ultracet

Avatar f tn I am in SO much pain!! The doctor did prescribe Tramadol 50 mg instead of Ultracet but it is not helping at all. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have tried moist heat, TENS unit, Lidoderm patches, Tramadol, Zanaflex, and even took some leftover hydrocodone 7.5 that I had. NOTHING is touching this TERRIBLE Pain! Can anyone offer any advice?
Avatar f tn Well, then he offers her Ultram and luckily I have told her all about these drugs from what I have seen posted here and on the net and she declined and told him that he needed to google ultram withdrawals..lol. go mama! I just want to know why if these drugs are so terrible to withdraw from, that the drs.can say they are non-narcotic? Are they non-narcotic? If they are, then that still deceives people because they hear non-narcotic, they assume no side effects, can stop anytime etc..
Avatar m tn "cet" means tylenol..like ga guy said...not all drugs with tylenol say "cet" tho...lortab does not...percocet and lorcet do...but they all contain tylenol///ultracet is tam with tylenol....Ultram is just tramadol///tramadol is the generic name and Ultam is a brand name Trams do have both an AD quality causing increased seratonin/which is the same action as many popular ADs...zoloft, lexapro, prozac paxil, celexa...
5639849 tn?1372346883 does anyone really know if tramadol has opium in it?
Avatar f tn whats ultracet? i know its a pain reliever with tylenol, but does it give you the energy and motivation of vike or percs? I ask because I had to change doctors, and while he wasnt too happy to write for the vicodins i have been on for years, he had no problem with ultracet and he gave me a script.....so im basically asking, do people get addicted to this drug? should i not even start it?
Avatar n tn does he have prior addiction problems? that is about 8 a day and tramadol is a weak pain killer but very addiction...2 weeks may not be long enuf to get addicted...tramadol is supposed to be tapered slowly if u r addicted to it....it may be the cause of the tummy stuff...does he have the runs? are u sure he doesnt take other stuff that u dont know about?
Avatar m tn Hey Aaron... Ultracet is addictive. Many people have gotten hooked on it. Its Ultram/Ultracet/Tramadol I believe they are all related and whehter doctors say so or not, they are addictive and can be dangerous. :( sorry for the bad news. They are also derived from the opiate family. Be careful with them. Ive used them during in between times when I was using -- just to hold w/drawal at bay -- so that should tell you something right there..
Avatar m tn I had my surgery ten years ago and have been in chronic pain for the last year. The doctor said my recent MRI was normal. I take codeine and ultracet but it doesn't help much.
Avatar m tn I'm on my second day of Utracet wd and my stomach hurts so bad. Should I try imodium or does anyone have another suggestion? The first day I was tired and annxious, today I'm tired anxious and my stomach hurts and is in knots. Does anyone know how long this will last? I have an appt w/a doc, but he can't see me for seven more days. I'm trying to decide if I can just wait it out. I'm a mother of two little girls and they need me. I'm so scared!
Avatar n tn Seriously? Was that codeine mixed with something else? or just plain codeine on its own as that's what I get, just plain codeine tablets as the 30/500 para type didn't agree with me and I asked for codeine without anything added.
Avatar f tn s/fentanyl/morpheines for years. I went through detox and have been on ULTRACET now for about 3-4 years. I have heard about the withdrawl but right now it is working for me and I dont want to go back to where I was at. Someone asked my doesage...to my knowledge there is no dose on ultracet like straight ultram. It is 37.5 tramadol and 325 acetemitaphene. The tylenol is more my concern right now. I am really looking for people who can compare ultram and ultracet usage.
Avatar m tn Still some pain so am taking 3 Ultracet tabs per 24 hours with pretty good pain relief except following 30 minutes on the treadmill and various muscle building exercises and stretches. To calm down those muscles following exercises and stretches I would like to take one 200mg Celebrex daily but one drug interaction cite suggests "Moderate" drug-drug issue involving CYP450 2D6, which means nothing to me.
