Hi Karla! My dog Kobie is a 4 y/o mutt…..pound said he was Pit Bull and Lab but I think he’s Pit Bull and whatever walked by. I will give you a little history on him which might help you understand his situation a little better. Kobie had a rough start in life. He was dropped off at the pound with his siblings, covered in fleas and had ticks imbedded in his skin. I adopted him literally minutes before he was to be euthanized (all his siblings had been put down at that point).
I can be eating soft or hard foods, doesn't matter. I can hold my head still or look down at my plate and it doesn't matter. I don't feel it any other time at all, only when I chew something. I don't have any other symptoms. I'm not on any type of medications. I had a stapedectomy 2 years ago to correct hearing in my right ear.
I am allergic to chicken eggs but not chicken. Now I can eat duck eggs (but they taste like **** so I don't) But to your question about if you are more prone, no you are not, it just kind of ended up that way. And you may be allergic to all poultry dust, but not thier meat. Oh and 48 hrs should be enough to test wether or not you have a food allergy, but again it almost always comes with a pain in the gut or indigestion, diearrea somthing on that note.
I feed my toddler a scrambled egg at least every other day so i was eating eggs quite routinely... Its just not the same cooked well done... Also i wish i had one last drink of arborn mist...i havent had it in over a year but i had decided if this cycle i wasnt prego then i was gonna buy a bottle lol last pregnancy my planned meal for after was a med rare steak with greek pasta salad with extra feta and a beer and clam!
I have researched and found that some food intolerances for cats are EGGS, FISH, Chicken, BEEF, GRAINS. The Natural Balance Duck does not have grains, no eggs, no chicken, no beef, no fish... I am hoping that this might be an allergy of sorts(or food intolerance) to a specific food that has been in his past cat food and not something like IBD... IBD is not one that is simple to DX since it takes a biopsy and I don't really want to put him through that.. Allergies??
Start with the basics - a range of different raw meaty bones, or preferably whole items, such as chicken, quail, fish, eggs. For the majority of raw feeders - chicken is the base of the majority of their dogs meals. However, if chicken is not available readily, use what is available locally - raw meaty - lamb, beef, venison, duck, rabbit, kangaroo, pig, raw whole fish. You get the picture. Where possible you want to avoid using items that have been raised inappropriately.
Although it is a quality item, raw duck contains about 80% water. After cooking, most of that moisture is lost, reducing the meat content to just a fraction of its original weight. After processing, this item would probably account for a smaller part of the total content of the finished product. The fourth ingredient is potato protein, the dry residue remaining after removing the starchy part of a potato.
She also is up to date on all her vaccinations. She's been eating raw since I have had her (4 months) and I always get her meat fresh and rinse it thoroughly. I just remember someone telling me once that huskies can be prone to kidney problems and liver problems (I don't know if that's true) but I got real worried. ause she'll drink the dew of the grass, puddles on lawn chairs, anywhere she finds moisture. So for the past few months we have been able to keep her from doing that.

So, if your antibodies weren't elevated, it's not conclusive, but if it doesn't walk like a duck and doesn't quack like a duck, etc., it probably isn't a duck. Besides constipation, what other G/I issues were you having? I was just thinking that an U/S would give you a better idea if the tingling in your neck was thyroid related. Has the doctor palpated your thyroid, and did he comment at all on size or whether or not he felt nodules (very common)?
Almost six months later, he still devours the food (He NEVER has been so good about eating as with this particular brand/flavor - sweet potato and duck.) He's lost the 3 extra pounds he was carrying and his muscle tone looks wonderful. And as I said, his coat actually looks really nice and shiny. But he still has dandruff, and some days it's only a few flakes, but some days it's really, really bad! He NEVER scratches.
I also feed raw chicken and eggs (cooked and raw) to my six dogs each week. I am fortunate that three are 11 years old and are doing excellent!
It's not so much the protein that is the problem, rather that a more digestible form of protein is needed. Scrambled eggs (with about 1/2 the yolk), yogurt, dark poultry meat and rice are some good options. You'll probably want to add a low or no-phosphorus vitamin supplement as well whether you use a commercial prescription diet or make your own food. Ultimately, nausea and vomiting will take over your dog's daily life.
and you are hurting your body eating the junk that you consume on a regular basis. Eating clean means ONLY eating grilled chicken (NOT FRIED), fish (NOT FRIED), all vegetables and the supplements that I will list below... and the occasional grass-fed beef. NOTHING ELSE. Drink water and ONLY water with every meal and between meals. Drink 8 LARGE glasses a day, at least.
