Avatar f tn Ok so I have seen a lot of women that swear by preggie pops. I was looking online as to where sells them. but upon looking at each stores site they all say not sold in stores and to order them online. Are there any stores that actually sell them in store??
Avatar n tn Using damaged or cut DURAGESIC® patches can lead to the rapid release of the contents of the DURAGESIC® patch and absorption of a potentially fatal dose of fentanyl. I once walked in a room as a nurse, found a patient who had taken off his patch and chewed it...he coded and died...there is alot of medication concentrated in the patch to be released over a 24 hour period...not all at once...if you cut them you would have no way of knowing the amount your wife would be absorbing..
Avatar f tn re supposed to help settle your stomach. Keep some with u. You can try chewing gum or sucking mints also they sell these lollipops called preggie pops u can try. If it's not helping tho ur dr can prescribe you something thatll help. Remember stay very hydrated it's super easy to dehydrate during pregnancy and u can end up in the hospital needing ivs.
Avatar f tn I've been on the Duragesic 100 for almost 18 years. I've had 3 cervical fusions & 1 lumbar laminectomy. The Duragesic 100 has controlled my constant, chronic pain & while I've never been pain free, the Duragesic certainty helped. However in the last 2 months, its as if the patches are no longer working. I've always had additional breakthrough meds, but now its as if I'm going through withdrawals.
Avatar m tn I have chronic pain from Tarlov Disease and Interstial Cystitis. My pain has been well managed for 2 1/2 years using tramadol (ultram) for maintenance and lortab for break through pain. I have developed chronic kidney disease and my doctors are pushing me to get some exercise. I have found that with every exercise form I have tried I quickly get beyond the pain control offered bu tramadol and lortab so i can't exercise.
Avatar n tn I have been on the Duragesic Patch 74 mcg for about 3 1/2 years. During the last 6 months, I have become extremely depressed. I notice that it is worse after the second day any given patch is on. I have been treated for the depression with different antidepressants and so far have not found one that works. I am so desperate for help as the depression has taken over my life. Has anyone out there experienced this? Any input would be appreciated. I feel as though I am running out of time.
Avatar f tn m not a doctor), but I would think that if you are on duragesic (the most powerful painkiller on the planet), you don't have to take the solpadeine, and, if the amitriptyline is just to help you sleep, you probably don't need it, either, if you find the duragesic to be sedating. And in fact, you might not need the lyrica. Of course, that's assuming you are getting them all from one doctor. If you have more than one doctor, make sure they *all* know what you are taking.
Avatar m tn there had me on a medication called Temgesic. When I came back to usa I went on Duragesic Patch after a year or so.. I think this Temgesic is the detox meds you guys are talking about. I have a old box here and they were 2mg sublingal. Its buprenorfina (sp).. Brand as I say was Temgesic. Its a great medication for pain and I can never remember having the side effect of it that I have with this patch. I can't wait for the day I have none of this medication in my body.
Avatar f tn Lemon drops.
Avatar n tn I guess what I am looking for here is some feedback from those who have transitioned from duragesic into oral meds. See, I am alone and doing all of this alone is a scary road. Thank you folks...any questions, please feel free.
Avatar f tn Cool off. Take your clothes off, eat ice or ice lollipops.
Avatar n tn Hello again....I did get to my pain management Dr. this week and talked about the Duragesic Patch being partially responsible for this severe depression I am in. Of course they don't have a crystal ball but discussed switching me into another medication and spoke of the conversion table they use to determine what dose to use. My question is this....
Avatar f tn They sell ginger anti nausea lollipops at some maternity shops. They helped me a lot during my first pregnancy. I was sick the whole pregnancy. Also have a few saltine crackers before you even get out of bed. Also make sure you are getting enough protein. Eat small meals every 2 hours if u can't eat full meals. If all else fails talk to your Dr.
Avatar f tn Hi, you named , grape soda, lollipops, and fruitloops. anything purple in color. i noticed all the things listed also have white sugar. Do you get sick when you eat eggplants or plums? Also, do you get sick eating red lollipops? I'm just trying to help you narrow the food down that makes you want to vomit. I wonder if anyone does know if people can be allergic to the purple dye that is used in purple foods? Thats a good question too.
Avatar f tn Doctors can perscribe phenegranor zofran to help with nausea. Also try a wristband called Seabands. I got mine at walgreens. You wear them on your wrists and they use accupressure to help relieve the worst of the nausea. And what the previous poster is talking about is you can also try the Unisom/B6 combo. Its been awhile so I dont remember the exact amounts you take but I know its half of a unisom and I believe 250mg of vitamin b6.
Avatar n tn I am 11months and 5 days clean and sober and am enjoying life being sober!!!! I was given dilaudid in the hospital and I have been sent home on the Duragesic Patch. I had full disclosure with the doctor and he knows my entire history. Unfortunately, the pain is to bad to just be controlled with over the counter meds and I was told that Tylenol will just aggrivate the situation. Needless to say, I am scared to death.
