doxycycline hsg

Hello! I am scheduled for an hsg test 3-4 days before ovulation (I use ovulation tests). I was prescribed to take Doxycycline (as a preventive measure) 2 days before the test and 3 days after the test. In case the test result is fine, do you think it will be ok to TTC this month? How long does it take for a Antibiotic to be eliminated from the body? (I usually don't take any medication while ttc). How quickly after hsg can we ttc? I appreciate you answer. I am having a HSG Tuesday! I too have a prescription for an antibiotic. Did you go by yourself? Or, do you suggest someone going with me?

Having HSG next week. I was wondering if it would be okay to take some xanax or percocet before the procedure. The doc said to take 3 Advil but I'm very nervous and scared, would it be alright? If so, which one would be better?

The doctor told me if we were nervous the fallopian tubes would not open even with hsg especially if the radiologist was not experienced enough. Before the hsg the doctor prescribed me a medicine which i forgot its name. It was to make the lower abdomen relaxed. My suggestion would be try to do a second or third hsg before the surgery.

Is there any way I got PID in the 11 months since I had my normal HSG or do you think a normal HSG with bilaterial hydrosalpinges is just unfortunate coincedence? 2. With my tubes being "fixed" but a hydrosalpinx being viewed on u/s a week later, does this mean my left is likely re-infected? 3. My RE says if my tubes stay open (i.e. the hydrosalpinges are "fixed") on a follow up HSG, I can do IVF without having the tubes removed. If blocked - tubes come out....

I'm a bit confused about your question. HSG is a diagnostic test to see if your tubes are blocked. It's not really therapeutic in nature. It's just one of the tests they do for infertility work ups. Maybe if blocked tube is your problem the dye can clear some blockage, but I've got no evidence of that. So to answer your question...lots of people have become pregnant after the HSG, but I don't think the HSG was the reason for the pregnancy.

How affective is doxycycline 100mg when taken for a period of seven days to cure infections and std's present in the body alone with a shot a penicillin.

where did the pills come from?

I took Doxycycline for 10 days to treat a sinus infection. A week after finishing the Doxy I developed a sore throat and sore tongue. I'm assuming it is a reaction to the drug. How long will this stay in my system and is there anything I can take to alleviate the reaction?

I have been on doxycycline an antibiotic for about 5 days and i seem to be feeling very anxious and panic like. Does anyone know if this can cause these symptoms. I am also on 25mg of zoloft. Thanks for any help you can give me.

doxycycline is what they treat you with for lyme right? Odd thing but my gyno called me in that medicine for a common thing probaly yeast infection... i just talked to the recpetionist not the actual doctor because it was very minor she said. But anywho should i take it? Obviously i should but should i take it when im a positive for lyme but have no LLMD yet and my ID just got back to work today so shes catching up with everyhting and havent looked at my results yet.

I took single dose of doxycycline everyday for 6 weeks during the summer. Would that have cleared a chamydia infection.

i had an hsg 12 years ago, all fine and hubby has low sperm count, not everso. after hsg i had lap and die, and uterus and womb check, all done under g.a. had bloods to. everything fine.been diagnosed with unexplained fertility. just had 2nd ivf which failed again. im 33 years old now, going 4 3rd cycle in few months. hope it works.

Could it be from the hsg? I didnt use an opk this month just because my dr did the hsg so late in my cycle (because that was the only time he could get me in) but I usually O on cd 14. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, i m 33 this year, has been TTC for 1 year, last month 29/03/2010 on CD 10 i went for an HSG X ray, usually i m suppose to ovulation between CD 16-18 (32 cycle), but after the HSG test, my OPK shown negative during CD 16-18 which i m suppose to ovulate, i m confuse now cos i do not know if i m ovulating this month or i have an earlier ovulaiton. Btw, my result for HSG test shown tt one side of my fellopian tube was block, but the other side was perfect...... help !!

Just curious - how many months after an HSG (counting the month of the HSG as the 1st month) did you get preggo? Also, can you tell me a bit about yourself. Since having my HSG performed I have had a great increase in the whitish discharge, (I never had before) which from what I have read is a sign of ovulation. If I have not been producing eggs at ovulation, can the HSG test trigger egg pruduction now??
