i agree you need to go to rehab....it wll help you in court. but, more than that you can come out of rehab clean and continue to stay that way. there is great support here but i agree na meetings are good too. good luck and keep us posted.

s mother came and spoke about the heartbreak of her sons death (mikes best friend and fellow bandmate) and said how real addiction is and how possible death is when youre an addict, and now the very person she came to visit is dead. Wow I had no idea he had died. It just shows how real addiction is and that show celeb rehab. Even though it was a reality show it rly was no joke.

I have a son in jail for drug addiction and we are going to court on monday, his girlfriend which is also addicted, and him tried to kill us just before christmas and both of them were arrested, my son was kept in jail for he did not comply with his parole rules, girlfriend was released, their 5 year old daughter Kelly was placed in our care and we are now trying to get custody of her until both of them are clean and has sorted their lives out.

Sign into the hospital or drug rehab they will help it's gonna be hard but don't think about ur self think about that blessing God has given u if this baby can't make u stop then maybe nothing can get help before you hurt your baby I have had friends addicted to drugs I'm an ex drug addict 4 1/2 yrs clean u can do it I will be praying for you and hope u make the right choice God bless you

you are in toronto, right? im not sure about the rehab centres around there, but as you know in canada, they are almost all free. i live 5 minutes from one of the largest rehabs in ontario and have lots of info about this place. i think inpatient treatment is the best for you as crack is a bugger to beat, but with this help i know you can do it. i can tell you want this now and im happy to hear that you know you will need help to do this. best of luck to you.

My daughter is in rehab for pills addiction. I will be able to visit her in another month. She says she will be there for a total of 6 months. She has no money, no belongings, nothing. All was lost when she was forced to go to rehab. My question is: What can I expect when she is released? She says she will have to live on the streets if I don't help her. I tried to help her by paying her rent and giving her spending money but she spent it all on drugs was was evicted.

So i am 6 months off a 4 year addiction to hydrocodones and also unemployed. I came across a job working in law enforcement. It would be people coming to you that have gotten in trouble with drug use and you are something like a parole officer but not with the authority, mostly gathering information and helping them out. Has anyone ever been involved in charges against them for drug use? Is this system a big farce and bad trip?

I was diagnosed with an addictive personality as well as a dual diagnosis (depression and drug addiction). I used meth and Loracets daily for 6 years. These 2 demons turned out to be my drug's of choice after trying most everything out there. Financially it was killing me and destroying my family life. I'm not sure why, because my husband is the best, that I had an affair with someone 15 yrs younger than I am. This went on for 6 months.

I do not know your drug but I know addiction. It sometimes takes many tries and the single hardest thing is staying off the drug. (That's why it is called an addiction). Think about how you started using again. What was the situation; what do you think caused it? Rehab centers sometimes need to be repeated. Did you have aftercare, groups? Therapy? after treatment? Was your situation intolerable without drugs. Are you in chronic pain? Start over. New start!

I would try to go the detox/rehab route because of the combination of the drugs and alcohol. A focused intervention with a drug counselor could be set up with a trip to detox immediately. Look in your phone book for drug/alcohol assistance. It is usually in the front pages in a special services section. She is in heavy denial and needs to be approached with a worked out strategic plan. Good Luck. Ask for lots of help.

Hi Bob...did/would you consider going into a detox or rehab center? They would medicate you so that the withdrawl symptoms aren't as bad as they would be coming off the Norco by yourself and you'd be in a controlled environment where you couldn't be tempted to take anything. I once had a 20 Percocet a day habit, but I was younger and although it was hell, the withdrawl was easier than it would be now. It took 3 days of detoxing for me to start feellilng better.

Unless your addicted to a drug yourself your baby wont be harmed from sex. However if he was using at the time of falling pregnant i could imagine his sperm wouldnt of been too healthy, but there are lots of babies born from drug addict mothers and are some what fine. i highly doubt his habit will affect ur baby.
