I'm 13 1/2 weeks and my skin and scalp has gotten dry. I added coconut oil to my lotion but it wears off like my body is drinking the lotion. I'm itchy and uncomfortable. I've tried about 4 different shampoos and conditioners and they make my scalp dry and itchy.
ladies I've seen a lot of you posting on here asking for remedy a for dry skin, I've also done it myself lol. We all know that pregnancy is not very nice to us and one problem happens to be unattractive flaky dry skin that I could not get rid of! Well I have found a solution, and I thought I would share with you all hopefully it works for you too! Baby oil! ( ironic, isn't it? ) I used it two days in a row and honestly my skin could not look or feel better.
Last 3 or 4 years I have occassionally got these round, red, circles of dry skin. about 4 or 5 times.
They are a little raised, and the outer circle is red. They do dissappear after a few days of putting
moisturizer on them. Have always been on either my shin, or calf area. Currently have on on top of
back leg, below buttock. Could this be a fungus, or just dry skin?

I have been having the same problem.. but they also get incredibly sore. I've heard soaking them in a menthol type oil with hot water will help sooth itch.. but make sure you are putting your feet up at night.. raise them above your heart on some pillows. Use lotions too.. swelling causes stretching which can dry out your skin.. that's one reason they can get itchy.
Im experiencing dry patchs of skin in various parts of my body. Is anyone else, my inner thighs are so dry and chapped they hurt and i feel like bumps on my outter thigh and i got 2 dry patch under each arm, and now they are dark spots under my arm pit, my elbows have dry skin patches im so irratated. I dont want to scratch but this is annoying and i def dont want to scratch my legs or butt for fear of more stretch marks :( what to do?
Skin changes are very normal. Get some lotion. Some women get oily skin and hair and some get really dried out skin and hair. I'm with you, skin is getting dried out and itchy. I get some relief sleeping in a cooler room with a humidifier. And don't take really hot showers. That can dry your skin out more.
My daughter is 10 days old & her skin is so dry and peeling ! It looks painful! Should I not put lotion on her??

ve used it since March of this year, and although I would get dry skin if I used it for a few days in a row, it otherwise didn't bother my skin at all. I've been using the toner regularly and didn't have a problem until I used the moisturizer as well.
Now that I know what's causing the irritation, I won't be using it anymore. But I need something now as far as stopping the itch and soothing my skin (preferably keeping breakouts to a minimum).
Additionally, treating the scalp by exfoliating away dead skin cells much like on facial skin can bring relief. Finesse makes a Revitality Scalp Balm and you could probably find a scalp mask over the internet. Aveda makes Scalp Remedy, which is best used at night based on experience. These products are also okay for sensitive skin, again from experience.

my boyfriend has dry skin on his penis...there are different patches, they dont itch, burn or hurt. We've both gotten checked for stds and have come up clear. what could this be? we have unprotected sex so it couldnt be condom irratation, we do use coconut oil sometimes for lube. thanks :)

It is very important to examine the rashes before arriving at a diagnosis. Rough skin can be due to dry skin. If there are flesh colored bumps then they can possibly be Keratosis Pilaris. Keratosis Pilaris is a genetic condition. The bumps are hair follicles clogged with a naturally-occurring hard protein called keratin that protects the skin. Another possibility is guttate psoriasis which causes small, red, and scaly teardrop-shaped spots on the arms, legs, and middle of the body.
Do not scrub your skin or shave your skin and use a soft towel and gently pat your skin dry. Also use a sunburn Over-The-Counter remedy containing aloe vera and a light moisturizer or a dusting powder to relieve chafing. You can apply silver sulfadiazine (1% cream) on the skin except face and see if it helps. Over the counter pain relief medication such a ibuprofen or acetaminophen can also be taken. Wash the face with cold water only without apply any soaps or creams.

My husband rubbed my feet in the miracle feet cream. Next day I got up with feet itching & burning so I itched somehow I got it the rash on my stomached & it's itching & if I don't scratch it it burns no further than my kneei am broke out in welps. Just recently i've been going out alot and i noticed my leg skin was pretty dry. You could see the cracks and instead of brown/tan it was kinda whitetish..i drink about 2-3 liters of water daily so i have no idea whats wrong..
