Avatar f tn Hello, From the symptoms it can be dermatitis skin, contact dermatitis or nummular eczema. Nummular eczema also presents as itchy, red, dry circular lesions. Apply calamine lotion and mild steroid cream and take some oral antihistaminic like Benadryl. If the symptoms persist then please get it seen from a dermatologist. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar m tn i have a problem with the dryness around my nostrils.anyway theres usually dead white or sometimes yellow-ish skin around it so i decide to rub it off and my skin becomes really red.after i rubbed it off i put on some neosporin, few of the redness went away but next day i realized my skin began to break and dry again a bit in the same place so i decide to do the same with the neosporin.
Avatar n tn The past week or so, the patchiness is going up onto the cheeks and even his nose. It is very red/angry looking when wet, and when dry it feels almost scaly. I have tried keeping it dry, as well as applying Vaseline, Vitamin E oil and hydrocortisone cream, none of which has made much of a difference.
Avatar n tn i have really bad eczema around my nose and i try to scratch it off and it just comes back. i also have it in my eyebrows but i don't know what to do. if you could tell me anything it would be apprciatted thanks!
Avatar m tn ve been experiencing red and often flaky skin on my forehead and around the sides of my nose. The skin in these areas is a little stiffer than the surrounding unaffected parts. I haven't tried any treatments yet; but try to remove the scaly parts in the shower every day with a lufa. I also have reoccurring dandruff that may be linked to the problem. Is there any way I can cure this ailment?
Avatar n tn The area around your nose looks like psoriasis. Look up some images of it and see if you can relate. It is a more severe form of eczema. Can be caused by stress or change in environment. Hope that helps!
Avatar n tn I have a strange skin problem. Recently I have noticed tiny dots of liquid coming from the pores on my nose. It's barely noticable but I get quite paranoid about it and it's annoying with my make up. I'm pretty sure it's not sweat and I definitely don't have oily skin (I have eczema). What else could it be and how can I stop it? I have actually had a new foundation recently (17 sheer moisture) and it's since around that time I have noticed it happening.
Avatar f tn It is symetrical all the way round my mouth about 2 inches out both sides form my mouth, all around my chin, up to the bottom of my nose. Doctors said he doesnt know, and never got back to me. I very rarely eat carrots, have stopped eating ketchup, i drink 5 pints of water a day now, to flush my system out. I have A-Z vitamins (started a month ago) and nothing is working. I cant use fake tan, as it builds up on my yellow skin and makes it even more darker, foundation does the same.
Avatar m tn Ive been treated by previous dermatologist for eczema on my face around my eyes back of my ears and even on my body but they could never help with the marks around my mouth. A previous dermatologist gave me bleaching creame and pretty much told me that because my top lip is bigger than my botton lip I may have saliva coming out the sides of my mouth even though it doesnt feel like it causing a reaction. Ive done just about everything and used just about everything.
Avatar n tn I have had this rash for more than three months and is is spreading. It started around my mouth then moved to my nose and has spread quickly .Noe I don't have anything around my mouth, but it is on my nose (under) and it hurts .My skin is dry and red and there are very small pimples with water inside. What could that be? Could it be serious?Could I pass this to my baby when kiss him?
Avatar f tn I do #4 tomorrow. I have itching around my nose and on my eyelids. I do use tretinoin to try to ward off the signs of aging, and that could be making my symptoms worse. It does tend to be drying. My left foot cracked in two places the other day and it is quite painful. I am wondering if they still make Crack Cream. The eczema that I have always had on my hands is now raging. I like Gold Bond lotion Extra Strength for itching on the body. I would not put it near my eyes.
Avatar m tn It mostly effects women and appear around the nose, mouth and eyes. Treatment consists of oral antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs. A mild soap or soap substitute, such as Dove or Cetaphil should be used for washing. Scrubbing should be avoided. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
Avatar m tn I've always had dry skin. Especially around my nose and eyebrows. When I don't wash my face enough, those areas become really itchy and flaky. I have kind of dark skin, so now I notice spots where it looks like I've peeled some of the skin off by rubbing or scratching those areas. And now spots that look like lightened skin are there instead of my usual skin tone. What does this sound like, and what can I do to get my skin to grow back to normal in those areas??????????
Avatar f tn i have a similar issue except there is not swelling. Its dry around my nose above my eyebrows sometimes my forehead and edges of my mouth, its flaky and itches especially if its hot out and would sometimes bleed.
Avatar m tn Right now, i have these red patches around nose, around my hairline and my collarbone. The ones at my hairline and collarbone are itchy. and Sometimes i feel itching sensation on random parts of body but no rashes. I also have dandruff, it's been 7/8 years with it, I use zinc pyrothine shampoo but it's temporary solution. My hair have been thinning, only recently it had me worrying when i saw bald patches around my hairline.
Avatar n tn Lately I have been getting dry skin, especially around my eyes. It's become inflammed and red underneath my eyebrows, and around to the outsides of my eyes. Whenever I put moisturizer on it, all it does is burn. I've tried multiple moisturizers, and nothing is working. I recently bought new acne medication, do you think I could be allergic to it? Or is it just because I need to drink more water or something like that?
Avatar n tn Seborrheic dermatitis is a common skin condition that causes flaky, dry, white to yellowish scales to form on oily areas esp. under the nose or anywhere on face. Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema. My sincere advice would be to consult a dermatologist and get it evaluated as treatment is diagnosis specific. I hope it helps. 5519088 tn?1369145879 I am wary with using corticosteroid as it permanently thins the skin, and the area around the eyes is already thin. I have also tried Bacroban Cream (mild effect) and Ichthammol Ointment 20% (mild effect). What I believe started this is a multitude of things. For about a year I have been juicing as much as possible, and when juicing I skin a large aloe leave and after blending in the 'meat' I wipe the skin over my hair and skin as a kind of conditioner.

Avatar m tn s only slightly paler that the surrounding skin, and there is also some redness around my nose. I was just wondering what it was? I have some pictures attached. Thanks! https://imgur.
Avatar f tn Hello, First of all was the diagnosis of eczema confirmed for these dry red patches on the nose? This is because eczema often presents with itchy, red, dry and flaky skin. If the rash is non itchy then dry skin or seborrheic dermatitis of the face are important differentials to be ruled out. Seborrheic dermatitis is a common skin condition that causes flaky, dry, white to yellowish scales to form on oily areas esp under the nose or anywhere on face.
