535822 tn?1443976780 re crazy to try to force all of us to be vegetarian. Not everyone can be a vegetarian. People with blood type O, for example, will get terribly sick if they are forced to be vegetarian because this blood type simply must have meat. As blood type O is extremely sensitive to high glycemic foods, then going very low on carbohydrates actually works for people with blood type O. This won't work so well with blood type A.
Avatar f tn I have type O blood and I don't eat as good as I could and I don't get manic, although I wasn't diagnosed with bipolar disorder in the end, but they want to check for mania in all psychotic disorders in the future if wanted changes to the DSM are left alone and I have a psychotic disorder. I get hyper sometimes sure when I don't feel particularly crappy physically but so do my other family members who don't have bipolar disorder.
Tbd Are you vegetarian for any personal reason? Would you consider including other protein sources such as those from whey protein, or eggs? Maybe you could also look into a protein supplement to include with your regular meal, in a shake for example. Fruits are high in sugar. I would be looking into eating a low carb and/or ketogenic diet. It is possible to do this even if you are vegetarian, but will need quite a lot of work on food preparations and research.
Avatar m tn It is important to eat the right combination of foods so you have the proper proteins and nutrients for your body too. Eat non-meat sources (soy products, nuts), low fat vegetarian combinations (rice & beans, pasta & beans, soy cheese & pasta, salads with nuts & seeds), substitute dairy products (low fat soy milk/soy yogurt), use plant oils, non trans-fat margarines, and eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. Eat daily high fiber breads and cereals (oatmeal).
1204700 tn?1271948852 I was wondering the same thing since your blood is separated from the baby so it shouldn't be an issue what your blood type is unless your rh negative.
Avatar f tn ) ut im conserned on the fact that i have O- blood type and My OBGYN did say that on the 2nd time expecting it was more risking... Does any one know more info about this? I realldy didnt get much just the part that my body attacks the baby... So HELP!
Avatar f tn Reason why, the only reason why having o- blood type is a problem is if your baby has a different blood type then you and for some reason your blood is mixed during pregnancy then your body will not recognize it and try to fight it off like an infection. It will create antibodies but those antibodies only happen in second, third, or any other pregnancy in the future.Your body won't make them during your first.
Avatar f tn So I had been a vegetarian for 8 years before becoming pregnant. About five months into it my doctor said my iron levels were too low because I didn't absorb the iron from the vitamin correctly. So to make sure my baby was safe she recommended I eat at least one type of animal protein. She recommended fish since I would also lack omega vitamins without it. So I started eating fish, in moderation of course to avoid mercury.
Avatar f tn I had it before and will need it again with this little one. I'm not gonna lie the shot hurt a lot lol. Other than that your baby will be fine.
Avatar f tn You mean Rh negative. This means your Blood doesn't contain the Rhythm protein. It has nothing, absolutely nothing to do with your Blood type.
6231275 tn?1379901818 To me losing weight on the vegetarian diet is easy if you have the right mind set and your willing to change! first off I call this the quarter, quarter, half rule. this means when you eat make half the plate greens(any), a quarter a carb(potato, corn, etc), and then the last quarter a protein. I in no way would recommend anything like soy products for various reasons. Some examples of veggie protein are beans(13.4g), seitan(21g), or you could buy a veggie supplement/protein drink.
Avatar f tn They only give you O type blood if they have to because its a neutral blood type and your body wont reject it.
Avatar f tn it's just a shot. You'll get one if you start to bleed at all, or at 28wks or so, and then after birthing your baby. essentially, it stops the baby's blood from mixing with yours. Because if that happens and the baby's blood type is different, your body will think it's a foreign object, and fight off the baby as if it is an infection and you'll miscarry. The shot stops it, and makes your body think that any blood it detects, is the same type as you.
Avatar f tn Okay so my blood type is o-negative , I'll be 20 weeks tomorrow and everybody has been telling me that I'm suppose to get a shot twice so that my blood doesn't fight off the babies blood if he has a different type. Has anyone else ever had this problem? Should I call my Dr and ask?
Avatar n tn If you are a vegetarian for animal-cruelty reasons, add eggs and cheese to your diet. I was a vegetarian for a long time but I ate fish and poultry when I was pregnant.
Avatar f tn I'm O- and hubby is A+, so I'm in the same boat. I'd recommend having your partner's blood type tested. Your dr can order it so insurance will pay for it, and if he has a negative blood type, it'll be cheaper than gettig the shot.
Avatar m tn Olive, coconut and nut oils can be good. Use your blood sugar meter to monitor the effects of various foods on your blood sugar and then you can use this to adjust your diet.
Avatar n tn I have negative blood type and had several pregnancies that I was fine with- one miscarriage and then one other pregnancy after that- he's four months old now. When you have RH negative you will need to get a shot for each pregnancy and after a baby is born, they test their blood type, if they are positive, they give you another shot.
538330 tn?1232023960 It can also be that one of your parents is O-positive and the other is negative. For example, if your mother is O-positive and your father is A-negative, than you can be O-positive, O-negative, A-positive or A-negative. So you can get the type ( O, A, B, or AB) from one parent and the Rh factor (positive or negative) from the other parent. It is also possible to have the exact same blood type as one of your parents.
Avatar f tn If your body senses babies blood and they have a positive blood type your body will try to get rid off the foreign body, the shot prevents this from happening. You and baby are fine now just be careful and they usually give the shot at 28 weeks. Luckily both my husband and I are positive. My mom was negative so she had to go through this with me.
Avatar n tn A 100% vegan diet involves a lot of calculation and knowledge about your daily intake and what you need etc, which is a pain for everyday living, too. The best diet is a balanced vegetarian diet, which should also be low on carbs in general, and rich in vegetable and nut oils. Humans are omnivores, and even if we wish to be, we are no herbivores.
Avatar n tn vitamin d deficiency vegetarian with o blood type what are the home remedies vitamin d level is 10n/ml
Avatar f tn I have O- blood and I have just found out that I am expecting. My mum suffered various miscarriages due to this reason as her body rejected the baby. I'm scared incase I do the same as it's just nature. What can I do to prevent this? Someone please help.
Avatar f tn First thing to consider is that while being a vegetarian is great for some it isn't for others, so watch how you feel. Being diabetic and going vegetarian can be tricky, because you have to avoid the simple carbs and make sure you get your good protein.
