1151771 tn?1262025120 Fungal infections do not have any relationship in particular with change in diet. Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema. Allergic reaction can occur to strong soaps, Solvents, chemicals, certain foods, food additives, plants, metals, cosmetics, even urine and faeces of some animals (dust mites). I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn My husband and I are at a loss. We even treated her and us for scabies in case that it is, even though the dermatologist ruled that out. We are scared and overwhelmed and mostly concerned. My precious daughter is really suffering. Does anyone have any advice or maybe have had similar experiences? (for your sakes I hope not). Thank you so much.
Avatar f tn yes my daughter got it and it is eczema,my doctor prescribed emollient, you put it in the bath but you have to be careful as it is oil based and the baby becomes very slippery.
Avatar m tn I am now very worried that I may have caused permanent damage to her eyes. I am taking her to an ophthalmologist in a couple of days, but I am hoping to find an answer about the possible effect of Locoid on the eyelids for one week in a 1.5 year old toddler. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn I am curious how easy it is to transmit it to my toddler son. I never kiss him when I have it but once in a while a stray hand of his may hit it. I try to wash his hand. Immediately, but I am not sure how easy it would be in this scenario for him to get it. Is transmission possible with that little of contact or does it need to be more sustained touch.
4268628 tn?1375041176 Lol...nope it won't be around forever. You can thank your plummeting hormones for changes to your skin. It's like the whole 9 months wasn't enough and pregnancy has to get in a few last digs. My skin goes haywire after all of my deliveries too. How are mommy and baby?! Besides the eczema?
Avatar n tn The rash could be measles, chicken pox, allergy or herpes shingles. However since the rash is only in one side I feel its most likely a shingles or eczema or allergic dermatitis to something that part of the body came in touch with. I think you should discuss this with your pediatrician. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage without examining the rash. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
Avatar n tn My fourteen month old toddler has mild eczema and allergy to tree nuts + dairy; that has mainly manifested itself on his face in the form of small red patches. However, (not sure if the following is related at all) just a few months ago when the weather started getting colder and we turned the heat on, he started getting a dry rash-like patches on both his legs. Sometimes some patches would last just a day, other times they stick around for a while.
Avatar m tn Help, i have oral herpes, the scabs are closed and pink skin is just visible, then i kissed my son 3 years old in the stomach, about 3 days before, after taking a bath today he got rashes in the right side part of his body, is this hsv1?
Avatar n tn I have a toddler son, who has terrible eczema skin. He has enlarged lymph nodes EVERYWHERE. Inguinal, scalp, axillary.... They have done 2 different CBCs on him and both have been normal. Since he can't really talk or tell me what is going on, I pray that he only has eczema. But since his main symptom is chronic itching, could this itching be from lymphoma/leukemia, as I have read those are symptoms??? Maybe he was wrongly diagnosed w/ eczema and may have something else?
Avatar n tn Hello, If there is any such persistent rash on the body which has been classified by a doctor as eczema then these blisters can be due to dyshidrotic eczema. Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema. But the confirmation of diagnosis has to be done first. Please consult a dermatologist and get it evaluated. I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
Avatar m tn my 3 year old son has developed a skin rash. He started to develop an itch on his penis and had pimple like dots 3 weeks ago and his doctor said it was normal and give him some onintment which cleared the dots. It has been 3 weeks not, his itch has continue from his penis to the rest of his arms and legs and back of the neck. I put olive oil to keep it from being dry and it appears patches of dry flaky spots developed and looked like it could be eczema.
Avatar f tn After I lost my mucus plug I started showering multiple times a day and when I'm in the shower I don't wanna get out
676912 tn?1332812551 s, well to many can cause a yeast infection, just like if a woman uses soap in the vagina, it can cause a chemical yeast infection and so forth. Also, make sure the undies he is wearing are rinsed well, or if you have switched detergents/body soap recently. I have to use ALL Free on my boys and on myself as we all have eczema. I too am not a HUGE fan of A&D ointment, I mainly use it on the kids for chapped lips.
Avatar f tn Is there any home remedies I can use to help my toddler for this fungus or does he need another type of treatment or see a dermatologist. He is almost 3 yrs old and intact.

Avatar n tn Her dad and I are divorced for 2 years now. We have mentioned to the doctor and he said not to worry about it because it's just a temporarly thing. He asked who lives in the house besides the three of us. It was just us. Now it's just me and her. She doesn't do that at school because's she embarrassed. I had asked her and she always tell me that she doesn't do it there. (I had talked to teachers to monitor and let me know). Nothing so far.
Avatar n tn Today was the first time she has wore socks in a week. She has played outside in grass with her sandals and nothing. He also said it can't be an allergy to laundry soap or it would develop else where. I am hoping to find the cause soon because it looks irrating and bothersome.
Avatar n tn It looks like there is a hole in my skin in these areas, and they are VERY tender. The nape of my neck is slightly itchy but now I think I am just driving myself crazy! I had eczema as a baby behind my ears, and have dry skin in the winter, but other than that, no other serious issues. Stage 0 breast cancer with a lumpectomy a year and a half ago, and a hysterectomy and lumpectomy 2 weeks apart a year ago October.
502674 tn?1249543704 Hi, Differentials may be atopic dermatitis, viral exanthems, allergic reaction to an insect bite. Have you not noted a lighter colored patch in the area when she was born? A birthmark may be excluded here given that this occurred only recently. I suggest that you have a pediatrician promptly assess this .This may be a case of atopic dermatitis. Also insect bites and fungal infections have to be ruled out. If there is any associated flu like symptoms then a viral rash should also be ruled out.
544684 tn?1240118000 and is wondering if there is anything else that we can give her other then dairy...i was told that cant give a toddler under 2 soy milk....so is there anything that we can give her....before we found out that it was dairy she loved yogurt and ice cream....
Avatar f tn sugar will end up in the urin, not in the poo. But I agree that it sounds like she has a gut problem, maybe a bad bacteria or even fungus. These are hard to test for, so the only advice I have is google scd diet and pecanbread.com, read through their advice, and think about if you want to give this special gut healing diet a try.
Avatar n tn Just last week i read about how apple cider vinegar helps in eczema itch relief. I gave it a try and it really works. I diluted the ACV in one part water and one part ACV and applied it with a cotton ball. Let it dry and apply Polisporin to areas that are starting to heal. I know everyone reacts differently but this is the only thing that worked for me for a long time. Im still in the healing stage from the scratching but the itch is gone.
Avatar f tn I always have the halox ointment on hand, and a light and regular application of the ointment makes it go away in a couple of days. I also make sure I do not apply a lot of it, so that my body doesn't become immune to the steroid and stops becoming effective.
