avonex

Avatar n tn Ive been using nizoral shampoo every other day on the infected area and for the first 2 weeks was using lamisil or canensten cream (anitfungal). However the last doctor i went to prescribed me DOVONEX (calciptotriol). Ive done some research on what it is, and there is no link between Psoriasis(which is what dovonex is used for) and Pytriaisis Versicolor or even Tinea Versicolor, or any other fungal infections for that matter.

Avatar n tn My psoriasis lasted aorund 10 days on the genitals. Of course it did not go away without me putting Dovonex on it. Dovonex is not exactly highly recommended for the genital area but it cleared mine right up. I have also got those painless type lesions that crust over and go away within 2 weeks.
Avatar f tn Hi, I am really really concerned about a burn scar which I have on my left hand. I burned my hand with hot wax in a little area about a size of a quarter about 6 months ago. Now I have a white scar on that area. I've been to a dermatologist and they prescribed me Dovonex and Vectical ointment. I've been using Dovonex and now I'm using Vectical. The dermatologist told me I should keep putting the ointment on before I think of doing something else.
Avatar f tn I have been switched to Dovonex for the treatment of psoriasis, but experienced achey joints and hormonal fluctuations after prolonged use of Desonide (0.05%). I was wondering if this is just a coincidence (that I am just naturally predisposed to having thyroid problems) or if I misused the ointment.
520292 tn?1232035850 I have treid all the regular stuff, dovonex, clobetasol, olux e , all the topicals! It just does not work for me, anybody have any other suggestions??
Avatar n tn Hello, my six month old son was born with ILVEN. It starts on the back of his shoulder and goes down his arm to the crease of his arm. We have been going to a pediatric dermatologist since we first noticed it. They did a biopsy and it came back as ILVEN. His dermatologist prescribed dovonex and a steroid cream I apply twice daily. I have been doing this for 3 months now and I don't see any change at all. Our next appointment is in another 3 months to check it.
Avatar m tn s had problems with holding her urine. At times it will just come out. She was put on a med. from the Vet. Does anyone know of a generic brand or natural one that will do the same. I can't keep going back paying office visits everytime she needs a new med.
1134609 tn?1269272200 I have never had any luck when I have been placed on the generic brands of medications. Celexa especially; I was on it for 10 years, tried the generic several times and paid for it. 3. I have also been on Neurontin for the past 10 years. In a past post, I wondered if they decrease in dosage is what was causing me so many problems. However, I am back on the brand name of the medication and there's a HUGE difference between the two.
Avatar m tn Have you tried Dovonex, a vitamin D3 derivitive, on your elbows? Might be stronger than Elidel on that part of the body. Ointment is stronger than cream. Just be careful not to get it on your face so best to wear long sleeves after applying so you won't accidently touch. Also, as mentioned, Protopic -- very similar to Elidel -- is a bit stronger and sometimes works better than Elidel.
Avatar f tn I have been on betamethasone, desonide, dovonex (for a year) and, now, clobetasol (once a day). I will be undergoing phototherapy in a month. My question is whether or not it is safe to have phototherapy on thinning skin. Also, should I treat thinning skin with moisturizers or is there another solution? I have terrible bruising; but the cream seems to be working.
Avatar m tn i have been using generic drugs for long time.i tried brand and generic drugs. Google it to find cheap drugs. i do buy from www.a2zepharma.com. you can try from it. Good luck!

Avatar n tn At the time, my doctor informed not to take the generic form of Synthroid. I recently switched pharmacists who prescribed a generic form, Levothyroxine. After a few days of taking the medication, I noticed I had become extremely fatigued all day long and have also recently noticed irritability. Could these symptoms be caused by taking the generic form of the medication?
519736 tn?1253986826 My husband was prescribed generic lipitor about a year ago. Prior to this he was advised to use Slo Niacin. When he began the lipitor, his dr. did not tell him to stop taking the Slo Niacin. He has been taking them together daily. Last week he experienced more frequent, loose bowels, but did not feel "sick"..This went away and he started to have muscle pain in the chest and upper back and his legs..that began 3 days ago. The muscle pain is preventing him from getting any sleep.

1325193 tn?1450127436 I have found the generic Lexapro to be very good, and have only heard the usual side effects that all AD's have. But you should mention this to your doctor and see what he says. This all could be from your withdrawal or a combination of both, but you need to let your doctor know what is going on, if just for your peace of mind. Good luck in getting off the Vicodin, I wish you all the best.
Avatar f tn Is anyone taking the generic of tdf? Would like to know how long have you been taking it and how is the working? I'm wondering if generics are safe to take long term, will it cause resistance or other side effects?
Avatar n tn I went the other way - from generic to Levoxyl. Six weeks later, my T3 and T4 had both gone down, even though the dose had remained constant. This indicated to me that the generic might have been a bit on the high side. My endo says the generic can vary as much as 15% from its stated dosage. So, if you were on 125mcg Synthroid and switched to generic (possibly containing 15% more - also could be 15% less), you'd be at approximately 144 mcg. That's a pretty big change.
Avatar f tn Walgreens(Local pharmacy here) generic digital worked every time and was right (2 weeks after IUI picked up postive) and it was right!
