Common Questions and Answers about Does ortho evra have a generic

ortho-evra

I really liked it though, I wish I could have stayed on it but for some reason my ob wouldn't let me, so I went on the patch, ortho evra and I really like it too, I had no side effects with either.
i have had the iud for 2 yr s and i dont have insurance anymore to get it removed.i have had the worst acne on my face and my back since. nothing will make it go away. im starting to get scars on my face now. i feel disgusting and my mood swings are out of this world. i would have to say that if you dont have a period then the bacteria and toxins have to come out somewhere. this sucks. i would choose carefully b4 getting it put in.
The patch does have some really bad side effects and the reason I'm saying this is because I started using it like two weeks ago and my body doesn't even feel like itself. I feel weak and my stomach hurts very badly. I felt so bad to the point that I had to remove the patch I still feel a bit week but I guess I have to wait a while in order for it to get fully out of my system. I'm not saying this to mean that it will affect everyone in this way but rather to share my experience with others.
I don't have a history of any other STD/STIs, I do have a history of vaginal eczema and I'm currently using the Ortho Evra patch for contraception. I haven't had sex since december and I'm 19 years old. I've been trying to regularly eat pro-biotic yogurt but nothing seems to help. Does anyone have any insight as to how to get rid of BV once and for all? I really don't want to return to the doctor AGAIN, but I suppose I'll have to if this doesn't clear up soon.
35mg (generic) But it is pretty restrictive and very easy to screw up. Like i mentioned before, you have to take the exact same time every day and approximately 4 hours before you expect to have sex. I guess it is meant for very regular couples : ) I think something like this might be a good idea, if the estrogen in the pill was causing the bp problems. The nuva ring is just like the BCP as is the patch.
There is a number of things that could be wrong, the tipped uterus is one, she could have endometriosis and so forth. Does she have normal periods and any other pelvic or abdominal pain? The discharge does sound like a yeast infection dr can give her a prescription for something for that either a pill or cream. Good luck keep us posted.
i think there should be a male form of BC--so they can deal with the side effects. have you thought about ortho evra patch or the ring?
Yasmin®, Demulen® 1/50, Othro-Tri Cyclen®, Ortho-Cyclen®, Yasmin®, Brevicon®, Modicon®, Necon®, Ortho Evra®, Mircette® Best cleansers: the neutrogena bar for acne with salicylic acid and plain baking soda for a scrub in the shower. About 4 years ago I put the ortho evra birth control patch on and have never been the same. My symptoms were immediate Flushing, red face, feeling like clots were traveling thru my body, extreme thirst, feelings of numbness in fingers, electricity feelings running thru my spin, pins and needles in neck area, diarrhea, nauseau, extreme weakness, fatigue, foggyness, confusion, rapid heartbeat, cramping of hands or feet, flush feelings.
Other tests (two colposcopies, pelvic ultrasound, transvaginal ultrasound, cervical biopsy, and endometrial biopsy) have all been normal. My general practitioner and OBGYN have noted a cervical ectropion...tissue changes on my cervix, probably brought on by birth control, are highly vascularized and bleed at the slightest touch. My doc's decided to prescribe me vaginal progesterone suppositories, once a day for a month.

What method of preventing pregnancy does this collective think is best? Not, 'should I have children?' That choice has already been made - for what I have illustrated today as a myriad of reasons. It is not the issue that I 'feel I cannot have them', it is the issue of 'I do not want them.' I am not 'angry', I think what you interpret as anger is more of my laughter at the notion of having children to begin with.
I have had the Paragard for about 9 months now and it is great. I do have a heavy period for the first 3 days or so but then it is back to normal. I do not feel, nor does my partner feel the IUD during intercourse. I would tell anyone who is considering Mirena to do the research...it caused me to gain 7 lbs. immediately and migraines to come on full throttle. After I switched it out for Paragard all is well. I think everyone is different but I have definitly had a good experience thus far.
Dr presrcibed the Ortho-Evra patch yesterday. I have not yet started my period, and the Dr didn't seem especially concerned. Dh and I used protection when we have had the time to tango, so no concern there. My question is, should I start the patch now, or wait for a period to start? The package says that your Dr will advise you when to start after childbirth, and the Dr says it's up to me. Hmm..... Any thoughts? Thanks, and hope all is well!
I just read over a few more comment strings and thought it might be helpful to post my history as well. Gain detergent Ortho Evera birth control I do have a history of exema and alergies no pets and I live in a fairly dry climate As I mentioned before my Dr. did test me for herpes and my results came back negative. I wear thongs, or at least I did before this problem. No real history with yeast infections or any other infections... in fact I've never even had chicken pox.
I have found that it comes at the same general time in my menstrual cycle... and it is definately NOT HERPES! I have regular check ups and have never been diagnosed with herpes (even before I became sexually active!). I too think that it has something to do with the vaginal flora and the yeast levels. I am a certified herbalist and nutritionalist, and I am starting to think that the cause for all of this may be a systemic candida infection.
I want this forum to be really helpful, seriously, because I'm running out of hope. I went on birth control, the Ortho Evra Patch, in about 2002. I stayed on it continuously since this last Sept or Oct, 2010. So 8 years I was on it and was getting it through Planned Parenthood as I don't really make much money. A problem with the funding for my services arose that I could not seem to resolve and was going to have to start paying out of pocket for these once more.
The implant is very expensive and also the female sterilization. Since I have sensitive skin I can't do the ortho evra so that only leaves the shot. I have read everyone's experiences and I wish everyone the very best. I just wanted to vent and tell about my story.
I think I am having a similar problem. Im 19 years old and have been using ortho evra patches since i was 15. I stopped using the patch because of health insurance reasons and my period has been on the haywire since. At first it didnt come for a couple of months but when it did come it lasted for a week and a half. Then it finally went away for a week and then the next week I had light bleeding.
While it is not impossible to have negative tests and still be pregnant, it is very unlikely. Generally, if you have enough HCG in your system to make you feel pregnancy symptoms, the level is high enough to be picked up, especially with today's sensitive tests--and especially a blood test. It is the hcg that makes you feel those symptoms. Lots and lots of things can mimic pregnancy symptoms, and topping the list is thinking you may be pregnant!
i took a test but since i had sex only a week ago its to early anyway. im on the ortho evra patch but just found out that since im taking topamax its less effective and its actually my first month on it. i just got my iud taken out..do you think i could b pregnant and should i just wait another week to take a test???
At least one woman in every generation had CM; mine have been the worst. I was treated with every drug under the sun; mostly just for relief of the pain. And as a teen and young adult my parents took me to every dr and headache clinic possible..One dr even told my parents I suffered from "depression" and a therapist was all I needed.. Skip over 40 years;about 5 years ago, I was put on a siezure medication; which has helped me immensly.
It just isn't the right time for us for whatever reason. It still does not take away that desire to have a baby. I will just continue to pray and hope. I will keep you updated. I hope you will do the same. P.S. I just thought about this. My niece has PCOS and she has to cut out alot of carbs and sugar to lose weight. She lost about 20lbs in a few months. She also started working out with a personal trainer. She will have to watch everything she eats her whole life.
