Avatar f tn My 3 month old has eczema, it started on his arms the dr prescribed a steroid cream. It went away but keeps coming back and on different parts of his body, any advice on what i can do to help stop his breakouts?
Avatar m tn Give baths every other day, and i found that pools made it worse so id wait to introduce the baby to a pool until they are 10 months to a year, because my daughter eventually grew out of it after she turned one
Avatar n tn The nape of my neck is slightly itchy but now I think I am just driving myself crazy! I had eczema as a baby behind my ears, and have dry skin in the winter, but other than that, no other serious issues. Stage 0 breast cancer with a lumpectomy a year and a half ago, and a hysterectomy and lumpectomy 2 weeks apart a year ago October. Could I have picked something up in the hospital and been carrying it around all of this time?
Avatar m tn t there be a linear improvement, instead of it going up and down a bit with this cream. The eczema does not itch at all (my baby does not scratch it, is not bothered by it), and I suspect it's seborhoeic eczema (judiging from pictures in a dermatology atlas). thank you for your anwer, with best wishes!
1456473 tn?1365827455 Went to the docs nearly 3 days ago as i had a spreading rash with an unbearable itch and the doc says its eczema but not pregnancy related and prescribed a daktacort cream (or something spelt like that) to help ease the itch. Im wondering if the diagnosis is correct as the cream does not seem to be working. If anyone has eczema, or had ever had it, is there ANYTHING that can possibly ease the itch? Im not scratching it as i know it will make it worse but i really need help!
Avatar f tn My son has eczema really bad and I use Baby Aveeno the one with the dark blue cap and it works magic on him.
9041091 tn?1410417329 To help with eczema get some Cortizone Eczema Lotion. Its betweeen $8-$10 a bottle.I ewas instructed not to put ANYTHINGthat has a scent to it on my sons skin becabecause it makes it worse and sunscreen has a scent and I've never heard of that helping either.
2170635 tn?1357911686 Eczema is best defeated by changing your soaps to hypoallergenic.... Including laundry soap. To me it honestly sounds like normal baby acne just a little extreme. Make a list of what you've tried and call your doctor. My son often needed a steroidal creme as an infant to kick things like this.
Avatar m tn I had a follow up question to eyelid eczema. In between flare ups of baby's eczema, is it safe to put vaseline or aquaphor on the lid a few times a day or would you recommend something else? He rubs his eyes a lot, so anything I put on the lid tends to get in them. Thank you!!
280369 tn?1316702041 When my guys were small, and even now, we gave them a bit of kayro syrup (sp) (the light kind, not the dark. I don't remember why, but I think it's because there's something in the dark syrup that doesn't help relieve the constipation.). When they were babies we'd mix it in with their milk and in a few hours...oh I had a lovely little present to go along with my happy babies. Now, we just give them a little bit in a teaspoon.
Avatar f tn My son had it at well.
Avatar f tn Target has a generic aveeno white bottle brown cap in the lotion section. Oatmeal baths. The steroid cream is NOT to be used on pregnant women unless the risk outweighs the problem.... I have to put it on my lil man and read the bottle after the first time putting on him and now make my husband do it just in case. The lotion works pretty good. The Dr said you can use crissco, Vaseline, auqaphor... However it's spelt.
Avatar m tn My son had eczema as a baby too, I found the cream to help him. I have, over the years moved to a much stronger cream. A few drops of olive oil in the bath is fantastic. Sounds horrible but often it's trial and error. Check your detergents and cleaning products as they can also lead to break outs. Over the Years I have worked out what flares mine up and what is ok to use.
Avatar f tn Any good treatment for eczema? 20wks today. Really suffering a lot. Tried Alpha Keri and QV intensive care but its not working. Help please....
Avatar f tn Okay..since I've been pregnant my eczema has flared up and is extremely uncomfortable. ... does anyone know of any safe remedies I could use?

Avatar m tn She also have numerous birthmarks over her body she have on on her back that break out in a sore once and become larger after. Can the these both be cancerous. I know of an American solider that had a birthmarks on his buttock and was sore once and later died of Melanoma resulting from this birthmark. We were also told she have Eczema when she was younger, but we have change her diet to include products that she was once not allowed to consume.
Avatar n tn I am an eczema sufferer and a physician and I have found that the Arbonne baby lotion and wash, used exclusively and on a regular basis. Has helped me manage my eczema over the past 5 years with little use of steroid creams. You can see this line on the website www.arbonne.com. It's the Arbonne Baby Care line and adults can use it too.
Avatar n tn Just last week i read about how apple cider vinegar helps in eczema itch relief. I gave it a try and it really works. I diluted the ACV in one part water and one part ACV and applied it with a cotton ball. Let it dry and apply Polisporin to areas that are starting to heal. I know everyone reacts differently but this is the only thing that worked for me for a long time. Im still in the healing stage from the scratching but the itch is gone.
6498330 tn?1389709379 Aveeno is great for ur baby's skin.
Avatar f tn I always have the halox ointment on hand, and a light and regular application of the ointment makes it go away in a couple of days. I also make sure I do not apply a lot of it, so that my body doesn't become immune to the steroid and stops becoming effective.
Avatar f tn My son had eczema. I used eczema lotion I think it was aveno along with eczema otemeal baths. It's a powder that comes in little packets you put in the bath water. I also used dreft baby detergent and organic sent free soap for the bath. Also don't bathe baby too often that will dry the skin out even more.
