does travatan need to be refrigerated

t want to get into a big discussion on whether or not it is available. I just want to know if it NEEDS to be refrigerated. Does it? What if you don't keep it cool? I don't want to get into taking a med that needs this kind of special treatment because it opens the door for lessened potency, of course. Could someone get to the bottom of this refrigerate or not Thyrolar issue?

Symptoms were reported today, as MD is not in the office till Tuesday 9/29, patient has been advised to continue Travatan and visit for another Tonometry Tuesday. We are both concerned about what appears to be increasing intraocular pressure and continuing the use of Travatan. I had surgery and a stent was placed in my right eye. I have been taking Travatan Z drops from June until yesterday (10/13/16). L noticed theres a drop called Duotrav which contains timolol and brinzolamide, so l guess it sort of a combination of azarga and travatan . This is a once a day drop, l was wondering if l were to stop taking the azarga and travatan and instead take DUotrav once a day if it would be as effective but with less side effects.

My opthalmologist just gave me Lotemax reluctantly because of glaucoma. Is this rosacea suppose to be this paiful? I take Doxy daily, Travatan, erythromycin eye ointment. I am just at my wits end. Any help would be appreciated.

Look into SLT laser for glaucoma - have doctor use the minimal drops necessary and then if needed us only prservative free glaucoma drops like travatan z or preserative free timoptic. I have a patient just like you and have made great strides with these type of adjustments.

What you may be referring to is people with very very mild glaucoma and very little money that are on expensive drops like Lumigan and Travatan Z in some cases with very careful monitoring may be able to use the drops once every two or three days. I think it not a good idea and don't do it in my practice. If there's a money problem I recommend selective laser trabeculoplasty.

I have been using Travatan for a few days which was prescribed for me by an eye surgen. My eye became blood shed (just one, the other is not bad). The manual does say red eye is one of the side effects, but I find it abnormaly red and there is a mild dull pain. Is this normal? Shall I stop using it at least for one eye?

One possibility that comes to mind is a condition called pigment dispersion syndrome. You do need to ask your doctor WHY he thinks you already have glaucoma. Nearsightedness is not a risk factor for open angle glaucoma, and travatan does not affect pupil size. Ask around in your family (even cousins) for a history of early-onset glaucoma.

And the new doctor suggested to use Travatan. Is there any difference between Latanoprost and Travatan?

You may need switched to Travatan Z which is both stronger and gentler on the eye. The IOP in your eye changes hourly so there is no "safe" IOP.

ve used ovidrel and novarel over the past two months, and ovidrel was the only one that needed to be refrigerated, because it was pre-mixed. Novarel just needed to be kept at room temperature. Once it's mixed, though, and if you don't use it right away, then it should be refrigerated...but who does that? LOL! Best of luck!

If you are not on latanoprost or Lumigan or Travatan Z they would be good alternatives also your eye doctor should have discussed glaucoma laser therapy. sometimes laser can be used and you don't need any eye drops. Please act on this.

I was on Travatan and Kosopt ( one drop each ) that reduced OP to under 20 for open angle Glaucoma--vision went from 20-30 best corrected to 20-80 in a year-- after a dozen specialists some of which said there wasn't anything wrong with the eye and vision should be 20-20 My current doctor ( after taking web advice to keep trying and not give up ) said I may be having a toxic reaction to my drops .

What drugs are you taking 3 times a times? The only medication that needs to be refrigerated is interferon, not the ribavirin.

I'm beyond irritated!! I am 12 weeks pregnant with our 3rd baby together,(my fourth). I am working 60 plus hours a week at a refrigerated warehouse. Only off on Sundays. My boyfriend stays home with the kids while I work. When I get home every night I still have to get dinner together, served and put away plus bathing the kids and getting them to bed. I'm beyond exhausted. So tonight I was going to bed early. I left him to get the kids in bed.
