I recently quit taking Vicodin for my joint pain because I was concerned about liver damage. I have been taking Ibuprofen instead. I've been taking two in the morning and then two in the afternoon. It says don't take longer than 10 days though. I have to take something though. My knees and wrists and fingers hurt too much if I don't. I know you guys aren't Drs but experience counts for something if its what your Dr has told you. What do you guys take?

I am just wondering if there are any problems with drug interactions between Metformin and OTC meds like Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Midol, Unisom, Allergy/Sinus meds, etc... Common things that a person might take for pain, sleeplessness, allergies, colds, etc?

Ibuprofen slows bone healing. That's why they gave you Vicodin. I remember taking Vicodin every 6 hours after foot surgery. For me, it was 6 hours on the dot when the pain returned. I'd use ice and try to sleep. Keeping inflammation down is important. There are a lot of nerves in the face, so that's why it would hurt so much.

My doctor has decided to change my meds for pain to Tramadol. I have a history of drug abuse, and am concern as to whether this drug as any better then a narcotic or if is still a type of narcotic....Any info on a possible addiction to it would be apreciated. I know that Ibuprofen can often give rebound headaches. Try going drugfree and use tylenol for the headaches. At the recommended doses it will be say to use with breast feeding and should not interfere with birth control.

I take 20mgs. Prozac daily. Also take co-codamol 60/1000 x2 times daily. Also, Ranitidine 150mgs. x 1 during day & 300mgs x1 at night. Often take Ibuprofen 800mgs. at night too. Sometimes I take Diazepam 5mgs. per day as necessary. Recently I've been so depressed I started taking BUSPIRONE 5mgs. x3 times daily. My question is, are any of these drugs interacting adversely with each other?

This morning the pain is still there as is some slight nausea though I was able to eat something. Does anyone know of drug interactions between Anacin and Progesterone? Is there something else it could be?