Avatar m tn Just a word of advice, I am on Trams and they have the worse withdrawal I have ever experienced. this drug is not understood by the medical world. They say it is non habit forming or at the very least "mild". It may be mild in terms of pain reliever but it has a nasty half life and plays havoc on your system when you go off it..not to mention your brain (it also acts like an anti-dep).
Avatar n tn ultracet it highly addictive as well. The withdrawl is VERY bad .
Avatar f tn Hey any one awake yet....I have a question...the doc. now has put me on ultracet...it says 37.5 5/325....i had to take 2 yesterday over the cource of 12 hours...my questions is i'm reading that ppl are becoming addicted...i dont understand how....they dont make me feel high.....however the pain is better..not completely gone but better...so my ? is why are ppl getting addicted taking 10-15-20 a day if they dont get you high...can someone enlighten me.
Avatar f tn i just went to the doctor, and he gave me ultracet. does this work for pain and help withdrawl from hydros?
Avatar f tn From what a lot of you have said, the Ultracet scares me more than the hydrocodone. I have been on it and have not had to up the dosage to get the relief I need at this point. It sounds like the Ultracet is more addictive and you tend to have to up the doasage quicker. I am having another procedure done on my neck next week and I plan to discuss a lot of your comments and suggestions with them. Thank you so much for sharing with me.
Avatar f tn I didn't realize there were different schedules for pain meds...I have rsd in both hands..I've gone from ultracet to vicodin to my second increase on percocet..Maybe this is why my pm dr is hesitant to up my dosage anymore. I have increased my neurontin increased to 1200mg a day..also on cymbalta and voltaren gel..Thanks for the info....
Avatar n tn Is there a formula for weaning yourself off ultracet? Am taking 5-6 a day for 3 years. What can I expect?
Avatar n tn Ok so I have been slowly weening myself off codeine pills which I have been addicted too for the past or 5 years, taken other things, oxy, perks, demerol, from time to time...but for the past couple of years have just been codeine, cause that's all I could get...this is mth 3 of tapering and I used to take 20-30 a day, I am now down to 6 a day..
Avatar n tn I am not as comfortable on stage, and lots of people give me a bit of anxiety (always have, its nothing I cant deal with without drugs). But, I have used ultracet a few times in this context for the purpose of relaxation and anxiety release rather than physical pain. I keep a bottle of hydrocodone and tramadol around for bad days (physical pain). A bottle of 100 will last me 6-7 months.
Avatar f tn was your tramadol presription for ULTRAM or ULTRACET? If it is/was UltraCET, that contains acetaminophen (tylenol) as well as the tramadol, so therefore, if you took additional tylenol with it, you could have gotten too much of the tylenol ingredient, which could make you sick (and cause liver damage if continued).
Avatar f tn does he have a chronic illness that causes him moderate to severe pain? if he doesn't then it's fair to say he may well have an addiction. perhaps his stomach issues are related to constipation which can be a side effect of taking narcotics and similar drugs. tramadol isn't classed in the same category as the most powerful opiates but it relies on the same receptors in the brain which i think is what makes it addictive. Is he underweight?
Avatar n tn habit forming and not super powerful in the pain relief arena but very addictive for many people..there is no tylenol in ultram or tramadol/but ultracet has tylenol in it so liver problems if taking alot of them can be a concern....like cathy said..why do u ask?
Avatar f tn I have been taking Codeine for pain for a while now. At first no problems with constipation then I had, literally, 4 bowel movements in the space of about 5-6 weeks. I should add that during this time I was not eating a lot because I had lost my appetite, I'm guessing, because I was so blocked up. The pain has subsided and codeine is no longer necessary. I took a laxative once before bed on the first day without any Codeine.
1071153 tn?1255369215 I have been taking Ultracet weekly and sometimes daily for four years getting Tussionex and other opiates we I could. I have come off the Ultracet a few times now and did not like the WD's....shaky legs, headaches, etc. A few months ago, I was diagnosed pleurasy was given Loratab 10 for pain. Upon running out, I convinced my Doctor that Ultracet caused the pleurasy and have been given Loratab for low back pain ever since. That has been 2-3 months now. I am now taking 30-60mg a day.
