Hello, just wanted to know how the pregnancy went for some of you that may be 40 or over such as myself. The doctor has warned me of possible pre-clampsia and possible premature labor but I wanted to hear some of your stories and your experiences of those of you that have gone through it and lived it. And if possible, any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated!

Had my second IUI on July 3 and thought I would share my early pregnancy symptoms so far and hope others will as well. I checked other blogs out there and found the responses to be incredibly helpful, here goes: 1dpiui Started vacation today! Hopefully relaxation will help. Had lots of cramps and bloating. At end of day was very bloated, went for a walk and it was uncomfortable very bloated. Felt like I had to pee all the time. Went to bed, laid down for a while and felt a little better.

I know obviously not everyone experiences symptoms so early on but I'm about 9dpo and I'm convinced I'm pregnant. I've done some pregnancy tests and they're obviously a big fat negative as it's so early on. I've been experiencing some unusual symptoms to me over the past week.

I had no symptoms of pregnancy till 12 weeks and then threw up over n over every day till 25weeks just be blessed that you have none...

its a bit to early to get so many symptoms of pregnancy. Remember this is a mind over matter thing cause we want to get pregnant sooooo bad! I might add that NO pregnancy are the same... i was 14 days late and still wasnt pregnant. If u as a woman feel that something is up, plz do take a HPT or get some blood work done. Can you have symptoms of pregnancy as early a week before you are due to start your period? If so what coukd the signs be???

Only a doctor can tell you what test you will need to test for infertility. Symptoms can happen for a number of reasons. Pregnancy being only one of them. If you are having symptoms of pregnancy a positive would have shown up by now. It takes a heathly couple about a year to conceive. And in no way is this offensive, but given your maternal age you might have a little difficulty concieving faster than a woman in her early 30's.

I was induced at 38 and 39 weeks a midwife will be a little more willing to do it early drs want to wait. My last I went over so I could deliver at birthing center, I was almost 42 weeks.I went on diet when I knew I was going over so she was only almost 9lbs. I think some women have there first ones sooner and after that their bodies are more adjusted to pregnancy and they can hold baby longer.

Every pregnancy is different. Sounds like its not normal for you compared to your first 2 but every child has its own agenda. Isn't it always the 3rd child who is the rebel of the family? ;) that's what I heard.

From the reading I've done, it seems like the IVF success rate for women over 40 is low. I just finished Lupron and I'm starting the stimulation phase. Can anyone over 40 share some success with IVF?
