Avatar m tn Your symptoms could be due to many causes. We have to work towards ruling out the causes step by step. It could be gall bladder related, like gallbladder dyskinesia, which can cause your symptoms. Your symptoms could sometimes be due to hypothyroidism. It can cause constipation and bloating. A third possibility is colon disorders like inflammatory bowel disorders. You may need a HIDA scan, colonoscopy and thyroid profile to rule out these conditions.

Avatar n tn 30% of women will spot or have some bleeding during their first trimester. 50% of those will have normal pregnancies. So, the reality is, yes it could be a sign of impending miscarriage, or it could be normal. They don't really know for sure what causes it, but some reasons can be sex during pregnancy (doesn't cause miscarriage, just bleeding sometimes) as your cervix is more sensitive; your body getting rid of old blood, etc. It is always best to call your Dr. and let him/her know.
1388714 tn?1279920927 For the past few years I have had recurring pus filled bumps on my foot that typically last a couple of weeks then scab over brown and peel. It itches right before the bumps form then causes no other sensations. Ive noticed it happens mainly in the spring and always in the summer. If I peel the bumps before theyve healed I notice many small holes it can be up to 6 or 8.
630293 tn?1222365787 Looks like eczema. This is a horrible disease that causes your skin to itch and flake. Their are many types of eczema and it affects everyone differently. Their is no cure and no reasonable treatment. Steroids are used but cause problems and can't be used for long. If you go to a Dermatologist, they will tell you there is nothing they can do, just learn to live with it. This disease just makes you uncomfortable and rarely causes other problems.
Avatar f tn Could it be eczema or something else? I have never had eczema, so this would seem weird to me if it is and to just have it in one isolated spot. Should I see my doctor? Thank you!

Avatar m tn it appears to be an "eczema" disease. i'v been experiencing it for 2 years and it spreaded from my middle, to the 2nd, 4th and now the 1st finger (only right hand). So the finger's skin made a cycle, where it peeled, and then it grows the newer one but its thick and theres no fingrprint in it, then it goes back to peeling and again. (But in a small area).
Avatar m tn Secondly the thrusting of the penis against the vagina and anus causes friction and thus tears are much more common. Eczema on the other hand is a topical skin condition affecting the epidermis - the top layer which is less vascular with capillaries supplying the blood. Thus semen with HIV cannot penetrate into the blood stream in any sufficient quantity. Your doctor is absolutely right not to recommend PEP.
Avatar f tn Well they don't itch or cause any pain. They're just dry and flaky. Lotion causes them to sting; that's the only pain I experience.
Avatar f tn The most causes for the dry patch are Eczema and Psoriasis. Eczema is one condition where the hands get cracked. In this disorder contact with triggering factors like soaps, cosmetics, jewelry, clothing, and detergents causes symptoms. Sometimes sweat, changes in temperature and psychological stress are known to trigger these episodes. Psoriasis is an auto immune disorder that can cause dry cracked hands. Genetic and immunologic theories have been predicted as causes for psoriasis.

Avatar f tn Another big thing to take out of the diet is SUGAR--all forms of it, natural and otherwise. Sugar causes inflammation. And, what is eczema other than a form of external inflammation? Thus, the other name for eczema is dermatititis. Eczema is just more severe. I suggest that you DON'T use artificial sweeteners. They cause other health issues. They don't taste good anyway. Weaning myself off of sugar gradually didn't work. I had to go cold turkey. Guess what?
Avatar f tn If your having a constant genital itch, you should see your gyno to help clear them up before the tissue is damaged and it becomes cronic. No std causes constant itch.
