Avatar f tn Hi, I was just curious about suboxone, does Suboxone help you lose weight or can you gain weight from it?
Avatar n tn My question is, will Suboxone give me the physical energy and motivation I had pre-opiate addiction? I use to work out daily and do well in school but since becoming an opiate addict my physical energy is no more, I've let myself go, lost nearly 30 lbs of muscle and weigh 145 lbs at 6"2, and I don't have the motivation in life that I once had. My grades and life have truely suffered because of my addiction, I'm hoping Suboxone will get me back on track.
Avatar m tn just hang tight and more will come along and give you some info...and congrats on getting off them! way to go....you will be feeling better soon!!
461993 tn?1245693352 When you are able to eat something the n-acetyl l-tyrosine and b6 combo are amazing and even better just buy both n-acetyl l-tyrosine and b6 vitamins. 5 hour energy does contain niacin which feels like a rapid detox and makes the skin crawling feel worse for a short period of time as well stomach issues and vomiting from caffeine which *****. I know because I just experimented with these during wd from suboxone after 1 month 8mg -0mg from heavy opiate use of 4-5 months.
Avatar f tn Hey Hope! The pills do make you depressed... especially when they don't give you a high anymore. What's the point right? When I was at my max I would get so down on myself and felt like a loser. It IS depressing. Are you ready to quit... and feel like yourself again? This place is great for support on detoxing off pills and aftercare. The people here are very caring. We would need to know what your plan is from here on out. Cold Turkey, Tapering, etc.
Avatar m tn It may be wonderful for a heroin or dialudid habit but I think it is the devil and gets its claws way to deep into you and contrary to what I have read it does give you somewhat of a high or euphoric feeling. Some may disagree but this is simply my experience and we are all different. My sub doctor told me this time that the withdrawals would only last five days- totally a lie.
1575129 tn?1296004646 i was put on suboxone 2 years ago and i have been told by my pain management doctor that it does not work for fm but when i am off of it i have no energy and i can't get out of bed,but when i get back on it i am like a totally different person.i don't know what to do to get another doctor to put me back on it.any suggestions??
Avatar m tn Yeah, I was wiped out after running 1/4 mile at first. I had to lay down and rest. Within a month I was running and swimming with more endurance. It sounds like you're doing all you can. Give some time, you'll keep feeling better. Are you in any kind of aftercare?
Avatar m tn Does suboxone give people energy or give them some kind of lift ?
Avatar m tn Ive done the suboxone thing twice. What you have to remember with subs you are filling your opiod receptors to stop the physical withdrawl. You wont have the "high" you are used to getting from prior drug use. Your mind really is missing that part of your drug use. To answer your question in my opinion feeling normal no. But it is suppost to keep you from being physically sick and in complete opiod withdrawl. You may want to see your doctor and get on some antidepressants.
Avatar f tn suboxone works really well for certain peoplea nd some ppl it doestn sit well opr help at all. for youre a situation with the opana suboxone would be a better treatment med compared to methadone, usually sued for worse addictions. i am on methadone after 8 months of suboxone treatment it worked for ahwile but ie ventually borke my wrist and fell inot the hell that is opiate addiction. getting off of suboxone can be a living nightmare, it takes a month if not longer.
12277866 tn?1440098552 The only reason I was on pain pills was for the energy it gave me. I do not feel like I have my own energy to do anything. The Subs gives me energy if I just get up and get motivated. I have been in college for 3 years, raising two 14 year old twins and have a disable child that I deal with on a regular basis. He Lives in a home, but I am very involved with what goes on with him. I would love to be drug-free. And did I say I was a single 52 year old women, who does this by .myself.
Avatar f tn I know what you mean about the energy, they do give you energy. I can tell you though, that honestly does not last--When i quit takin them after close to 3 years I was so far behind in everything--house cleaning, car a mess, yard work, school work, bills---everything. Something happens after a short time that causes that "energy" not to be as productive.
Avatar n tn Interesting information, this is all new to me and I'm glad I found these postings and such supportive people. I've been taking roxys for 2+ years and have finally realized that I have a serious problem and I definately need help to get off. I've tried tapering off and going c/t several times, never could get past more than 2 or 3 days, and I've tried to call many doctors trying to get help or someone to point me in the right direction.
Avatar m tn I have been sober for two years and have been off suboxone for well over a year. Why am I so sluggish and have NO energy since I have stopped suboxone? I am a shell of what I used to be. I used to be very active...ride my bike religiously and now I find it hard to go up the stairs and find excuses not to. Please...someone tell me what to do. It has been over a year and I am pretty much a zombie. This is not me. I know myself physiologically and it is not all depression. Cant stress that enough.
1253584 tn?1332877954 I would try to go by what the doctor says if you think you dose is in correct make sure to discuss it with him before making any change .Also try to stick to on thread a day if not it gets very confusing people can not help as much ...
Avatar n tn Does anyone know if suboxone can give you migraines. Dont know if its that or w/d's but ive had one for 2 days now and i've heard sub has some side effects?
Avatar f tn Lack of energy is very normal on Suboxone. I had less than zero energy while on it. 2mg's is still a high dose when it comes to blocking the w/drawal symptoms of a 50-60mg/day hydro habit, (very small), but still may be too low for you, causing the headaches, although the only time I ever heard of someone getting headaches on Subs was when they took it improperly, ie. shot it. For most people detoxing off Subs, 2mg's is when the w/drawals kick in.
Avatar f tn You are doing a great thing for yourself and as long as you keep your eye on the prize you can do this. Stick around here too for support when you need it.
306455 tn?1288862071 t get high off of Suboxone, nor can you can high if you use other opiates while on Suboxone. To do so, will make you sick. Suboxone is addictive, when taken for longer than (approx) 21 days. But can be weaned off of with very little discomfort compared to other opiate withdrawels. Suboxone should be tappered from. Suboxone amount does not need to be increased as time goes on. Instead, you decrease your dose slowly. Suboxone also can help with some pain issues.
Avatar n tn I also detoxed using suboxone once. ANd I did a short term sub treatment. The longer you are on sub the worst your w.d from it will be. If you need help or if there is anyting I can do, just let me know.
Avatar n tn It has definitely helped me get my life back together. It wont get you HIGH but it will give you a very mild opiate feeling, just enough to keep you motivated and not to much to where you crave it like crazy. Some people amy have different opinions, but for me it has been wonderful. Find a doctor near you and get your life back.
Avatar m tn t let it beat you. One of these days, you will begin to feel a lot better. It does go away completely- I PROMISE... I just takes a while with sub. Hang in there!
