Avatar f tn I am somewhat active at work, and I do really well with my healthy eating during the day, but when I get home from work all I want to do is sit. And eat. It seems like all my self control goes out the window. When I do make a healthy meal I have trouble controlling my portions. Any suggestions on how to combat this?
Avatar m tn One challenge people have when trying to eat right is that they can concentrate so much on what they are eating that they focus less on how much. Portion control is key. Eating lots of healthy food unfortunately can result in weight gain in the long term. I might suggest that your family member keep a very detailed food diary for a week or two, including portions, to get a better sense of quantity in addition to quality! Best of luck!
Avatar f tn Hi guys I'm 18 weeks 5 days with my first baby. I started out at 136. By my next appointment I had gained 3 pounds (in 4 weeks). I was also having bad morning sickness and nausea so I knew I wouldn't gain much. THEN my next appointment I had gained 10 pounds!! I know that when the nausea subsided I started to eat anything I wanted lol. Bad I know. Any one else struggling with eating healthy?! Any tips would be appreciated I'm stressing out about this weight gain!
Avatar f tn So my plan is to start eating small portions 5 times a day and cooking healthy food. So far and I have manage to loose 3 pounds... should I continue to be doing the same thing? Do I need to cut all carbs??? Any advise???
Avatar f tn its completely normal your going to keep eating smaller portions but your supposed to eat temp more often (6 times a day) bc you eat such little portions.
Avatar f tn It happens when you're that far along bc you don't have much room for food..once your baby drops you'll find it easier to eat and breath!

Avatar f tn 5 weeks and eating like its nothing i can't seem to get enough when i eat its like i've missed something and has to go searching for something else ugh i hate it on top of that i feel so anxious but for what i don't know
Avatar f tn You need to eat smaller portions....over long period of times. Now that the uterus is above the belly button your stomach is pushed up and has very little to expand...so when you over eat the stomach has no room to expand and makes you sick! Plus they say with every pregnancy your uterus get bigger and it expands faster so this may also cause your stomach to be smooshed even closer to the other organs! If it continues after you try smaller portions I would contact your doctor!
Avatar n tn It might help you lose weight, depending on how small the portions are, but it's not healthy... You aren't eating anything that has protein, at all and what you're eating has very few vitamins/minerals, like B-12, calcium, etc. You need to add some type of meat, dairy, eggs, beans, legumes or something with protein and since vitamin B-12 only comes from animal products you either need to supplement or add some of those animal products to your diet.
Avatar f tn How are everyone's eating habits... I struggle to avoid some things..

Avatar f tn s a bit harder because you have to trust her to regulate the eating. maybe divide the lunch up into smaller looking portions (IE if youre giving her a sandwhich, cut it into small squares or pieces so that they look small) and give her (small) healthy snacks to eat throughout the day. I really hope this helps.

Business woman2 My advice on these products would be to use them as a starting block for 2-3 weeks to get you going, after that HEALTHY eating of a varied diet, smaller portions, regular exercise should give you results x
