905911 tn?1242378846 Welcome and thanks for posting. I'm not real "up" on the conversion of kilos to pounds, but I think a kilo is equal to slightly over 2 pounds. If I'm correct, that means that you want to lose over 10 pounds in 15 days............. That's ALMOST 1 pound/day. Sorry, honey, I don't know of ANY eating/exercise plan that will allow you to lose THAT much weight in a healthy manner.
Avatar f tn Losing weight isn't about silly ideas or having it fall off fast. You probably didn't gain it fast, so you can't expect to lose it fast either. 15 lbs is too much to expect to lose safely in one month, but you can get started and lose as much as possible. The 3 areas that are the most important for weight loss, seem to be the 3 areas in which you're the least flexible. Those are diet, exercise and sleep.

I was annerexic, and the way they had me recover after I left the hostipal was to eat whatever and follow my cravings. So basically they taught me terrible eating habits that I now can't shake off. I really don't want to relapse but I'm very unhappy with my weight right now and want to lose weight in a healthy way.
1099201 tn?1338180918 I started on this veggie/fruit challenge at work to see if you're actually eating enough veggies and fruits as required and in the four weeks I participate, I learned that I wasn't eating enough of my veggies. I think that it would be good to have a food journal or something to keep track of what you're eating. Maybe not everyday but it does help to give you a picture of what you eat. So far I've lost 5 - 6 pounds.
Avatar f tn 8 kg is 17.6 pounds and that's a pretty hefty amount to lose in only a month. You'd have to lose more than 4 pounds/week, which means cutting calories too low to keep it healthy. Far better to implement a healthy eating and exercise plan that takes longer to lose, but will bring actual lifestyle changes, so you can keep the weight off, and won't have to worry next year.

Avatar f tn First thing is please stop worrying and keep a long term goal. Keep 10-15 pounds target for initial couple of months and to lose 100 pounds keep a target of 1 year. You have to stay focused on your long term goal and you have to cut down all junk food, fast food, desserts and prepare a customized diet chart for yourself with the help of a dietician. Be very sincere and be stern to achieve your goal.

179530 tn?1368936603 I agree, 15 pounds at 16 weeks is not out of the range of normal. Try not to worry about how *much you're eating, but *what you are eating. You can probably have as much fruit and veggies as you want! ; ) With my first pregnancy (I am preggo with #4), I had gained over 20 pounds by 16 weeks, although I definitely was not eating the right things. This time, I am trying to do a lot better, eating healthy, and not worrrying about the # on the scale.
Avatar n tn I am along the same line as you guys. I am 21 and i want to lose 15 more pounds. The first thing i did was completley STOP any and all caffeine intake, cokes, teas, you name it and i dont drink it. It is hard at first but after you get use to it you feel so much better. All i drink is water, gatorade and the occasional capri sun. I have dropped 12 pounds in the past two weeks, mainly from that. I do watch what i eat too, if am craving sweets i eat some fruit or yogurt.
Avatar f tn I think you can lose 12-15 pounds in 6 weeks. Each pound is approximately 1600 calories so to lose 2 pounds a week you need to reduce 3200 calories in a week. So you need a plan that will cut about 450 calories a day. The most effective way is to change what you eat but exercise can help as well. I would plan on a little exercise everyday to burn 100-150 calories, and changing your diet to cut 300-350 calories. You can do it.
