Avatar n tn Hi Lisa, I was here back in 2007 before you even had your second daughter, I just go by a different name now. I had actually been thinking about you recently because I am pregnant, almost 12 weeks now and it was not planned and I've been on Suboxone for over 450 days now due to a horrible addiction.
Avatar f tn Not all rehab centers are equal. Many if not most try to do it too quickly with a one size fits all approach, whereas an individual psychiatrist who really knows his stuff will go at your pace. Not that those are easy to find! By the way, you need a new psychiatrist. The one you have doesn't seem to realize he works for you.
Avatar m tn So we tried admitting him (while high) to an inpatient drug rehab. He once again said he has delusions and paranoia and even admitted to coke use. He ended up in the psychiatric unit and after a week of eval. he is outpatient with a brand new scrip of psych meds even with his violent tendencies and pissing hot for coke. Anybody know why they went outpatient when is clearly abusing his medication, taking street drugs and threatening people's lives?

299889 tn?1257339377 The Morphine is scary and I finally started calling detox centers and rehab. I feel like I have to take myself out of my environment because my life ias so busy and the people around me ARE so needy (family) job. My fiance is behind me but he isn't an addict. The only medical detox I have found is no smoking but what the hey, 3 days.... Should I try to detox at home first and then go to treatment. I am grateful I have the chance to go. Has anyone went thru this.
Avatar f tn From what i can gather from previous posts asking the same question, some states do mandatory drug testing, others only do it if there is reason to. Here in the UK, they only do it if mother is a known drug user or if they have reason to suspect drug use.
Avatar m tn i started taking tramadol about 2 years ago for pain, and now if i run out i get really bad withdrawels, its like having the flu but a hundred times worse, i know i am addicted, i need too know if there would be a rehab for tramadol addiction in uk? im not sure if there will be as its not heroin or any other drug like that, its just a pain killer, if there was a rehab place for it then would i have too stay there for a few days or would they just tell me to cut down slowly?
1589929 tn?1310066922 I'm currently taking benzos for my anxiety disorder and have been on them for almost 3 years now but I'm not addicted to the benzos, I'm dependent on them.
1113973 tn?1258663021 Quality rehab facilities that are completely free are few and far between. Many have payment plans or will work with you with payments. Your best bet is to flip through the yellow pages, find the first rehab, and call them. Tell them what you need and ask for help. If they can't help, ask for a referral. Rehab centers know about each others terms and programs for miles. They are your best source of info. Outpatient rehab isn't nearly as pricey as inpatient programs.
Avatar f tn Most rehab centers take care of the detox the first week or so that you're there. I know the ones I checked into do. Also, stay away from Ultram. It will open a can of worms you don't need to mess with.
Avatar n tn Hi & Welcome, It is difficult to advise on this. Dilaudid is a strong drug for one and the method in which she is using it is also a factor. My heart aches to hear this. I can only suggest that you begin making phone calls to treatment centers in your area. Many of them have indigent programs or alumni programs and will take in one patient a month or so. I believe she needs professional help to get her through this. I will pray for you both. Please let us know how you are doing.
Avatar f tn i agree you need to go to rehab....it wll help you in court. but, more than that you can come out of rehab clean and continue to stay that way. there is great support here but i agree na meetings are good too. good luck and keep us posted.
Avatar m tn WOW 6 80s a day thats quite a habit...I dont understand if you told them at the drug rehab you shooting them up there would be no question of abuse something dosent sound right here...well there are 2 avenues to take here if you still got a bunch left you could taper off some and get down to a lower dose then jump off and hang on the withdrawals are doable but no fun....plan 2 is just to jump off C/T and bit the bullet you will be sick for a week but you will not dye from it...
Avatar n tn We ARE NOT HEAR TO HELP CASUAL DRUG ADDICTS THAT PURPOSELY ARE TAKING DRUGS WHEN NOT NEEDED. There are rehab centers for drug addicts..they have the expertise to help you. We (people in need of medication) are given the third-degree when going in for treatment because of casual users that make it difficult for people like us to get the medication we need. It's horrible to need anxiety medication and be grilled and tested every which way in order to finally get legit treatment.
Avatar m tn I have ulcerative proctitis and have to fly annually to the UK to buy pentasa suppositories at my own expense; as I am no longer a UK resident I have to pay for a private prescription. Japan has not done any drugs trials for this and prescribed oral pentasa to me, which let to an almighty flare. They prescibed pentasa liquid enemas, then steroids liquid enemas, then oral steroids all the while I am getting thinner, but puffier (thanks steroids!
Avatar m tn I am sorry to hear this! I didn't realize that treatment centers didn't treat or accept patients that were or weren't on certain drugs. I am sure you will find a better place to go to! Were they able to refer you to one? Good Luck!!
Avatar m tn They got listings of treatment centers too.

Avatar m tn It cost $33,000 up front. He had a really bad experience there. He was told he could take his depression medicine but they would not let him. They sent him to the hospital when he became very upset but did not follow up or check on him. He was allowed to just walk out and then disappeared and relapsed. He was only there 4 weeks but they will not give any type of refund. I later found out they are part of Narconon but they never disclosed that.

Avatar n tn Caregiver, Naltrexone is an opioid receptor antagonist used primarily in the management of alcohol dependence and opioid dependence. Wikipedia Are you confusing it with Naloxone? Not the same thing at all! Naltrexone is not an opiate agonist and is legally prescribed for addictions, approved by FDA.
