I have the exact same symptoms. Within a half hour of eating I get this weird dizziness/drunk feeling, nausea and sometimes headaches. I was tested for Celiac disease because my symptoms matched almost perfectly--came back negative. The only test that has come back positive was mild gastritis and acid reflux via endoscopy. I was prescribed Pariet for that and thought maybe that was the cause so I quit taking them for a while but symptoms continued. My dr. is puzzled as to what it could be.
Try chewing on a piece of raw ginger root. Ginger ale and saltine crackers help too. Try to keep water in your system so you don't dehydrate. Motherhood maternity has these things called preggy drops that help with nausea, they are like jolly ranchers. And If you have a walgreens or cvs pharmacy around look into getting pedialyte popsicles.
You might have to switch around a bit to find one that really helps. Also, try some ginger; if you can buy some raw ginger root, try steeping a tea from it, or adding some to a cup of green tea, perhaps; this helps some folks all by itself.

I believe that both can be bought at health food stores in capsule form, but we just use the raw spices and Leslee buys ginger root and boils it up for her tea. She has been doing so well now for 6 months, ever since the flare up of the Doxil side effects, that she will change nothing in her diet. She is on a diet now to lose that chemo weight, the lost pounds are definitly helping her joint pain. Counts coming down, lesions getting smaller, and feeling just great.
I can't imagine chewing on ginger root...but the ginger tea helps me quite a bit.....and u do need to modify diet and lifestyle in order to help the meds.

If Adam and Eve were to look at it and not be able to say what it was I quit eating it (even ground up, otherwise healthy foods)... Whole foods (well, I mean, I did chop them), simply cooked. I then switched from other sugars (including honey) to raw agave and palm (coconut) sugar (other sugars make me CRAVE sweets). I've never used artificial sweeteners. I just never trusted them. wyntre ps - Every time I have to take additional med, bactrim, ad's, sinus stuff, the nausea gets worse so I haveta agree with beamish, not about the mj only coz I can't take smoke of any kind, but that extra meds often make everything worse. I've tried ginger, too and it does offer some relief. I use ginger tea, raw ginger and crystallized ginger.

Thanks all for the tips. I do drink ginger tea and found an awesome ginger root beer. I have ginger candy in my purse too. It worked the first few weeks n now I'm just hit hard. Found some Ritz crackers that are low sodium and have snacked all day. What a relief. I had phenergan suppositories left from biopsy n tried them the last 2 nights n couldn't sleep. Felt like ants were biting me. Dr. is gonna call in the Zofran, I just missed her call this afternoon. Happy bout the crackers.
