xalatan

17644146 tn?1458782868 Does anyone take Xalatan? I picked up my new bottle of Xalatan today and I noticed the pharmacist didn't take it from the refrigerator, but took it off the shelf where she keeps all her prescriptions. I asked her if she shouldn't have had it in the refrigerator since yesterday when I called in the refill. She said one day out of the refrigerator would not harm the unopened Xalatan. When I got home I put it in my fridge.
Avatar m tn t want to get into a big discussion on whether or not it is available. I just want to know if it NEEDS to be refrigerated. Does it? What if you don't keep it cool? I don't want to get into taking a med that needs this kind of special treatment because it opens the door for lessened potency, of course. Could someone get to the bottom of this refrigerate or not Thyrolar issue?
Avatar m tn A year ago when l first started taking Xalatan myeye pressure was 33 now its 20 so the drug seems to be working. IS 20 still too high? my eye doctor has prescribed me Timoptol XE to try to make it lower. If the soreness continues are there any alterantive eyedrops for glucoma thst work just as well that don't casue soreness or stinging ?
Avatar f tn s a multi dose vial it does need to be refrigerated after opening. Sooo, which is it?? The vial contains 4 weeks worth of medication for me.
Avatar n tn But i have a thinner cornea which my opthamologist said would cause the reading to be lower than the actual value.
Avatar n tn Go to www.rxassist.org and log in and put your brand drug name to see if you can get Pharma help, even if you have insurance, in some cases. For example, if you have Medicare and your income/2 is below $29,140, Pfizer will provide the medication for free. The trick is you have to submit a hardship form along w/application. Call them at (800) 707-8990 and tell them you have Medicare and they will send the form with the application. You don't have to be in the coverage gap.
154668 tn?1290115995 Does that mean long term storage or does that mean that we need to keep them cold if we go out for the afternoon?
Avatar m tn I ALSO TAKE XALATAN ONCE A DAY IF I ACCCIDENTALLY DID TWO TIMES A DAY IN A 4 MONTH SPAN WOULD ALL THIS BE OK.IM STARTING TO SCHEDULE TIS SO I USE HE CORRECT DOSAGE BUT IM JUST CURIOUS THANKS FOR YOUR TIME.
Avatar m tn How long would you say it would take pressure in eye to increase from normal to 50. I am on timoptol and xalatan at moment.
17644146 tn?1458782868 I wonder if anyone was ever using the brand name Xalatan and then had to switch to the Greenstone generic brand (supposedly made by same company- Pfizer). If so has it worked okay? My insurance might not cover the brand name any longer, which I have been taking for about 30 years, and wants me to switch to generic. (Insurance company and pharmaceutical companies are driving me crazy with their prices, etc.
Avatar n tn What special considerations, if any, need to be taken as my wife considers having her cataracts removed and a multi-focal lens inserted, given the fact that her IOP's were slightly elevated (and an Aunt had glaucoma) but returned toward normal on Xalatan drops? Might she expect the cataract surgery itself to alter her pressures toward normal or should she have a combined laser filtering procedure? Thanks.
Avatar m tn I MISSED A COUPLE DOSES OF COSOPT AND XALATAN THE PAST MONTH SHOULD I JUST GO ON WITH MY REGULAR SCHEDULE/
Avatar f tn Odd thing about this rash is it is NOT constant and seems to respond to treatment but when treatment stops, rash returns. I am going to keep a journal beginning today to see if I am doing something to create this. Also going for a 3rd opinion (have never done this) to Alexei Moraczewski, MD who I located thru this the link provided by medhelp. Things are "lookin'" up!
Avatar f tn How much can Xalatan lower IOPs by? If it is not enough to get into safe figures, can other prostaglandins be tried? Is it realistic to hope that some of them will work for more than 2 or 3 years or is tolerance almost always built up to the drugs?
Avatar n tn Both the Alphagan and Xalatan can cause redness. I am sure your physician will start to decrease these drops since the pressures in your eyes are normal.
Avatar m tn Also as a cataract begins to grow, the angles can narrow. So you still need to be monitored every 4 months or so. Down the road, cataract surgery is the 100% cure for narrow angles. You might need an iridotomy also down the road, before cataract surgery. A glaucoma specialist ophthalmologist will keep your eyes very safe.
Avatar n tn He changed the drops to Travatan. But the pain is still present after using travatan for like 2 weeks. What else can be the cause? What else should I try to find out?
Avatar n tn The retinal specialist seemed to be a loss. He is now recommending a glaucoma specialist. We are not sure what to do.
Avatar m tn I was misdiagnosed as having pressure in my eyes and was given Latanoprost eye drops which I used for 5 days and my intuition told me to stop it and get a second and third opinion which I did. I then found out I did not need to be on Latanoprost and my eye pressure was normal. I am only 45 and never had a problem with dark circles under my eyes which developed two days after I started using the eye drops.
257175 tn?1204161973 ve used ovidrel and novarel over the past two months, and ovidrel was the only one that needed to be refrigerated, because it was pre-mixed. Novarel just needed to be kept at room temperature. Once it's mixed, though, and if you don't use it right away, then it should be refrigerated...but who does that? LOL! Best of luck!
Avatar m tn The most common cause would be that you have a refractive error and need glasses for the best vision and to try and make the vision equal or near equal in both eyes. At 46 they would need to be a lineless bifocal type to work far, near and intermediate. Cataracts are not common at your age and glaucoma mainly affects peripheral vision not central.
Avatar f tn t know what could be wrong and i am starting to get worried. Sugesstions and advice are very much needed. Thank you.
Avatar m tn Thanks Can-do-man. I see some posts on another thread about the need for boce to be refrigerated, too. Is that right? What happens if you forget and it's been out for a while? Does anyone out there know the pill count per day for telaprevir, too?
