Eating to few calories

Common Questions and Answers about Eating to few calories

eating

Avatar f tn No, eating that few calories will cause your body to hold onto fat stores, because there isn't enough food coming in. Women should never go below 1200 calories/day.
Avatar f tn I'm having trouble eating enough calories in the day. I'm not a huge eater to begin with, so it's hard to make sure I am getting enough for me and my little one. Does anyone have any good suggestions that are healthy but full of calories?
Avatar f tn Eating for 2 is a myth you only need 200 more calories a day which is hardly anything.
2020005 tn?1628125976 In order to lose weight, you will need to create a deficit of 500 calories/day in order to lose 1 pound/week (1 pound = 3500 calories, which is 500 calories X 7 days). You can either decrease calorie count by 500 or decrease calorie count by 250 and use up 250 calories through exercise to create your deficit. Avatar n tn so im 14 and I weigh 112.6 lbs. I have belly fat that in desperately trying to get rid of and it doesn't seem to go away. I've been doing belly workouts but they don't do anything. I'm on a diet too. I try to stay under 900 calories everyday but I don't really watch the types of food I eat. What should I do to get rid of the unwanted fat?
Avatar f tn Well to gain muscle you should work out. Doing 30 push ups a day in a month or less you'll have some nice ton arms. Also crunchs. I do 15 push ups, 20 sit ups, 20 left sit ups, 20 right sit ups, 20 sit ups, 15 push ups and doing that everyday for a few weeks will really tone it up. Also it's okay to have a rest day every so often. There's tons of simple exercises you can do to tone up. I also suggest getting 1,000 calories to build muscle and get protein.
Avatar m tn My stomach is burned and healing, no detectable signals of hunger or being full. Eating totally different foods, no past meals to compare to. I'm starting from scratch. Trying to start with the minimum required as food causes pain. I don't want to loose any muscle or weight. Male 5' 8" Thin boned 140 lbs, Look healthy. Taking multi-vitamin, and 2,000 Vitamin D. 19350424 tn?1476211092 I'm a 15 year old female, and for the past 8 months I have been on a restrictive diet of about 1100 - 1200 calories. I know this was a completely dumb and stupid thing to do, and now that I've become aware of my mistakes I want to fix it. I should be eating at about 1800/2000 calories a day and I'm definitely not vigorously active but I'm also most certainly not sedentary either.
Avatar f tn Hey ladies I just have a question.
Avatar f tn I use to feel the same way about eating every 3 hours! It definitely takes some effort to force yourself to eat sometimes, lol:) Everyone is different but I'm sure you'll get use to it. Try to stick to the time and just eat small meals to keep your metabolism up. For example, eat half an apple, a few raw almonds, and piece of string cheese. If you can only eat a few bites of each, at least that's something. Try walking...it'll help burn calories making you hungry.
Avatar f tn For a normal pregnancy you would add 300 more calories to your base calories. I just checked my Healthy Eating During Pregnancy book, that suggests 2,400 calories minimum. I'd check your doctor to be sure you aren't under or over eating.
Avatar n tn I think it depends overall on how much you're eating versus your activity level. If you're extremely active and your Calorie targets for weight loss are 2200, a 400 Calorie deficit isn't as significant as if your target for weight loss if 1400 Calories and you're only eating 1000. Cutting too many Calories at once can cause your body to preserve its energy and hold onto as much as possible, so you don't want to cut too extremely because it can be counter-productive.
53833 tn?1234996629 Because they are low in fiber you have to eat more to feel full. It’s like trying to fill up a sink that has no stopper. Eventually you can get it to fill up – but it takes a lot more water to do it. So. When you eat more, you take in more calories than you need and your body stores the extra carbs and calories as fat. That’s the other side of the low-fat diet. Unless you eat low-fat and high fiber, at the same time, you’re not going to lose weight.
Avatar f tn The most you can hope to lose in a healthy manner is 3.5 to 4 kg in a month... In order to do that, you will have to confine your diet to high quality protein and lots of veggies, little fruit/sugar and good quality fats. Exercise is a major thing when it comes to losing weight, so you'll have to keep calories in check, as well as burn more calories.
2187276 tn?1338038639 You can achieve this by eating 500 calories less, exercising 500 calories more, or splitting it and eating 250 calories less and exercising 250 calories more. Since you have a desk job, there are "chair exercises" you can do that will help you, too. Additionally, be sure to leave your desk for a few minutes, every hour or so and walk around a little bit. I don't know how long your lunch break is, but maybe you could go for a short, brisk walk, once you finish eating.
Avatar f tn I weigh 100 pounds and sometimes act with eating disordered behaviors, such as vomiting after I eat mostly because I felt sick. Starving myself is another thing I often do because I don't feel hungry. I occasionaly use laxatives because I feel I have ate too much and will need help getting it out. The problem is I often don't feel well when I eat. On my most fat days consume about 3,000 calories. On some days I consume as little as only 200 calories.
Avatar m tn I drink tjat much water because its half my body wieght.
1163390 tn?1278835940 t think you necessarily have to worry about cutting off your eating at a specific time every day, or not eating X amount of hours before bed. I go to bed really late most nights and if I cut my eating off at 7, I'd be starving the rest of the night (most nights I eat dinner later than 7) If you're going to be counting calories, just make sure you don't exceed your daily limit. However you choose to space them out throughout the day won't have any effect of your weight loss.
Avatar f tn As usual, I will suggest you don't look at the website above -- Atkins has been proven not to work and to not be healthy. There are many better options. And just to be clear, you're not on a no-carb diet -- vegetables and fruits and beans also contain carbs. I assume what you mean is you're not eating simple carbs, or I hope that's what you mean. Being too austere in your diet can be a problem, especially if you're diet is unbalanced.
Avatar f tn Every woman is different,as long as your eating regulary, baby will be find,u really dont need to consume twice as much the calories while pregnant unless your docter says other wise if its due to medical reasons.Every woman is different,so is each pregnancy.Appetite may lessen or progress,as long as your docter is content with where u are in your pregnancy and all is well with baby then theres no need to worry.
Avatar f tn Counting calories is useful, but calories aren't the story. Digestion and metabolism is the better story. If you're doing well, don't fret the calories. If you're not, you're probably eating things your body doesn't move through well enough and it stores as fat. Don't worry so much about the details, worry more about how it's all working out.
