rehab

Avatar f tn i agree you need to go to rehab....it wll help you in court. but, more than that you can come out of rehab clean and continue to stay that way. there is great support here but i agree na meetings are good too. good luck and keep us posted.
Avatar m tn I came across a job working in law enforcement. It would be people coming to you that have gotten in trouble with drug use and you are something like a parole officer but not with the authority, mostly gathering information and helping them out. Has anyone ever been involved in charges against them for drug use? Is this system a big farce and bad trip? Once we are clean should we just stay away from this kind of thing forever? One part of me would really like to help others out very much.
Avatar f tn I found a job at a church with their Mother's-Day-Out program. It's kinda like a day care mixed with preschool. It's only three days a week from 9am-2pm. They have infants to 4 year olds. I substitute there. It's a nice little job and I work almost every week. I want to be a teacher there but there's no openings for now. My favorite part about it is that my 20 month old son gets to go when I go for free. He loves it and playing with other children his age is benefiting him.
Avatar n tn i voluntarily put myself into an 18 month drug rehab in 1993. i was about to lose my kids. i had to do something. they made me detox for 3 days prior in a hospital. it was a really good program. they helped anyone with drivers license problems, fines, court ****, etc. i was able to take nursing classes. they help ed me find a job, save money, and have a place to live so that i slowly re-entered the "normal" world.
1310633 tn?1430224091 com/article/2011/06/29/us-usa-economy-jobs-clinton-idUSTRE75S6X820110629 (Reuters) - If banks loaned out their $2 trillion cash hoard, if worker training programs were stepped up and if 3 million job openings were filled, the economic recovery would be far stronger, a panel assembled by former President Bill Clinton said on Wednesday.
Avatar m tn WOW 6 80s a day thats quite a habit...I dont understand if you told them at the drug rehab you shooting them up there would be no question of abuse something dosent sound right here...well there are 2 avenues to take here if you still got a bunch left you could taper off some and get down to a lower dose then jump off and hang on the withdrawals are doable but no fun....plan 2 is just to jump off C/T and bit the bullet you will be sick for a week but you will not dye from it...
Avatar n tn Hello, I'm hoping someone who understands addiction could help. My 21 yr. old son is an addict. He's been in rehab a few times in the past 4 years. His drug of choice is mainly marijuana, but he's used cocaine, oxcy and various other drugs and he drinks. Over the last month... he began drinking a lot, smoking pot a lot, snorting coke and doing a bit of this or that (I'm not sure).
Avatar m tn So we tried admitting him (while high) to an inpatient drug rehab. He once again said he has delusions and paranoia and even admitted to coke use. He ended up in the psychiatric unit and after a week of eval. he is outpatient with a brand new scrip of psych meds even with his violent tendencies and pissing hot for coke. Anybody know why they went outpatient when is clearly abusing his medication, taking street drugs and threatening people's lives?
823771 tn?1238694400 I got out of drug rehab about a month ago. I was taking 270mg of methadone and and did NOT want to go to a drug rehab. I had no intentions of quitting upon my release. I went in completely high and naive towards what WD really was. Just like anything else you will find that people are both good in bad while working for a rehab. I encountered people that truly did not care. they told me I would get out of there and fall flat on my face.
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with an addictive personality as well as a dual diagnosis (depression and drug addiction). I used meth and Loracets daily for 6 years. These 2 demons turned out to be my drug's of choice after trying most everything out there. Financially it was killing me and destroying my family life. I'm not sure why, because my husband is the best, that I had an affair with someone 15 yrs younger than I am. This went on for 6 months.
Avatar n tn My daughter is in rehab for pills addiction. I will be able to visit her in another month. She says she will be there for a total of 6 months. She has no money, no belongings, nothing. All was lost when she was forced to go to rehab. My question is: What can I expect when she is released? She says she will have to live on the streets if I don't help her. I tried to help her by paying her rent and giving her spending money but she spent it all on drugs was was evicted.
