Does propecia grow hair

Common Questions and Answers about Does propecia grow hair

propecia

I just moved here and this was practically the only dermatologist office in the state (Alaska) so I am debating whether to fly home to Denver to consult another dermatologist. I don't want to just start taking the Propecia as if the hair does grow back, I will never know which syndrome caused the hair loss and could be potentially be paying $600-700 a year that does nothing for me. Advice on how to approach this would be appreciated.
Would like to know whether it can be considered scarring alopecia and if its the case will it ever grow back or do I have to continue taking propecia forever? Understand that propecia contains hormones and it affects my sex drive. What do you think?
I'm in the early stages of treatment and color my hair. My doctor has said that hair dye will contribute to my hair loss but that actually bleaching it seems to help--both for real and appearance wise. I'm wondering if anyone else had heard this/had it suggested to them. By the way--this is a GREAT forum--I've been lurking for monthes and it is the best one I've found. I appreciate all of your (un-knowing) support as I explored my options and began Pegasys treatment.

Although I can't recall the details, I do know the first time I did tx, I lost hair and it all grew back. Be patient, it will grow. Bo~Its the interferon that causes hair loss. It doesn't happen to everyone and can begin at differing times.
This is a surgical procedure in which the surgeon removes a plug of hair from an area where hair has not yet thinned, and transplants it in an area where hair has been lost. This does not really cause hair regrowth; it just spreads the hair out better. A skilled surgeon must perform this procedure in order for the transplant to look natural. This is a surgical procedure, so it carries with it all the usual risks of surgery. Laser treatment is another option available.
If you continue to be concerned about genetic hair loss, you may at some point want to look into oral Propecia. Ask your dermatologist. Take care. Dr.
Will the hair follicles that are clogged ever grow again if I have started taking care of my hair again?? If I try to maintain a healthy scalp now can I reverse the scalp damage and regrow the hair that has stopped sprouting, Or have I doomed myself with my arrogance and will always have this thin hair with visible scalp on the front?? I am thinking about using Rogaine but I know that it's only a temporary solution as the hair regrowth will stop if I stop using it.
Honey, you're gonna lose hair where you want it, and grow hair where you never grew it before. It goes with the territory. You just have to roll with it. It comes back.
I found this website laofoyehair.com not only they can cure hair loss they can grow hair naturally too. They were able to stop the spread of alopecia and hair grow back. I visited their outlet and do their treatments, in just 5 treatments may hair loss stopped and right now I grow hair naturally.
Also every Hair that falls out has a white tip. Maybe this is the follicle or the root. Can hair still grow back in that area where the hair fell out with the white end.? Please help. And when should i notice some results with Propecia.?
Both grandfathers (in their late eighties) have more hair than I do, as does my father. Also, my mother and her sisters as well as my grandmother have absolutely no signs of hair loss. I am not particularly stressed out, and love life. I am not an alcoholic, and am not on any prescription medications. I eat as well as possible. I would love some insight from this forum, as I currently cannot afford a consultation. If it helps, I am a smoker. Thank you!
also it's think all over the scalp but just like a pattern you see with dth, I am not really sure what else I can add except vitamns help with the hair all over my body. propecia didn't do much for me either and same with other hair prodicts.
Finasteride (Propecia) is also used to treat male pattern hair loss (gradual thinning of the hair on the scalp, leading to a receding hairline or balding on the top of the head in men.) Finasteride (Propecia) has not been shown to treat thinning hair at the temples and is not used to treat hair loss in women or children. Finasteride is in a class of medications called 5-alpha reductase inhibitors.
Hairloss/eyebrow - ( i cant figure out if its the dermatitis or that the dermatitis was around when it started, all i know is that once the hair is goen it doesnt seem to grow back, i had went to a trichologist to get tests done and he took a sample of my hair, which he pulled out and that was a year ago and its still not grown back, can i have really poor healing/regrowth due to the low hgh ?
It shouldn't be possible to make the heart pump harder by using a vacuum helmet (whatever that is), and I seriously doubt it will make the hair grow any faster. Remember, an unstable lifestyle is bad for hair growth (like not sleeping at night). Try some vitamin B, and possibly ask your doctor for Propecia or similar meds.
When he saw me he laughed out loud - I realized then that they I was a raging hypchondriac thanks to this disease and that I'd have to chill out. I hope that helps. ALA your hair WILL grow back. I didn't love wearing wigs but they worked. And also I didn't have to blow dry and iron or curl or wash as frequently...so my hair had a chance to really grow back without me killing it with product. It's not a perfect world but.......I had to do it.
Please post your blood work when you recieve it, i am intrested in figuring this one out. Have you ever used hair loss drugs such as proscar or propecia?
I will be seeing a top hormone doctor next week in the states regarding my on going struggles. I will update everyone on the progress. Can you explain what you mean by getting "thinner" and the pain? Where does the pain come from and what is it like? I do get testicular pain now and again due to the varicocele and sometimes tingling in the penis head/glans which can be painful at times.
But all the research i have done on peyronies, nothing fits except for the fibrous tissue. My erection does not curve, and peyronies patients dont complain of severe retraction or hardess while flaccid. Priaprism? Anyone have any ideas?
I do not want to offend, but Jesus says, Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline so be earnest and repent. So no matter what you do in life, give it your all. If a man does his best what else is there.
He has gotten hairy from the hormones so if body hair is an issue with you, facial hair, you will grow it out. If you want someone to talk to that knows what you're going through, you or your wife, feel free to email us at ***@****, we'd be glad to help!!

When these episodes happen try having a little sugar and if you feel better chances are this is the problem, if so you must watch your sugar intake in a nut shell diets high in simple sugars espesially in a short amount of time does tremendous damage causing high output of insullin to bring down the level and therefore dropping it to low causing the symptoms u described.
What is true from what he said this morning is that the blood does come from the prostate...... I tend to instinctivly agree with seeker01 however that it's a tear or leak when fully errect, what makes me think that this may not be the cause is that you'd think they could see this down the scope and it's a simple diagnsis. A mate joked saying I'd got a high pressure leak ...maybe he's right. As I get more diagnosis from consultants I will for sure post up any findings.
