Vitamin C is highly alkaline forming too so not surprising about the heartburn. Vitamin B12, folate and vitamin B6 are needed to keep homocysteine levels in healthy range. I personally had elevated liver enzymes for years from undiagnosis Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Gallbladder Attack's article is really informative about stomach acid. Here are some excerpts...
I saw a urologist. He did urine test and did anal exam. He said no UTI. He said my prostate is little tender and diagnosed it as urithritis. He prescribed Doxycycline 100mg (2 tabs day). I have been taking it for 12 days. No improvement in the symptoms. Burning sensation in the anal area was not there before I started Doxycycline. Before going to the Urologist, I went to my primary care physician. She prescribed 2 tabs of Zythromycin 500mg and 1 tab of Cipro 500 mg.
I also meant to mention that for the past few days I've been having hot flashes and heartburn, and I've been really tired (let's just say I'm about 30 years away from worrying about menopause)
This eventually turned into heartburn, loss of appetite, and diarrhea, followed by joint pain. My resting heart rate had started to slow down, but about a week after being off meds started to increase, probably because I was in an extreme flare up (at least that's what it seems like to me). I had seen my rheumatologist during this, and he was extremely unhelpful. He didn't give any advice or insight into what could be going on.
Yes.
I want to confirm what Jaybay and others have said, and that is try the Acidophilus route, which adds "good" bacteria back to your digestive system, after a bunch of antibiotics have killed ALL the bacteria. Usually the body will fix itself slowly, but for many people, they get tummy upset after antibiotics.
one major problem i am facing is extreme burping and sometimes heartburn. due to this i feel my throat start paining. i will update soon.
I have been to about 30 doctors- including ENT's allergists, neurologists, chiropracters, opthamologists. psychologists, dentists and everything else u can think of. All CT scans, MRI of brain and blood work keep coming back clean and ok. Nothing I try seems to work. There was a period of time about 3 and a half years ago that the symptoms lifted for about 4 months and then it returned full force.
I used to be very active, exercise 4-5 times a week and now I just go to work and go home and lay in bed. And I'm only 27! The only thing I do have is mild hypothyroid. My doc said I could have gone until I was 40 without realizing it. I also have twitching throughout my body and on my face. I've been to every doctor imaginable...
I never stopped the doxys although the second doctor told me to stop because I had doubts about the syphilis test result, but I never mentioned the tick to her. I have slight heartburn and weakness and slight muscle tremors. I've had doxy for 5 days now and I started the azithromycin last night as well. I've also had the ceftriaxone shot and two consecutive days of penicillin shots after that. Do you think I'm infected ? Thank you for taking the time to read my question.

I had gone to our family doctor over a period of about a year, in 2006, during which time I was given Keflex, Doxycycline, Cipro, Augmentin and a Clindamycin topical gel, (which actually seemed to accelerate and spread the infection on my face in the shaving area), and nothing seemed to do any good. The pimples do seem to get better if you break them open and remove the hair follicle, but I have had some linger for weeks if you don't get every single hair out of the pimple.
] 'The recommended antibiotic for the treatment of Lyme disease in non-pregnant adults is doxycycline, however, doxycycline is not ideal for breastfeeding mothers due to its long half-life and greater uptake into human milk than alternative treatments. Other antibiotics such as amoxicillin, cefuroxime, clarithromycin and azithromycin are preferred since their levels of transmission into breastmilk have been measured and are minimal.
My other advice is to be prepared in the future. Condoms are widely available, easily transported and help to reduce heartburn following new or casual exposures. I hope these comments are helpful.
I never mentioned anthrax to doctor, and have taken advice and meds, but it's not going away, and when comes back as bad after feeling like I'm getting better, I get more concerned about diagnosis. Medical care here isn't good, and Doctor doesn't speak English well either. Does this sound like acute bronchitus? If anthrax, would it go on this long without having killed me already?
(I have been on antibiotics for 3 weeks now) I've been having heartburn and hot flashes for a few days (before the increased dose). Now I'm experiencing some light bleeding when I wipe, it started off barely visible and pink, but after intercourse it was a little heavier and brown (still only when I wipe.) I have 4 more active pills before the inactive ones. Am I experiencing withdrawal bleeding due to the antibiotic or could it be implantation bleeding?
He think the Skin itching, Eyes irritation, throat and stomach discomfort, and sore throat could be Doxycycline side effects. I asked him for a RNA test to discard HVI soon instead of wait for the 3-6 months period, and he said it is not necessary since the odds of get HIV from oral sex are low. Do you think I should consult a second opinion? Do you think this is an accurate diagnosis?

This causes the outer thigh to pull tighter, and the knee tracks poorly. I would say; strengthen the inner thigh, strengthen the ITB, and see if that helps any. What country are you from? Do you travel to any 3rd world countries? Regarding the inguinal adenopathy, could there be a potential for parasites such as Malaria or Philareal, etc?
Mine is a sharp stabbing pain below my left breast that comes and goes and sometimes radiates to my underarm. I also have a sore throat and hoarse voice a lot. Does anyone else have left sided chest pain with their reflux and did you think it was your hear before you were diagnosed? Do you also have reflux induced asthma? I have no family history of asthma. Thanks!
Medicines and Pregnancy All medicines affect your body in some way. When you’re pregnant, you need to be extra careful about taking medicine. You shouldn’t take any type of medicine without first asking your doctor. Check with your doctor or nurse about any prescription or over-the-counter medicines as well as herbal supplements. What medicines can I take? Many pregnant women aren’t sure what types of medicines are safe to take.
A doctor diagnosed me with GERD/acid reflux, so I'm taking Pariet which if it has worked hasn't done much, I really feel this is the wrong diagnosis, as I have no heartburn and I don't cough in bed. I get a little bit of pain in the chest (nothing major), when I do a really intense exercise session I'll cough up a lot for an hour or two. But general exercise doesn't affect me. I got a second opinion and the doctor thought it could be a mild case of Bronchitis.
