Avatar f tn There are very tasty and healthy foods at Vietnamese, Thai, and Japanese (sushi is great) restaurants. Try different yogurts - I have found that the regular (not the diet) Activia yogurt tastes like ice cream but is still very good for you. Low fat frozen yogurt can be nice too. Try signing up for a cooking class or invest in a cookbook for healthy food and experiment. Good luck!

Avatar n tn Look up "the full plate diet" it's really NOT a diet, but healthy eating. That's what I do, all it is, is a high fiber diet eating lots of whole grains (brown rice, wheat bread, oatmeal) fruits, vegetables and water.

I've had a little of the forbidden cheese because I've only seen pasteurized products sold in the U.S. And I cut out raw bean sprouts (and I love Vietnamese and Thai food!). I'm close to being due so I'm just kind of used to it now. I'm going straight for brunch with oysters, mimosas, and eggs benedict when I'm no longer prego.

All I crave is cherry poptarts and sweets so I limit myself but it still is all high calorie and does nothing for you. I will tell you I gained weight more quickly when I started eating junk again but total i have gained 19lbs.
Avatar f tn The key is to exercise enough to burn the amount of calories you are eating, or at least a good portion of them. For example, if you are eating 1400 calories per day, you should be exercising enough to burn at least 500 in order to start seeing a difference. Hope this helps.
959034 tn?1253671476 taking just a couple of bites of a healthy food is better than not eating at all. I find eating a larger breakfast does best for me - but that's not true for everyone. If I eat a large, healthy breakfast, I'm less hungry for other meals AND I have the advantage of using up the calories throughout the day............ I don't know what time you get up, go to bed or what your schedule during the day is.
