Avatar f tn For many years I have suffered from visual and auditory hallucinations, night terrors, and sleep paralysis and have even acted out nightmares while sleep walking (issuing a knife to carve into my chest). I have been on many mental illness meds but Depakote does seem to help the best even those it only seems to help to a minimum.

It has been stated by health experts that nearly all cancer and heart disease patients have some form of Mental Illness, for example depression. I have lived with mental illness for years, I've tried over 10 different anti-depressants for anxiety/depression. Nothing seems to help. Clonazepam is the only thing I feel allowing me to have a normal life. My solution: What I've started to do rather than take clonazepam everyday, is take it only on the days I know I have a stressful shift.
