Avatar f tn I've had an eating disorder for about 5 years. Almost 3 years ago I went inpatient for help. Now I'm within 2 lbs of when I was admitted the first time and I don't know how to ask for help or if I even should ask for help. Asking for help would mean I would have to skip this semester of college and I really don't wanna do that. But if I don't ask for help I'm not sure I'd stay medically stable through May and then I might have to medically withdraw due to Anorexia.

973741 tn?1342342773 I am often saddened by the confusion regarding different diagnosis that exist. Sensory Integration disorder is a diagnosis that can be all by itself. OR, it can be a second diagnosis on top of something like Aspergers, autism, or add/adhd. The symptoms of sensory are separate from those diagnosis and it is unfortunate the lack of education regarding this. I believe it causes kids to not receive the targeted help that will be of most benefit to them in the long run.

Avatar f tn Being fearful of gaining weight and continually working to keep your weight at an unnatural low is indeed the sign you may have an eating disorder.
