information was that some people do get ulcers and gastritis from using Doxycycline. Now there is a study published on Doxycycline and ulceration, which has three cases studies. Also there are warnings that if you don't take enough water with the Doxycycline it can cause an ulcer in the esophagus or that if you don't take it with food it can cause gastritis. Doxycycline 100 mgm by mouth twice/day for 6 weeks and then once/day for 3-6 months is a common treatment of blepharitis and meibomian gland disease. It is not so much antibacterial as antiinflammatory and gets into the oild gland. That's the reason its also used for acne. There is a new product that is specific for blepharitis but I don't have the details or brand name. None of these cause floaters.
instead, i juz told her my prob and she diagnosed me wif oesophagus reflux(side effect of doxycycline) meanin the acid in my stomach traveled up to my esophagus causing irritation and prescibe me wif anacid.
i read somewhere that if i were to take doxycycline, i must not take anacid because it will lessen the effectiveness of doxycycline.

I was just diagnosed with lyme disease and will be taking Doxycycline for 30 days. Can anyone tell me if I must avoid dairy entirely or just avoid it a couple of hours before and after taking this antibiotics?

I took Doxycycline for 10 days to treat a sinus infection. A week after finishing the Doxy I developed a sore throat and sore tongue. I'm assuming it is a reaction to the drug. How long will this stay in my system and is there anything I can take to alleviate the reaction?

It's my understanding that Herpes, Ghonorrhea and Syphillis are the biggest concerns with this behavior. So I was tested on Tuesday afternoon (72 hours after the act) and I'm concerned that:
1. The Doxycycline would tamper the test.
2. The Doxycycline would tamper the symptoms if I had contracted Syphillis or Ghonorrhea.
