It takes a lot of courage to go into inpatient rehab. Its not an easy thing to do to admit that you can't control your drug habit. Most people can't admit that the drugs control them addicts think there in control. I guess if you live in insanity for a long time it starts to feel normal.

something dosent sound right here...well there are 2 avenues to take here if you still got a bunch left you could taper off some and get down to a lower dose then jump off and hang on
the withdrawals are doable but no fun....plan 2 is just to jump off C/T and bit the bullet

during his hospital stay a social worker was trying to find a rehab center or nursing home to take him, none of them would bcuz his social security check was too low and his tenncare would not pay. when he left hospital he was walking with assistance, using the bathroom and remembered some things like who we wer ect. now that he is home his behavior is bizzare and paronoid, he keeps falling and defacating everywhere.he does'nt sleep more than a few minutes.

1. I cannot get a doctor, up to 9 months developing trust & trueth, then refused.
2. I ask for copies of medical test results, often forget a the time, refused latter or $25.00 per page. I do have a "history" on paper for 7-8 years.
3. The new doctor application form/questioniare: No interest in my files.

Your baby will be fine it takes a 1-2 months for it to be out of your system and babies system. Dont worry about it as long as you dont do it again. And for drug testing they dont test the poop.

He was out for 1 hour and passed his drug test.He does not like rehab and to be honest i thought he would have left by now.But he is so determind to be drug free ,im proud of him as i always thought the worst would happen to James .He finds the meetins hard and to open up but i think that will come in time.Frank says its got to come from James and will eventually come. I am going crazy i just cant stand to be using anymore but am at a loss as to how i am ever going to do this on my own. I really think i need rehab,detox something of that sort. i live i a small town and dont think we have anything of that sort in our area.
Any suggestions, we are from Northern Ontario , in a very very rural area and have very litle services available to us.

I have been addicted to pain killers for 6+ years. I've decided that enough is enough & I can't continue to live like this anymore. I am 3 days clean & currently going through withdrawls. I can not afford rehab, or have anyone to care for my children if I could afford to go. I don't know if wanting to quit & change my life is enough for me to kick this. I am today 110 days clean off ALL mind altering substances, I wont get preachy or anything but the only way I was able to do it was a 18 day inpatient subxone tapering detox, and a 28 day rehab program, followed by narcotics anonymous.
It would be people coming to you that have gotten in trouble with drug use and you are something like a parole officer but not with the authority, mostly gathering information and helping them out. Has anyone ever been involved in charges against them for drug use? Is this system a big farce and bad trip? Once we are clean should we just stay away from this kind of thing forever? One part of me would really like to help others out very much. And another part says stay the hell away from it.
I would try to go the detox/rehab route because of the combination of the drugs and alcohol. A focused intervention with a drug counselor could be set up with a trip to detox immediately. Look in your phone book for drug/alcohol assistance. It is usually in the front pages in a special services section.
She is in heavy denial and needs to be approached with a worked out strategic plan. Good Luck. Ask for lots of help.
