Avatar f tn You won't cure eczema, you can just reduce flare ups.
Avatar f tn If you want to learn more about how we used natural products from this amazing herbalist/Doc who actually had a background in helping babies and toddlers with severe eczema, feel free to email me as I know how hard it can be. We sent tons of babies and toddlers to this Doc and they all are better for it. It's funny you titled you title your comments as "eczema and beyond" as I am just in the midst of creating a website called beyondeczema.
Avatar n tn Some of the typical symptoms of eczema is itchy, flaky, dry skin. If you have these symptoms, it is possible you suffer from eczema. Unfortunately, there's not miracle cure because the flare-ups can be caused by so many things. If you have insurance or other means, see a dermatologist to confirm the skin condition and for prescription-strength corticosteroid creams or ointments. The dermatologist may even recommend a special light therapy for your skin.
Avatar m tn ve read somewhere that it is very dangerous to be infected with hsv when you have eczema, (eczema herpetecum) so safety precaution would be not to kiss him anywhere forever right? thank you grace and i'll be waiting for the answer.

Avatar f tn I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be dyshidrotic eczema or contact dermatitis. It is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash). Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. For mild-moderate eczema a weak steroid may be used (e.g.
Avatar n tn The rash is just on her arms. She is 11 years old. Our doctor said she was treating for scabies "just in case" as she cant understand why the eczema medicated lotion has not cleared it up. I dont think it is scabies because it has been going on since spring time and she is the only one that has the problem. And it is only on her arms, not the classic places scabies would be. She also does not have the unbearable itching that I read about scabies.
Avatar n tn In the arch of my right foot there is an itchy blotch that peels every so often (perhaps some of the "cures" I've tried. Sometimes it itches so bad I can hardly stand it. I've tried Oil of Oregano, Iodine, baking soda, vinegar, peroxide, campho phenique. Nothing has cured it but I was hoping for a more instant cure. How long do I need to doctor this foot and what IS the best remedy?
Avatar m tn I first started having small, clear, itchy blisters on my hands/ around my fingers and then they spread to my feet. They small under the skin at first and then seem to band together and get bigger and bigger. Ultimately, they got so big on my feet that I couldn't work for 3 weeks and they were protruding out from my feet about an inch. It was the most horrific experience ever. I was put on Prednisone and every other cream out there for this problem.
Avatar f tn Unprocessed organic virgin coconut oil soothes the area immediately and goes to work on healing eczema, dermatitis or just about any skin condition. The eczema creams on the market today can be used for both skin hydration and to reduce inflammation but coconut oil is a cheap reliable home remedy.
Avatar m tn Hi my name is Samir. I have been suffering from an extremely itchy skin rash for at least 5 years. It started on my eyelids, and the doctor prescribed me a cortisone cream, but the problem is recurring to this day. Then 4 years ago, i developed a skin rash in my groin area around my testicles and on the inner thighs and around the anus. then this year, the problem has spread to my lower stomach, underneath the elbows, and the sides of my neck.

Avatar n tn The rash could be measles, chicken pox, allergy or herpes shingles. However since the rash is only in one side I feel its most likely a shingles or eczema or allergic dermatitis to something that part of the body came in touch with. I think you should discuss this with your pediatrician. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage without examining the rash. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Avatar m tn Itchiness is a dominant factor. The itch scratch cycle may lead to a wet or weeping rash as in the case of eczema. Wash the area with a mild cleanser and keep the area dry always. Use Cetaphil cleanser to keep the area from being irritated. There is really no single definite medical treatment for eczema. Topical corticosteroids may help control the flare. Avoid using the gym equipment or at least keep your skin well covered when in the gym.
Avatar f tn http://itsan.org/ I still have the eczema blisters on my fingers, but I have been trying to keep it under control by covering it with cotton finger bandages, giving it occasional salt water cleaning, and occasionally applying a tiny bit of turmeric to stop the weeping/itching. I don't moisturize it because I noticed that any moisturizer I use (whether it's cetaphil or something more natural like olive oil, etc.) would cause irritation.
Avatar f tn I have took 60 mg of vyvanse and can't sleep. I have. Two toddlers and desperately need sleep. Is it safe to take unisom u On top of the vyvanse? I don't want to OD but I'm tired.
Avatar m tn I am not discouraging you from exploring any alternative cures. The medical establishment does not have all the answers to the problem of cancer. This is why medical research continues so we all may have better and more effective treatments for this disease. What I wish to caution against are treatments which claim to be a panacea or cure-all for cancer, of which there are too many out there.