In truth, I never really felt that I had classic traditional heartburn or had problems eating certain foods, such as I could eat spicy foods and not have much change in my symptoms. However, in the past year I have developed additional painful symptoms: Alternating pain between my right chest muscle and right under my right rib, like a throbbing or someone grabbing me under the rib - this initially started off as pain in my right upper back, but now it's rare to have the pain in the back.
Lots of green veggies all last week too in anticipation for starting the cleanse. I have been reading about eating more raw fresh veggies and fruits as helpful with digestive enzymes that are often lacking in processed foods and fast food, etc. I forgot where I read it now, but I saw information regarding having a blocked bile duct in the liver that can contribute/cause digestive problems.
When she completely stops eating the Renal diet, I will start feeding her the scrambled eggs, dark meat poultry etc. But for now, I will stick with what she is supposed to be on. Also, her breath is horrific. Last Saturday, she didn't want to get out of bed at all. She stayed there for 9 hours straight. I was sick with worry. But she has since rallied. I guess that is the way it is going to be. I cannot get sub Q fluids into her.
*HI there, hope ya'll are having fun. My mom has been telling me about all of you and she says you're all very nice. Most importantly she's been saying you want to send me food. Is that true? I love food, but my mom doesn't let me eat everything I want. She says I must eat that bad food she got at the vet and she has also been giving me a lot of things that taste very bad. I would like for you to convince her that I want my treats back and also my whipped cream, which I ask for every day.
I saw something on the discovery channel on it, and there were people in africa that had the same thing, and theirs was from extreme malnourishment. So when I start eating regularly, they go away, and don't come back again until my eating schedule is off again. Like now. I'll start eating regularly again, and let everyone concerned know if they go away or not.
Most recently I've noticed that I get egg burps immediately after eating eggs. I also have heartburn whenever I eat goat cheese and I believe I have a sensitivity to dairy. Yesterday was Easter - hard boiled eggs, deviled eggs - burps, pain. My burps got worse all through the day. As the day progressed the burps tasted less like their source (deviled eggs with onion - bad enough) and became decidedly more foul. By the time I was desperately ready to sleep it was all but lost to me.
Recently my gastroparesis/GERD (non diabetic) is worse. I get totally full from eating 1/2 banana even. I'm 41. Should I ask my gastro guy about domperidone (? sp) in that does it help this? Every time I eat anything, I end up burping it back up. This is raising havoc on my esophagus and emotions. I am now living on gatorade and vanilla yogurt, which also leaves me feeling full. I take prilosec 20 mg in the morning, Axid in the evening. Nothing seems to help.
It sounds like you have done a lot to control or get rid of the hives, but I don't hear anything about finding the cause of the hives. Hives are generally caused by something you are eating. You can see an allergist to get tested, or you can remove one food or food group out of the diet for at least 2 weeks and see if that helps get rid of the hives. A food group in this instance means "wheat", "rice" or "oats" products.
try eating fish eggs. salmon eggs seem to work best for me and i stumbled across this by accident. we went out for sushi one night and i ended up getting about 5 orders of salmon eggs or IKURA in japanese... that's 2 pieces of sushi per serving. that night i was amazed how comfortable i was in bed. no feeling of 'bugs' or tingling while stumbling around bed. i slept like a baby! first i thought it might have been a b 12 deficiency but i tried eating steak and eggs consistently which didnt work.
Now, if that's true, are they not small enough to enter your pours? How small must their eggs be? The eggs, the parasite, it's using your body as it's host. 90% of them in your environment are "hatched" from your body. When you move several times and get rid of everything this quickly become obvious. For me, it's even clearer because I can feel them crawling IN me.
Usually I feel worse during the winter. Nowdays I feel much better bcos I almost quit eating meat and eating outside. Just vegeterian and no processed food.
You'd be amazed at the results it can have as it can be used to stimulate the adrenal gland which releases cortisole. Also try eating lots of salad, fruit and raw veg as these are all cooling foods. Im training to be a reflexologist at the mo and my tutor (who is an amazing woman) has a theory that things which irritate/stress you emotionally can irritate/stress you physically. Maybe look at what irritates irritates you in your life and try to relax about it. Plenty of deep breathing etc.
She has lost some weight and her hands and feet are no longer swelled or hurt, since she is only eating salads and proteins, baked potato are fine as well. She feels 100% better. I think it's worth a try. Good luck to all of you.
If you have pain don't suffer, take something for it. Make sure that you are eating healthy high fibre to keep you regular and it will help with your peirods as well.
