It's nobody's fault but mine that I'm an addict. If I didn't take Oxycontin, I would have found my addiction in the bottom of a bottle of alcohol or another substance. The fact is that Oxycontin, when used correctly and responsibly, helps millions of people with chronic pain live normal lives. Hi all! I just wanted to share something as I'm really excited. I went to the Alcohol & Drug Counselor certification class orientation last night. It was awesome! Right now Im in my last semester in college and will graduate with my 2 year AA in Social and Behavioral Sciences. I know there are whole cultures that are okay with this, but I used to work with fetal alcohol syndrome babies and kids, and they were sometimes worse off than drug-addicted babies. They don't know how much alcohol it takes to create problems, and after that experience I'd never risk doing that to my child by drinking alcohol. Maybe you can substitute with fancy grape juice?

why is it that when IV drug users share needles, there's a 67% chance of transmission of HIV but if a healthcare worker gets a needle stick laceration, it's a low chance of transmission? why is that? and i it true that the smaller the amount of HIV-infected fluid one is exposed to, the lower the chances of getting infected? like a glass full of blood being more of a transmission threat than a drop of blood?

What I suggest is icing to reduce the swelling. If there are any cuts clean them out with witch hazel (can be found in a local drug store and it doesn't sting like alchohol) and put an ointment.

If they're irregular, it's possible she's not even the whole 3 months along, which would kind of help because the sooner you quit the better. However, she won't know until the doc appt and shouldn't stress too much about it. What's done is done and cannot be reversed. There's no hard facts on small amounts of liquor because they can't really study it to say ok stop, this much more and your baby will have FAS.

My childs grades in school are fine, and like I said the only thing he gets in trouble for is laughing and speaking out of turn. I did sound like I was blaming all teachers and I did alter the results of the kids meds, for that I am sorry. I can understand why some would feel that way...this is one of those super controversial issues and I doubt there will be a concencus on this one. You are correct, I don't want my son growing up to be a smoker, alcohol abuser or pot abuser. But just like not all kids growing up abusing alcohol, they won't grow up abusing pot either. That is part of my job as his mother...to educate him on the dangers. Making it illegal or legal won't change that.

it would be great for you and your daughter if you could quit all this stuff...try getting a boyfriend thats not a drug and alcohol freak..the sx will depend on how long and how much you drank..and if you snorted or shot dope then maybe get a test for hep c...sx can get pretty intence for the first couple weeks...mine lasted much longer....good luck..

I have seen him 3 times since I took the test but suddenly on Monday he said my drug screen was positive for alcohol. I was devastated because I do not drink, not even occasionally. I do not even cook with alcohol. Now I feel that I am under suspicion. They did another random drug screen on Monday but now I feel that he is not going to have the confidence in me that he used to.
