I am waiting on delivery of Trippet Green Beef Tripe ( cans ) and Grizzly Salmon Oil Supplement/pump bottle. My dearest went to THE GREEN GROCER, organic food store and picked up KENAI WILD ALASKAN SALMON OIL, fluid. I cringed as it says "great citrus taste"and rosemary extract. I do not plan on giving this to Darbie, but I will use myself. I love the thoughtfulness, but not all salmon oils are made the same?! I hope this canned Trippet/Tripe is suitable for our needs.

Oh, I forgot to say, I'm loosely following the Rosemary Conley hip & thigh diet - so I'm not eating anything fatty (no chocolate, biscuits, crisps, fried foods, cake, hard or high-fat cheese, etc etc). But in fact, the stomach can do its job only if the food has been well chewed first. Remember that vegetables, especially in their raw form, are very difficult to digest if they are not mechanically broken down first. This is because plant cells are coated with an indigestible layer called a cellulose cell wall. If this protective sheath is not broken, especially with raw vegetables, the rich nutrients inside will merely pass through the GI tract unabsorbed.
I also don't eat garlic or onions or anything else strong in this kind of flavor, nor anything spicy, these things hurt my stomach. I've been struggling to find recipes and have been eating the same meals every day which becomes BORING. Breakfast: 2 seasoned eggs, kale, an apple, and 100% fruit juice (7g of sugar per 8oz - 100% juice, so I have about 4 oz & dilute with water). Snacks: Cashews and other acceptable nuts & sometimes a salad if not with dinner.

I spent 5 years (94-99) as a strict vegetarian / vegan, and have been eating mostly Lacto/Ovo with some poultry and seafood since 1998. I have been anemic my whole life. Could this strong, bizarre craving have something to do with my mineral deficiency, and can anyone suggest a possible regimen that may help it? Thank you very much...
I really wanted to switch my cat to raw/cooked meat, fish, chicken with vitamins and minerals and a bit of fiber but right when I was about to try he bled the night before and so I decided it was about time for me to take him to the vet. The vet wants me to keep administering Z/D. I have to say, since I started feeding him this food, together with the antibiotics and prednizone, I have not seen more blood at all. So, hopefully, this means my cat is actually responding well to the treatment.

It is quite frustrating to deal with and nobody seems to understand. Some people even take it as rude when I don't eat. I guess I could live with the eating snacky stuff throughout the day thing, but my biggest concern is me being sick to my stomach most of the time. I feel sick every morning. The sickness usually tapers off by the afternoon. Some people I've talked to said to try to eat breakfast, since I never do/can. I've tried to force myself, but it jsut seems to make matters worse.
