Common Questions and Answers about Drug rehab ga

rehab

Avatar n tn You stated that he went to jail for possession of drug paraphernalia, not drugs. Most, like my son did, go to rehab to avoid more jail time. And resume their old habits once they are 'clean' from rehab. Someone has to 'want' to be free from an addiction without playing games. It's his choice, sorry to say, not yours.
Avatar m tn I can only speak of my rehab, but it was a 6 week outpatient facility and the cost was about 7 grand. Best money I've ever spent. Inpatient rehabs are much more expensive, naturally.
Avatar f tn I think you know what you need to do. There's two choices, stay and accept his use (and attempt to get him to go to rehab), or make him leave. The hardest thing to accept is the fact that he won't get clean for you. He'll get clean for himself when he's ready. That will happen when his bottom is hit. You can make that bottom speed up by not enabling him anymore. That means not being a party to his using. That decision has to be yours though.
351846 tn?1273615544 Does anybody know how long it takes to get klonapin outa your system? I took a drug test yesterday and took klonapins 2 weeks ago. Will I be ok??? Im sweatn it!!
Avatar f tn It's basically rehab during the day. There's usually two basic types of rehab, inpatient (where you stay there....like in a dorm) and out patient (where you go during the day but sleep in your own bed). I'm assuming that "extensive" means you'll be going either all day long, or for an extended period of time (usually either 6 weeks or 3 months).

985072 tn?1248906044 Insanity is defined as: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Unless he has a different plan in place this time, I suspect the outcome will be the same. Is he receptive to rehab at all?
983679 tn?1276833336 There is an actual "professional's" group at the rehab I went to (and continue to go to group at once a week). There's nurses, EMT's, Doctor's and all kinds of healthcare workers. I don't know what they ask you to be a nurse, but I know many nurses that are recovering addicts and alcoholics. Please, don't let that discourage you from getting the help you need. Your life is worth more than that. Plus, a dead nurse never helped anyone....
Avatar n tn I have never heard of trazodone having that effect either but I am sure anything is possible .As Ga has say trazodone has alot of drug interactions its a very old time AD. I realize many doctors have been prescribed it for sleep . I hope his doctor is will to work out a taper plan .Let us know what they say .
1113973 tn?1258663021 Quality rehab facilities that are completely free are few and far between. Many have payment plans or will work with you with payments. Your best bet is to flip through the yellow pages, find the first rehab, and call them. Tell them what you need and ask for help. If they can't help, ask for a referral. Rehab centers know about each others terms and programs for miles. They are your best source of info. Outpatient rehab isn't nearly as pricey as inpatient programs.
222369 tn?1274474635 Well everyone, I will be picking up my 9 month keytag and chip from NA/AA tomorrow. It's been a tough yet rewarding 9 months of clean time/sobriety. There's a few things I've picked up in my time (and much of it was told to me by old timers on this board like Yoda, FLaddict, and Mangee..but, I refused to listen). So, for those trying to get into recovery...here's what's worked for me.
Avatar f tn Most rehab centers take care of the detox the first week or so that you're there. I know the ones I checked into do. Also, stay away from Ultram. It will open a can of worms you don't need to mess with.
Avatar n tn yeah i went to a rehab for a five year cyrstal meth addiction and it worked, i have never used meth again, however, it actually did not work overall because even after being there i didnt understand addiction, i thought i was addicted to "meth" but what i didnt know is i am addicted to "drugs" all drugs, always will be.
Avatar m tn I have been to ones in Atlanta, GA and Wickenburg, AZ that are both very good. The one in GA is a 12 week program and AZ is 30 days I believe. It's been awhile. Anyway, I ended up getting clean for the last time on my own. If you are taking that much xanax then in my opinion you need to be in an inpatient detox. You could die if you go CT or run out of it. Please go to the doctor or a hospital ER, and tell them what's going on so that you can get some help! You are worth it!!!
Avatar n tn i am a 39 year old man who has never had a girl friend so yes i am a virgin, i am a drug addict and an alcoholic, i think i am losing my mind, what should i do what should i do first, when should i do it, etc, etc
Avatar f tn s reaction to the drug, the ensuing dependence and withdrawal symptoms if the drug is stopped. Physical dependence is a very real problem and many patients with legal prescriptions for real problems find themselves dependent on the drug. When physically dependent individuals try to quit, varying degrees of withdrawal symptoms ensue, the severity of which depends on the amount of the drug being taken.
Avatar f tn My husband has been addicted to painkillers for 3+ years. After losing his job for stealing money he finally agreed to rehab. After rehab he swore he was changed and would never go back to this lifestyle. In the meantime he was out of work for 4 months and we fell behind on our mortgage. In the midst of this I wound up pregnant. I had drug tested him a week before I found out I was preggo and he tested positve for opiates.
Avatar n tn We, my sister and I cannot go on any longer watching him kill himself, is there any type of lock down rehab that we can have him committed to? He claims that the withdrawals are far too unbearable to go on living. If there is any information that anyone can offer us about any state funded programs in or around new mexico we would greatly appreciate it.

222369 tn?1274474635 OK, did I run everyone off? I put off joining and posting over here because I was so busy...now that I finally got time..everybody left. Hope it wasn't me!! This is absolutely the most important part of staying clean. It's the hours after the withdrawals. Hope everyone's doing well...
Avatar m tn I take Buprenorphine,4 months, but I want to change drug with Nalorex. How can I do that?I need to period to clean and elminate Buprenorphine, and when can I start take Nalorex?
Avatar f tn Your best bet is to just get on the phone and start calling. Look in the yellow pages, find a rehab facility, and call them. If they aren't what you're looking for, ask for a referral. These rehab facilities are kind of a "small world". They all know each other and each others expertise. Good luck and congratulations on taking such an important step.
