Common Questions and Answers about Eczema cures lotions

eczema

Avatar f tn Gold Bond or Aveeno lotions do provide relief. Aveeno Oatmeal bath packets help a lot also. If the lotions don't help you can take Atarax but its prescription only. Its helps with the itching and sleeping. The lotions give temporary relief, but Atarax helps for 8-10 hours. No itching.
Avatar f tn I bought the expensive lotions, potions and creams and ointments all to no avail. They don't work, so save your money. The lotions smell wonderful but so do some from the drug store. Oh, I forgot, along with the Roasted Dandelion tea the only other new thing I've been taking is Coconut oil - like 1 teaspoon a day or I cook with it. Wishing you the best.
Avatar f tn I have eczema too and I'm 36w2d I use cortizon 10 it helps alot also stay away from scented lotions, try jergens and Vaseline lotions as well. If all else fails you can get a prescription from your doctor for hydrocortisone.
Avatar f tn My son had it at well.
Avatar f tn t flake and responds to unscented lotions and other treatments for dry skin and eczema but also is worsened by these products. Changing laundry detergents, soaps, lotions etc has not helped me. It also appears in any season and away from animals.
Avatar n tn ive noticed for a while that the skin on my stomach and breasts have been flaking and peeling and very dry. I moisturize as often as i can but when the skin dries up it goes back to being flaky and dry. i don't know what could be causing it or why. my mom thinks it might be a skin fungus. it won't go away and i've tried lotions, oils, and cocoa butter but while for the moment that my skin is moisturized it seems to go away, as soon as the product dries my skin again becomes flaky.
Avatar f tn My kids and myself suffer from eczema. Weve tried hydrocortisone all the lotions nothing helps. What else can we do?
Avatar m tn i used gold bond, aveeno, curel, cetaphil, eucurcin, lubriderm and had to stay away from those perfumy smelly lotions (irritated me worse). i found cepaphil worked on my face and eyes, i also just recently added a bit of vaseline to the cetaphil cream and it has helped so much. i put vaseline on my lips with cue tips in morning and night, and have added vaseling to cetaphil for my face and it works (only use a little for face).
Avatar f tn s a rash or what, and she has rough spots on her legs. I already asked the pediatrician and she said it was eczema and gave me special lotions and soap, but it hasn't cleared up any. I'm going to make another appointment I was just wondering if any of you knew what it could be.
Avatar f tn We eventually found out that it was a food allergy causing the eczema. Aveeno lotions and washes work great.
Avatar f tn Could it be eczema or something else? I have never had eczema, so this would seem weird to me if it is and to just have it in one isolated spot. Should I see my doctor? Thank you!
Avatar f tn Eczema can be pretty tricky to work with and a huge variety of things can set it off. As far as if it's leaky gut- I can't say. There are many medical professionals that don't believe that leaky guy is really a 'thing'- and others that thing it's being blamed for all kinds of medical issues that it has nothing to do with. It's important to try to identify your triggers- I eliminated all scents in the products I used. Fragrance free lotions, soaps, everything.
Avatar n tn Mostly in the fall and winter time my fingertips and around the nail will start peeling. I have tried lotions, creams, and nothing will help. They will continue to peel. They don't itch or anything else just peel. Anyone have ideas?
7122105 tn?1407103099 t like the lotion, it dried out my kids skin out bad, I love Aveeno lotions they work great and they have a really good steroid free lotion for eczema!
Avatar m tn ve tried treating it with different types of lotions but lotions seem to make it worse. I tend to scrath the area because of the itchiness which then leads to breaking of the skin at the base of my penis. Never breaking of the skin anywhere else in the genital region, just at the crevase of the lower pubic area at the base of the penis. It's always a horizontal line (looked like a razor blade went over my skin a few times).
1486289 tn?1315842255 s actually eczema you may want to speak with her ped about something that will help clear it up. Not all lotions help eczema, especially if they have alcohol, fragrances or other unnecessary additives in them. My 7 yo has pretty bad eczema and we've found the aveeno line of products to be EXTREMELY helpful and it has helped us to minimize the use of topical steroids. Aveeno does make a line of products for infants. There is also an infant eczema cream tho I'm not sure of the brand..
Avatar n tn You might have eczema when my eyes gets itchy n red n burn I found out it was eczema and sometimes my neck gets dry super dry
Avatar f tn i am 15 years old and suffer from severe eczema. i am covered in eczema which is always inflammed so therefore i am in alot of pain, this restricts me from doing things and looks extremely ugly! i am always fully covered which seems weird to all my friends and everyone at school because only my best friend knows and has seen my eczema.
Avatar n tn This also happens with other lotions too that never used to make my skin burn until recently. Is there any way I can treat this problem or get help for it? Please help.
Avatar f tn It could be eczema, but it would be very hard to tell you for sure what it is without giving the doctor a chance to take a look and gather a bit more medical information from you. You can try to cut out lotions and things with fragrance- use Vasaline on the rash and see if that helps. It may be a reaction to something too though- so if you don't see any improvement, get to the doctor to have them take a look.
