but im thinking of trying zantac for her the least doisage possible just to cjeck if it will reduce the spitting and the crankiness after feeds, but i also don't want her tummy to get used to it since my self i have been on omeprazole for years and can't live without it.. it's only during my pregnancy that I have changed to zantac and in severe cases pariet or lanzor.

Yes it can. 4 of my kids were on meds for reflux and were extremely gassy. IF she is formula fed you could try switching her to Enfamil AR it's formulated with extra rice starch to help with reflux. If that doesnt work you could try a soy based formula.

I went back on my Zantac and after a few days it subsided. Now my Meth. dosage has been increased to three times a day and I have noticed that feeling come back/increase. Its odd though. She does not cry for food and she suffers from GERD. The drs said feed on demand but then said small frequent meals. How much how often should she be eating? I'm waking her every 2 hours to feed and giving her 2oz pumped breastmilk. When breastfeeding she eats until it all comes back.

What the heck???? The only thing that I can think of is that I started taking 150 mg of Zantac twice a day a few months ago for the horrible heartburn. I had an endoscopy and it showed I had lots of inflamation and the gastro doc put me on the Zantac because Prilosec and Nexium make me nauseated. Should I go off the Zantac and try something else?
