Eating to avoid morning sickness

Common Questions and Answers about Eating to avoid morning sickness

eating

Avatar f tn Avoid greasy or fatty foods. Avoid laying down within thirty minutes of eating. Eat smaller meals, more often then before (I used to eat three meals a day with one snack I'm between each, now I eat a small meal every 2-3 hours and a snack or two) the reason I'm saying that is because it evens out your bodys levels, I find that if I let myself get hungry I will throw up the food I eat, so I basically always have to have something in my stomach.
Avatar n tn I've always had problems with constipation but I'm taking prenatal vitamins that have a mild laxitive in them. Also eating alot of berries. That helps n every 2 weeks I drink or chug a bottle of 100% prune juice. That helps alot.

Avatar f tn I didnt eat alot due to that. Try to snack healthy through out the day and avoid large meals. It helped me alot. I didnt start eating everything until 34 weeks. I am now 37 weeks and my baby weighs 5 lb 11 oz. Which is on the smaller side. Try to make sure u get all of ur vitamins and nutrients. Talk to ur dr. About ur diet.
Avatar f tn I used to get them sometimes, and also I used to take the vitamin pill without eating nothing and it used to make it worse. So to avoid nause and vomits make sure you eat before pill or avoid drinking mill before taking it :) ...
Avatar n tn A full tummy and an empty will both make your morning sickness worse. I found during my first pregnancy, eating crackers or a banana first thing in the morning before getting out of bed helped. Constant small snacks throughout the day will help to beat it as well.
Avatar n tn Morning sickness can be rough, so sorry! Here's a few tips to help-- Eating small meals throughout the day instead of three big ones. Have some crackers or a snack by your bed, so when you get up you can put something in your tummy right away. Sliced apples, slicing lemons (the smell helps some), motion sickness bracelets, ginger or anything with ginger root in it, peppermint (even try some peppermint tea), and Vitamin B6. Don't have fluids and meals together.

144571 tn?1213931874 Oh wow! Morning sickness....how I dont miss that. I had it really bad. Nothing seemed to work 100 percent but ginger ale was the only drink that agreed with me. I had to avoid alllll smells as everything was over enhanced and made me sick. I couldn't even handle being overheated, nothing! It was aweful. Crackers were a joke even. You are going to have to find out what works for you best. My MS lasted until almost 20 weeks and yes, I am having a girl.
Avatar f tn Pregnancy is one thought, but if that's not possible, perhaps your blood sugar is too low when you wake up, perhaps you aren't eating enough breakfast before you do your morning athletics... or perhaps you're eating the wrong kind of breakfast. We'd need to know how soon you're starting your activity after you get up; if you're eating breakfast prior to your activity... what and how much you're eating and the time between eating and the activity.
