TV dinners don't have the nutrition that cooking real food has. - Sorry, I don't know that you eat TV dinners, it's just that so many people do because it's so convenient. If you eat fast food, try to stay away from the bread. The bread is a simple carb that will make you sleepy and fatigued about a half hour after you eat it. Snack on nuts and fruits for energy.
Avatar f tn I understand a few conditions may occur despite what you do. However, most are not. Our society is so used to eating fast, cheap, & easy. When you shop at the grocery store, limit your picking up ANYTHING in a box. You're not eating healthy just because you cook it at home. HamburgerHelper, CompleteMeals, boxed TacoDinners or pretty much anything from a box is crap you shouldn't eat. Shop the perimeter of the store for the majority of your food. Frozen veggies are great, too.

I've seen the place and it surprized me on how nice it was. I don't know if I'm posting this correctly; I don't do blogs. As for me, I'm eating a lot of canned food and tv dinners.
Business woman3 Don’t skip dinners (I am not saying present you are skipping dinners), instead of starving and skipping dinners you can consume small portions in your dinner. By taking small portions we are preventing weight gain and health isuues.

I'm having a difficult time planning healthy lunches and dinners that have some variety (I can only eat so much grilled chicken). This is my first pregnancy and I am only six weeks along. I'm worrying I am not eating as healthy as I should be. I'm constantly hungry and looking for some good recommendations.

I typically eat my dinners while watching TV and during these times I cannot stay awake. I literally fall dead asleep minutes after finishing my last bite. This will typically go on for a few days. After that I go back to normal where I don't feel the intense urge to sleep after I eat. I'd say on any given year I might go through this phase maybe 3 times/year if I had to guess.
Avatar f tn I have the same issue! I haven't been taking anything to help the constipation because it ends up switching to diarrhea then back again. I prepare my meals, no tv dinners, frozen pizzas, etc, and limit my dairy intake since I can't handle a lot of lactose. I eat healthy already so I'm at a loss as to what to do too. Suggestions would be great!

Avatar f tn You've probably heard this before but. . . . eating right is one thing. There's a lot of sodium in foods, especially prepared foods like canned soups, TV dinners, etc. So even if you aren't using the salt shaker, you're probably getting way more sodium than you need each day and don't realize it. The other things are being active. You don't have to go jogging but a walk each day is a good start. And then there's the weight. That's a big one.

Avatar m tn I am sorry that you have been in pain for so long! What is your diet like? Are you eating too many TV dinners? Mac and cheese? Processed foods contain MSG which after time can not only make one ill, some get heavy. Are you drinking diet sodas? Aspartame is a rat poison. it can cause symptoms of M.S. and other diseases. If you crave a sweet drink, try lemonade or limeade instead. The fizzy stuff is simply not good for us. Do you take probiotics?
Avatar f tn I'm hungry almost every hour!!! I snack on saltine crackers, fruits, veggies, toast, fruited cereal and if I'm really hungry I'll have a bowl of cereal or soup. Lately though I've been eating two breakfasts, two lunches, and two dinners. That has been helping a lot!! Good luck!!!
Avatar n tn My daughter is just 5 and has been a fussy eater for a while - she has been having sandwiches at school until recently when she herself decided she wanted dinners instead. However after about 10 days of school dinners she has become very anxious each morning about school and feigning illness etc, she can however be turned around mood wise into happily going to school but at lunchtime starts crying when going to the dinner hall.
Avatar n tn to taste like. The key is to keep up the intake of calories at this point. Found good quality tv dinners and meal replacement shakes (eg Ensure) could fill the gap. My husband left chocolate all over the house to entice me to eat - not good nutrition, but again, at this stage, it's more important to keep the calories up. Good luck.

Avatar f tn I am eating bananas oranges yorgurt healthy choice tv dinners. I took n immodium pill. Dont seem to work alot for that area. The atarax or whatever, i found some old muscle relaxers patches from a pm doc . They r exp oce 2011 but i used it on my lower back n its working. I am also taking some prenatal vit i had left over. But i actually feel somewhat ok. If i lay in bed my back seems to hurt more n i get restless. Should i be worried that day 4 n 5 r going to b a nightmare?

That's when TV dinners, then fast food came into the picture, and then sitting the kids in front of the TV for entertainment because both parents were tired. The more materialistic the "family " got, the more the parents worked and kids had babysitters like TV , computer games and the Internet and no time to cook healthy family meals. People have also, over the years reduced the amount of kids they'd have.
