Are there any support groups that meet for Chiari survivors, sufferers in Knoxville, TN. My daughter had decompression surgery a year and a half ago. Since then she has been suffering from headaches and mind seizures as well as fear, depression and anxiety. She has had to quit her job and we are probably going to have to file for disability for her. I think a support group would help her feel not so all alone.

I had ptyrigium removal from my left eye (second time) this past Tuesday, May 20th in Knoxville, TN at the UT Medical Center. The first operation last April resulted in the regrowth of the ptyrigium - autograft with stitches was used.
I thought I was doing very well until today, when the part of the eye with the autograft has turned from "sort of" red to "very dark red". I can see out of the eye, no discharge, and no pain any worse than I have had the past 3 days.

I have been to court so many times with my ex when I went to rehab my ex took my kids with the agreement they would return home after ( Rehab was my choice not court order). Surpise he filed for custody. My whole xanax issue started in 2003 when I went thru a very ugly custody battle with him 40,000 later rehab ect I am fighting him again. My daughters want to come home they are 14 an 16 have a lawyer. The courts have order a drug an acohol evaluation I cant find a place to do it.....
FYI, I was misdiagnosed for 25 years and seriously it can be the root of many other illnesses. I had a hip replaced at only 45 from it, hypothyroid, IC, diabetes, vision issues etc. Going to an LLMD is the best thing.
I had to finally go on disability and get Medicare for my health insurance. It's an expensive disease.
