Avatar m tn My dog has been vomiting yellow bile and sometimes with food.. he has very little appetite. Vet visit last wed showed nothing unusual on blood work and exam. said to treat as acid reflux. Meds haven't stopped it and appetite is actually worse.. he is 10+ husky/shep mix.
1086217 tn?1256696089 When we got a new vet, she immediately treated his ears, and no more vomiting. It can also happen if your dog has bad allergies, from all that mucus draining into the stomach. You might want to check your dog's ears for a lot of wax or redness, and watch for a lot of scratching or biting to indicate allergies.
910699 tn?1242769468 I have also noticed that she does not want to eat much. My dog has never liked to eat dog food so we have been given her eggs, chicken, and other meats that we might have at meal times. When she does eat she tends to eat fast, but lately she does not want to eat these foods. She drinks water on a regular basis and goes to the washroom regularly everything looks normal. Should I take her to the vets?
Avatar n tn My dog has been vomiting in the morning about once or twice a week intermittently for a few weeks. She is 5, a mutt (my best guess is border collie and husky mix?) and otherwise seems fine. Before and after she vomits she doesn't seem to be bothered at all and is active and playful. I haven't brought her into the vet yet since it doesn't seem to be effecting her very much, but since it is happening on and off for a while now I'm starting to get concerned.
Avatar n tn My dog has little to no appetite and has been vomiting yellow bile. Should I wait it out or have him seen?
509877 tn?1315361694 She ate some pork a couple of days ago and them started vomiting the yellow frothy stuff. They had to give her steroids to stop the vomiting, does this mean she will always have the pancreatitis? Or is this a one time thing? I know not to let her eat anything but her dog food diet but I am still worried... Any thoughts?
Avatar n tn s been to the vet for regular check ups and it a very healthy dog. the vet said the yellow bile was normal... and that she has a very sensitive stomach. we have had her on special dog food from the vet for senstive tummies and she still occasionally throws up the yellow bile.
Avatar m tn I have a 2 year old yellow lab. He has a very sensitive stomach. Only food he loves is Blue Chicken and Brown Rice. Friday and this morning when I give him just the dry nuggets, immediately after he eats them- he vomits. He doesn't seem to be sick. He is his normal, playful, self. No diaherra. I gave him plain white rice and boiled chicken and he was absoutely fine - no vomitting. Could the nuggets have gone bad? Stomach bug in my dog?
1283791 tn?1276818314 The past few mornings she has been throwing up a yellow foamy color. But other than the that she has been eating like normal and playing like crazy. She shows no other signs of illness so i am completely stumped. Does anyone have any suggestions on why this could be happening. Avatar n tn I don't want to panic, but my dog vomited a very large pile of bile (white). Before I rush him (30 lb Boston Terrier, 8 yrs old) to the doctor, I would like to know what to watch for and what some common causes might be. He is a very sensitive dog and gets upset easily. We are NEVER out late, but came home a couple hours later than usual last night and this morning he vomited. With his sensitve personality, I was curious if it could be related.
Avatar n tn My 13 month old Teddy has been eating his dog poop and this morning he throw up yellow bile, is this normal for a shih-tzu? I am worried and wondering if I should take him to vet. 225036 tn?1294509400 Hi everyone. I have a Shih Tzu that is about 4.5 years old. We just got him last Thanksgiving form friends. He often vomits yellow foamy bile. He doesn't eat well at all and sometimes when he vomits there is undigested food in it. I was wondering if this is common and what are some suggestions to help him feel better. Thanks everyone.
Avatar f tn My dog regularly retches and vomits yellow coloured saliva, on the days that she does this she goes off her food all day, but then she seems OK and eats normally, her stools are quite hard, but she passes them around 3 times a day. Should I be worried about this? She is a 22 month old Bichon Frise.

Avatar f tn Missy dog vomits when she eats or drinks. She can only keep down white rice and small amounts of water at a time. Her stool is normal and stomach isn't hard. I am concerned at she can't continue to just eat rice. I tried boiling hamburer and putting a little in the rice but she vomited that too.
Avatar n tn but well worth it!! every once in a while my dog (Zoe) will throw up yellow bile, and have really runny mucousy bowel movements. its really gross. i feel bad for her. i noticed that her appetite goes down and she is really mopey and lacks energy. the vet told me that it is common in shih ztu's and to make sure she sticks to her diet. since being on the new dog food, ive noticed that the bile and mucousy episodes have dramatically reduced.... but every once in a while it it happens.
Avatar n tn I vomited in the morning after a night of drinking. my vomit was first yellow, then turned yellow-reddish and at the end was a small amount of bright red blood. Is there something wrong with me or was this related to the drinking.
Avatar n tn I dose with less than that--I use only 1 tablet (25mg) at night with our dog. He takes it at night, and no vomiting at night any more. I can usually catch him before he pukes in the daytime, so I don't give it in the daytime. Hopefully, someone else can give you (and me) more ideas. But wanted you to know about the Benadryl, particularly. You can buy that over the counter. We also tried Pepcid and Reglan, without any luck.
Avatar n tn and b) whether you or your vet has wormed your dog - if your dog has worms, they will be absorbing the food you give him and very little nutritional value will be getting into your puppy's bloodstream. Hope this helps. If despite the above comments, your puppy is still vomiting, please get him to a vet as soon as possible.
