ear and throat pain treatment

So I woke up this morning and my left ear was hurting very badly and when I swallowed, my ear and throat, which I had these symptoms before. But now it's in both ears and I'm starting to get a little concerned. Is there anything I can do so my throat and ears don't feel so bad? Answer soon!!!

In my opinion you are suffering from acute tonsillitis (left tonsil) and inflamed tonsil is creating a problem in left ear. Visit ENT doctor and get the proper antibiotic treatment and anti inflammatory alongwith painkiller. Do mouthwash three times a day.

ve had a lot of drainage, aches around my eye area and in cheek/ nose area, swollen/ feeling as if somthing is stuck in my throat, pain in one ear or both, sharp pains down throat usaully same side as the ear, heartburn,, stomach pain at the top of the stmoach and bloating. Is this a sinus infection or somthing else?

I suspected a neurological issue but after a week, the tingling has subsided and I just have a sore throat and ear pain. Weird! I have also had some facial pain/sensitivity, have you?

It makes my TN start with pain in front of my ear to my top and bottom teeth and into my temple and nose. The pain is sharp, stabbing and comes and goes with burning in between episodes. I have been using cepecol lozenges and throat spray which help but only for a little while. It seems if I take cepecol I can stop a full blown attack. I have been to the ER three times since the start of July and was given medicine for TN and Strep.

I m having ear pain and sore throat and also have sore mouth, my tounge, upper area of mouth and also hav pain behind the ears...been like this for a week now. I m worried as I had a pap smear wich came back with hpv and ascus and I also hav large fibroids wich I m getting treatment for. My great worry now is that is this sore throat related to hpv as hpv can also cause head and neck cancer. I will be glad if someone can help me on it.

I took AZITHRAL 250 for throat pain and CEFTAS CV 500 for ear pain. At times I am having pain in collarbone. I brush my teeth at least four times a day and exert too much for getting the flum out of the throat. Will it be the reason for such pains.

i have had experience with sore throat but in my case it was infection on my tonsils (pus) .I had them removed 2 years ago after a really bad episode when my jaw was stiffed that I couldn't open my mouth more than 1 cm and had extreme pain on my right side of the throat ,ear and maxilar...and only the third dr taht saw me could actualy spotted what was wrong - an abces behind the right tonsil.

Have you seen an ENT Specialist or an ENT/Allergist Specialist? Have you tried an antihistamine in combination with a decongestant?

t even relieve the pain. I have been on all types of pain killers, and other medications like nasal sprays and ear drops which haven't help. I can't sleep, my throat is in constant pain as well. Right now as I type I am trying to relax because my head can't take it anymore. I asked my doctor if I can get another MRI or CT Scan and all she says is NO. The one in February is good enough. I changed doctors and is like i'm invisible or none of them listen/understand me.

Yes I did.....he put me on Nexum for possible reflux damage. I have mild throat burning, stopped ears and constant ringing in my left ear. Ringing has been going on for about 3 weeks now and does not go away. Throat pain stays pretty much the same, with occasional mouth, tongue and throat burn. I had pressure and fluid in my right ear and I had the ear drained then one month later the ear developed pressure without pain. t know what the first medication was, shortly after the treatment began he developed sudden burning pain, first in his right eye which got better by putting something cold over it, the burning pain then traveled to his left ear and shortly after was all over his head and face, and then in his throat, they have been treating him with pain meds, which causes him to sleep but the burning and pain are still there.

However, by Friday night, the pain in my throat had moved up into my ear. The pain is really sharp and was really bad today and yesterday, especially at night when I'm trying to go to sleep. Oddly enough, during a visit to an Ear/Nose/Throat specialist, I was told to take prilosec, once in the morning and again at bedtime. This helps calm the effects of allergy drainage, which can upset the stomach and cause a sore throat. The other thing I do is take 1200 mg. guaifenesin (Mucinex or generic), once in the morning and again at bedtime. This thins mucus so that it *will* drain, also allowing the throat more moisture.

A few days ago, on Tuesday I felt my left side of throat hurt when swallowing and yawning and the pain kind of went all the way from the side of my throat to my left ear, I then took medications and put on some gels and the throat part of it fixed, now my left ear just really hurts from the inside when swallowing, yawning and a little bit when talking. Over the last 3 weeks I've been experiencing a "lump" like feeling in my throat, slight hoarseness, pain in my ears, and most recently pain on my trachea. I've been on 2 different Antibiotics, Prednisone, and Prilosec since these symptoms appeared. The Prednisone worked wonders but, 2 days after I finished it, the symptoms returned. I have this awlful pain that keeps occuring on one the left side of my neck and there is really bad pain that is in throat area just under my ear/jaw area but most importantly the pain goes behind my ear through my temple and into my left eye ( my eye feels like it is goning to burst). I get the pain in the ear....the pain feels like its deep in the ear. It seems to run along the jawline and slighty into the head. I don't have it all the time ....it seems to come on from no where....it may last an hour or more and then it leaves as quickly as it appears.