Avatar f tn i posted on your other post in regards to your boss.. so pleased you are looking into another job.. it will make the world of difference!!
Avatar n tn Has anyone every been to rehab for drug addiction? If so...I would like to chat with you about my nephew who had to be taken to rehab after an overdose of Xanax.
299889 tn?1257339377 Hey there. Rehab vs In Home is a personal decision with no right answer. However, drug use vs clean has a definite right answer! That said, any way you get there is the right way for you. The process will suck, but (trust me) its well worth it. Power & prayers for ya!
Avatar f tn She got a DWI in Texas, lost her job. She went into a rehab due to her drug addiction. Within one day, she said she was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder which she call her disease. When she got out of rehab she was a zombie. I've never seen her in that messed up of a state in my life. She is now at another rehab and now says that her disease caused her to make all the poor choices.
Avatar m tn Although my job in the handbook says that I have to tell them if I am an addict so they can send me to rehab, I took this as I am not in rehab, just taking a medication. So don't worry about it. Sub doesn't show up on the stand drug screen. You should be fine, just DO NOT trust anyone that you work with and tell them this. You never know what the future brings with that person. Start on the lowest dose possible. Alot of docs start way too high on about 24mg.
1894876 tn?1321905695 I went to my 1st day of outpatient rehab today and totally passed my 1st drug test!!! I cried like a baby! I couldn't believe I actually made it to 2 hole weeks without my beloved pills! I want to thank all of you for helping get this far. I know I have a long way to go but I have a new found confidence and determination that I've never had! I feel like a GLADIATOR!!
Avatar f tn because they often treat drug withdrawals as all the same. They are most certainly not. The treatment protocols for, say, an opiate addiction are completely different than for a benzo. Some rehab facilities claim that you may be rapidly withdrawn from these drugs, and you can, with the help of phenobarbitol to control seizures. But the problem is once you leave the rehab facility, as the process of healing from an overly rapid withdrawal from benzos can be a difficult and lengthy one.
947931 tn?1251495088 t lock him in his room to protect him ......He has a career job waiting for him when he gets out ..But the rehab is more important ,,,Any advice ?
Avatar f tn 25 days is remarkable! Great job. I'm confused though, how long was she in rehab and did they taper her off of the suboxen?
Avatar f tn My husband has been addicted to painkillers for 3+ years. After losing his job for stealing money he finally agreed to rehab. After rehab he swore he was changed and would never go back to this lifestyle. In the meantime he was out of work for 4 months and we fell behind on our mortgage. In the midst of this I wound up pregnant. I had drug tested him a week before I found out I was preggo and he tested positve for opiates.
Avatar m tn He was out for 1 hour and passed his drug test.He does not like rehab and to be honest i thought he would have left by now.But he is so determind to be drug free ,im proud of him as i always thought the worst would happen to James .He finds the meetins hard and to open up but i think that will come in time.Frank says its got to come from James and will eventually come. James will be 1 week clean tomorrow. And over the worst of physical w/dsHe still feels agitated when pushed.
Avatar m tn I got a hand job yesterday at a parlor. I've never had any problems in the past, but no less than 20 hours later I noticed the beginning of 2 distinct bumps. Today I woke up, and the bumps have small openings in top and oil coming out and are starting to burn. I can't even believe this is real. How can I be 100% sure of what is going on here?
Avatar f tn Won't post my entire horror story here....got a drug charge and the court ordered me to undergo this IOP mental health treatment. Does anyone here have any experience with IOPMHT? What does that entail? Wanted to ask a psych doc but couldn't find a forum for it on this site....if there is one I hope someone will direct me to it.
Avatar m tn So, you’re right to look for cheap rehab centers. You don’t have to break into a bank or go broke in the name of getting off drug and alcohol addiction.
Avatar m tn MY Question is should I go to REHAB? What takes place in Rehab? Would outpatient with drug testing and meetings ok instead of rehab? ...or just some NA meetings? some advice would be helpful..I getting to old for this. I have no life and no job and no friends right now...
