The cost of undergoing treatment in a drug abuse treatment center is a subjective issue. What is affordable to one person may not be applicable to another. So, you’re right to look for cheap rehab centers. You don’t have to break into a bank or go broke in the name of getting off drug and alcohol addiction.

i agree you need to go to rehab....it wll help you in court. but, more than that you can come out of rehab clean and continue to stay that way. there is great support here but i agree na meetings are good too. good luck and keep us posted.

Get in touch with your local crisis center. Call an addiction hotline and a local rehab to get more information. Don't give him any money or anything else that will allow him to continue his use. Call his doctor(s) and tell them he's an addict. They will then have to look into and rethink what they prescribe him. He can't truly get help unless he wants it. The harder it is for him to get what he wants, the more likely he'll realize he needs help.

At first it was difficult to say this to him but later on with the help from counselor from the rehab center, finally he agreed to go there. After completing 1 week there, he is back with us as he wants to be with us so much. Each day a person from the rehab come to check him and he is doing great. He has started taking tuition class to fill up the gap in his studies. He comes with me to every games i participate and it just make me happy to have him back. Thanks again.

t been nearly as in touch as I wish to have been while here in this rehab center. I came here because after detoxing for 4 months on my own (from Opana ER), I realized that I couldn't even figure out how much help I still needed. After being at this rehab center for a week, I don't have Opana in my system anymore. I am now on Suboxone (4mg two times a day). I have heard all the warnings about Suboxone, and plan to be off it within 1 1/2 weeks.

i went along with my friend today who we found out injected drugs - we had to go to some kind of rehab center where i guess there are many other drug addicts, anyways while sitting there i dropped my pen - so started to try and find it under the chair, whilst doing so i felt a poke- looked at my hand and saw a tiny red dot! i didn't think much of it could have been a pin or something - but then i though what if in fact it was a needle attached to a syringe etc.

Please call the National Drug Help Hotline 1-800-662-4357 or and National Alcohol and Drug Dependence Hopeline 1-800-622-2255 they will help you or get u set up with a treatment center in your area. Get your guy to help you also. I know he doesn't understand but this is an illness no different that any other illness that has to be treated.

SERIOUS help. Is rehab (a treatment-center) an option for him? If not, at the very least, he needs to get himself to a hospital so he can detox all the b/s out of his system before it KILLS him. Mixing all of the things you mention is a killer combination, as Tramahater indicated. Ticking time-bomb to say the least... Keep us posted...

Be supportive and available. Also maybe call a drug hotline for more advice usually the people there are recovering people and are very friendly and helpful.

I was in rehab for the first time in March. Was only there for 2 weeks because I found out I was pregnant about a week into treatment. They tested me when I got there but the results didn't come back until 7 days into treatment. I was already out of detox. So I chose to stay clean and not get back on anything. They wanted to put me back on methadone which is what they used to wean me off the oxy contin.

After going home from the inpatient rehab center, is it necessary to follow up with visiting the the outpatient rehab center regularly or just continue at home the rehab exercise which be taught at rehab center?

So we tried admitting him (while high) to an inpatient drug rehab. He once again said he has delusions and paranoia and even admitted to coke use. He ended up in the psychiatric unit and after a week of eval. he is outpatient with a brand new scrip of psych meds even with his violent tendencies and pissing hot for coke. Anybody know why they went outpatient when is clearly abusing his medication, taking street drugs and threatening people's lives?

i voluntarily put myself into an 18 month drug rehab in 1993. i was about to lose my kids. i had to do something. they made me detox for 3 days prior in a hospital. it was a really good program. they helped anyone with drivers license problems, fines, court ****, etc. i was able to take nursing classes. they help ed me find a job, save money, and have a place to live so that i slowly re-entered the "normal" world.

put the whippets down and step away from the tanks. i don't think there is withdrawal from this gas. back in the day we used to use it alot. it's very bad for your brain cells as is freon and all the rest of that stuff. you are the first person i ever heard say they were addicted to it. maybe someone else on here will have some better advice for you . good luck.

You will need more than 3 days in a rehab center. I was there for 3 weeks my first time. In rehab you dont just detox, you also have phsych sessions. They dont want to release you until you deal with what causes your addiction. 3 days isnt long enough to detox and difinately not long enough for rehab. If you do decide to wd at home than you have got to have some aftercare and you will need to stay away from the drug addict friends.

WOW 6 80s a day thats quite a habit...I dont understand if you told them at the drug rehab you shooting them up there would be no question of abuse something dosent sound right here...well there are 2 avenues to take here if you still got a bunch left you could taper off some and get down to a lower dose then jump off and hang on the withdrawals are doable but no fun....plan 2 is just to jump off C/T and bit the bullet you will be sick for a week but you will not dye from it...

I am 22 years old and have been in and out of rehab since I was about 17 years old. Athough I quit all my drugs years ago I have always been a steady drinker-- I drink about 5 nights a week. Last year around xmas time I went back home to visit my family and basically went on a 14 day hardcore bender with barely any sleeping or eating. I would wake up and drink all day until the sun came up the next morning.

From my experince, I told you about the contraptions you can buy to use another person's urine to get a clean test (male and female). Your son knows when he will be drug tested at rehab, it certainly didn't take my daughter too long to figure that out... so she tested negative for all drugs, much longer than she should have during round 2 of intensive out patient (following her inpatient treatment).....
