ortho-evra

Avatar f tn I have not been able to find any reference to ortho evra on the web. If you have got this off the web yourself, this may not be a genuine or safe product for you to use. I suggest that you read the instructions that you should have got with the packet and follow it exactly.
Avatar f tn I have been on Ortho Evra for a year now. I have been diagnosed with PCOS, although, aside from being irregular I haven't ever had any other symptoms with it. I went on Ortho Evra because I was really anemic, and the irregularity was annoying me, so the patches fixed both. I loved it up until the past month or two when I started noticing that I'm becoming crazy. Slowly I've become really paranoid and been thinking really morbid things.
Avatar f tn I had NO sex drive on seasonique and now I have a healthy one again but I want to find a birth control that does not take away my sex drive or make me depressed. Avatar f tn I have another appointment next week with Planned Parenthood, at which time I am going to be asking for an IUD. Does anyone have any experience with Othro Evra in the way that I have? I appreciate any advice you can give.
Avatar n tn I am 19 years old and I am using Ortho Evra patch for contraception and I have been for five months. I have never been pregnant before, but I am beginning to think I have some symptoms even though I have NOT missed or had any late/irregular periods. -I've been feeling a pulse in my stomach especially when I lay down and press on the mid part of my stomach just above the belly button.
Avatar f tn I am currently on the implanon but will be switching to the ortho evra patch . What are some thoughts or opinions on this birth control ? Is there anything bad you experienced or maybe some good effects to it ? ADVICE ?

778044 tn?1299542934 I have a question for anyone using the Ortho Evra Patch to help control their endometriosis. It says right on the box that you are exposed to 60% more estrogen using the patch then other birth control pills. Since estrogen "feeds" endometriosis, how does this make sense? I have been advised by my doctor after 6 months of Lupron injections, to use the patch consistantly (not having a patch off week and not getting a period) until we are ready to get pregnant.
Avatar f tn Hello, All your symptoms are the side effects of the birth control ortho evra patch. The Ortho Evra birth control patch releases a high amount of estrogen into the bloodstream—60% more than from birth control pills—which is known to increase the risk for blood clots. These blood clots occlude the blood vessels as thrombi and if they get dislodged and occlude the blood vessels at some other site, they are called emboli.
Avatar f tn Continue to take pills if you have doubt then take a home pregnency test after a couple of days.

Avatar f tn I took ortho evra for about 4 years and had irregular periods for about a year after i stopped. We have now been ttc for 2 years and are finally seeing a RE next week. My dr gave me progestin pills to help regulate my periods and when that didnt work i took clomid. that did regulate them. I blame my infertility on the patch even though my dr swears it is not to blame. Good luck! Happy to answer any other questions. Maybe my experience can help.
Avatar n tn I'm on the ortho evra patch and I always put it in the same spot. I got a rash in that spot so I moved my patch and that week with the patch on I started my period as I would when not wearing it. I was on it that full time then I took my patch off for my actual period week and was still bleeding. So a total of two weeks on my period. Is this normal when moving the patch to a different part of the body?
Avatar f tn we instantly ran to the store i took plan b within 30 minutes. Im on the birth control patch, Ortho Evra. i was supposed to get my period and still nothing. i need some advice, im stressing. so my question, how effective is plan B after 30 minutes after sex?
Avatar f tn When I was 18 I finally got on birth control to regulate it. I started on Ortho Tri Cyclin and then switched to Ortho Evra. I was on Ortho Evra for about 5 years and had no difficulties with it and my period became normal. I stopped taking all birth control in August of 2008. I was expecting to have an irregular period again, but it is much worse. On average I've been getting my "period" about every two months, but I bleed much more than that.

Avatar f tn My boyfriend and I always have unprotected sex because I am on the contraceptive patch. We last had sex like 2/3 weeks ago probably 4. I have had a period but I am bloated, gassy, tired and have back and headaches. I also pee alot!
720228 tn?1530911279 I have been using the ortho-evra patch for about 5 months now. About a month ago I had a boil and was prescribed Doxycline. I did not know at the time that this anti-biotic can interfere with your birth control. I had unprotected sex with my husband during this time. Now still using that patch, when I went to change the patch to the next one I guess I did not stick it good enough because it came off and then a day later my period began. Is there any chance that I could have gotten pregnant.
Avatar f tn I kept it off to have my patch free week and get my period , then exactly a week later on Monday I put a new patch on to start a new cycle. Am I protected ? Was I protected during the patch free week ?
Avatar f tn I am on the ortho evra patch. I mistook my 3rd week as my patch free week. I had sex before the mistake. But no it's been over a week and still no period. Am I pregnant?
Avatar f tn I have been using the patch for almost 8 months, last week decided to use only two patches to get my period sooner and now one and a half week later I’m feeling not myself, bitter, no sex drive, rude and not so happy at all, is this normal?

Avatar f tn Hi, I'm on my second month of ortho evra patches and I think I may be pregnant. I have swollen breast and they're tender, I have veins on my breast, my lower back hurts, I've gotten sick every night for the past two weeks. My period was late last month and it was super light. I'm took a dollar store test and it said neg. I'm thinking maybe my "period" wasn't a period.
7019649 tn?1396792517 I know I have a while before I decide, but I'd like to start looking at my options now. I didn't do well with the pill. It had very negative side effects for me, so I'm thinking I want to do something that isn't hormonal. My mom got a Mirena and had to have it surgically removed because it migrated, so I'm scared to death of those things, too. Any suggestions?
Avatar n tn I was on Ortho Evra (the patch), but I have been lucky enough to conceive on the first cycle. However---- this doesn't happen for everyone, so don't get your hopes up too high on conceiving right away. It may take a few months. Good luck!
Avatar f tn 30am I wake up and no matter how hard I try to fall asleep I cant. Another detail I been 2 weeks and a half with ortho evra patch but my ob/gyn says that it does not have to do with it. Been 3-4 days now drinking prilosec in the morning, carafate an hour before eating and zantac before going to bed, but no change. Another detail that might help I am going to the bathroom every day normal color but not the same consistency. I am worried. Please help!
1619339 tn?1303852237 Ok here we go...i'm married about to turn 22 and I am on bc, ortho evra (the patch) been taking it for 3 1/2 years almost 4. In January of this year i had a really nasty sinus/upper respiratory infection and was put on first the Z-pak and got worse and it starting traveling to my lungs and then got put on augminton. So i was antibiotics for about a month and during which i was having lots of unprotected sex (i'm a bit of a nympho).
Avatar n tn m protected once I have the patch on for a full week, but since I was a day late on week one, does that make a difference for week two even though I had the patch on for 7 full days on week 2?? I really can't afford a pregnancy right now, but I also don't have the extra cash to just blow on the morning after pill if its not necessary.
