migratory. I have used several otc and prescriptions for antihistamines and lotions with little to no improvement. The rash is currently on my upper back, neck, scalp and hips.
One TinY Bump 4 minutes For the last three or four weeks now, I have been getting one tiny(needle point tiny), itchy, irritating bump in the exact same spot, left labia minor, less than 1/8 inch below my clit. I've never had this issue before, but we just moved to a more humid climate a couple months ago. I noticed an itch one day when it had been particularly hot and humid.
Saw a special on TV that said just by having her son bath in water with a small amount of bleach in it, every night, his eczema has stayed in control incredibly well. Has helped so much, he reminds her of his bath if she forgets. Also, always noticed with my grandkids, that any cream they had us use, when they had us using cortizone cream and Eucerin, that the creams only work really well, when applied directly after bath or shower. Any other time was barely effectivew.
I get red rashes with spots that seem to be mainly under the skin but sometimes seem to be welts on top of skin. The rash in only on my ankles and is about 6-8" high. There is no fever. It subsides somewhat with benadryl but does not disappear. It seems to be aggravated by tylenol, but I also get it when I am not taking tylenol.. I get it even when no socks or stockings or pants are touching it.
I seriuosly do not think my HIV is causing this, since it feels like the allergic reaction I had earlier in the year, (which my HIV did not take part of). I hate my dermatologist, he doesn't seem to know anything. I have Clobatosol, triamcinolene, and protopic. All my derm tells me is "eczema". the creams don't work. I don't know what else it could be since this started before I started taking my HIV meds. Any ideas??

eczema (that started while going thru tx, most likely from the Ribivarin, and has turned into a chronic condition)and permanent hearing loss (I suffered hearing loss while in tx and, although it improved significanly, when tx ceased, it has never gotten back to 100% normal). I also have some food aversions that started in tx and continued post tx, as well and acid reflux symptoms.
Whether it's that bad or not, I advise you to see a dermatologist. Bring photographs if the rash is fluctuating in intensity. The doctor can do porphyrin tests in the (extremely remote) event that he or she thinks EPP is a possibility. One bad sunburn doesn't permanently damage the skin. Use hydrocortisone to tide you over, and get a definitiev diagnosis so you won't worry every time the sun shines. Take care. Dr.
I was plagued by restless leg syndrome, but generally active (in many sports) and healthy. Then, in college, I developed my first spasm - in my back, on the right side. It's so debilitating, I have to crawl on my hands and knees to the bathroom. I begin to get this spasms on a recurring basis, in combination with bouts of fatigue that force me to sleep through class. And I was a straight-A, bookish, non-partying student. I was not a class-skipper.
I am also tired all the time and can't get motivated at all, when I used to train horses for a living, in the heat! Is this familiar, the tenderness and fever also?
does anyone think it would make an appreciable difference in my SVR chances to continue treatment for another 4 weeks? i am geno 1 and don't know my exact baseline viral load at the beginning of tx (docs used old 2003 figure of about 60,000 as a guide)......the virus became unmeasurable on the "old-school" PCR test at week 4 (the one that only measures down to 650).
Hi 3r2x3, I have the exact same skin condition -- and it has gotten much worse in the past couple of days! in fact, mine is much worse than the pictures you have posted. Did you ever figure out what the problem is? If so, I would love to know. Thanks...
We have 3 things in common: HCV, horses and the piano. I had no idea you studied music.
It started with a need to scratch in the middle of my back, but over a few weeks worsened and became more generalized, culminating in me waking up in the night thinking someone had slipped a dead horses head in the bed. a la 'The Godfather' only to find that I had ripped up the inside of my left arm. This led me to take things more seriously.
and anxiety depression issues that are heightened when I am in Pain. Pain in my upper left chest area inbetween my 2nd and 3rd rib down towars the middle. I usually wake up with it and it can sometimes last all day. Much different feeling than that of "anxiety" chest pains. This is more specific. Honestly. Flucuating Blood Pressure. Some days blood pressure is normal, when i am especially stressed out.
I live with 2 cats which I could have never have done as a child. Keep in mind the itching is also present in the right nipple. This often happens when the palm itching begins. I don't see any dryness on the nipple or the palms. Thank you for your help!
Then at night, whatever side I lay on clogs shut. in the morning there is thick crusty crud that again I try not to pick at. Im obviously in continual circle of symptoms here. Dr's seem to think I cause this problem by itching which causes infection which causes itchiness. HELP please? I am open to homeopathic suggestions as mainstream medicine just seems to temporarily relieve the symptoms and not cure the cause.
The gluten molecules-mainly from gmo grains- resemble the TPO (Thyroid Peroxidase - an enzyme necessary for the signalling of Thyroid hormone production as you probably know by now) molecules and thus the immune system in its response against gluten, attacks the TPO in the Thyroid also! So you must have a complete list of all the "illegal" products, foods and drinks that contain gluten, including the ones listing ingredients disguising the presence of gluten!!!
Day 22 Cold Turkey Tramadol ... I woke up HAPPY. I used to wake up happy all the time, before the Tramadol. Waking up happy is good. Then I tried to move. I had to use my hands and arms to get up out of bed. My body has been pushed as far as it will go. So after trying all my best tricks (aminos, coffee, food, vitamins, water) I finally stopped the struggle and called in sick for work. Tomorrow will be a busier day anyhow.
I do know that my condition worsened recently after my best friend died suddenly in April. Within a week I noticed a marked increase in peeling and cracking and it hasn't gotten any better. My original outbreak with this came at the same time I was going through a divorce in 1982. Connections?
Havent been on this forum in about 2 yrs after my old computer crashed & by the time I got another computer I didnt know where most of the sites I frequently were anymore. Anyway I will explain some similar things to what you have experienced. I got answers, not all of them but they gave me some. I had joint pain when I was young. I was told I had 'gout' due to the high acid proteins in urine - creatinine I think it was called.
Keep in mind, I was using all sensitive skin products because I've had eczema for years so I knew it wasn't irritation caused by that (but even the sensitive skin cream would sting if any got in the area). My condition was originally ruled a yeast infection. I went on diflucam (sp?) and it got slightly better but the soreness was still there. From then on out I've been eating yogurt or taking acidophilus every day.
