403788 tn?1237037212 ve been all over the place on the web trying to get tips and one of the things that I do see is that KY does kill sperm. But on one of the pages it offered another kind that didnt. Just google it and you should be able to find it.....Hope this helps!
Avatar m tn Pre-ejaculation DOES contain sperm, however if it was dry it is dead. As a precaution, wash your hands before you touch her. Yes you might be in the mood, but better to take 1 minute to clean up properly then spend weeks of worry.
Avatar m tn Doc gave doxy and metronidazole for 10 days which cleared the burning sensation and some testicular and groin pain but not the urgency and frequency to urinate. After those 10 days, one day I woke up and had a hard to time to start peeing and had a very weak stream: new diagnosis - prostatitis. Doc gave me cipro and doxy 8 days with no result. Bactrim for 10 days, no result. As I live in Africa, I went to Portugal to get a second opinion, and the doctor gave me levo for 20 days; no result.
505857 tn?1329681517 I have heard if you bed twice in one day the second set of sperm can kill the first set making it harder for you to conceive, is this true? My partner and i bedded this morning and i have no doubt he'll want it again tonight, today is also my ovulation day so i am now officially in the 2WW yeah!!! But if we do it tonight can it affect my chance of becoming pregnant? All help is really appreciated!!!
Avatar f tn christine that is not true. sperm does NOT die once it hits the air. the life spam of sperm outside of the body depends on many factors. the air condition, where it's at...etc etc etc.
Avatar f tn You are fine. Even if saliva did kill sperm cells it would be virtually impossible for you to get it far enough in there to even effect the sperm or egg. I have also never heard that oral sex is any problem during pregnancy. If your really worried ask her ob/gyn but honestly I think you are fine. Enjoy!
Avatar f tn No. Spermicide does kill sperm (I'm not entirely sure what sarah is saying), but it's not as effective as condoms. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_birth_control_methods#Comparison_table for a comparison table that has failure rates from perfect use and typical use (e.g. condoms have a perfect use failure rate of 2%, but a typical use failure rate of 15% from people using them improperly).
1939607 tn?1324289300 There is only one lubricant on the market that doesn't kill sperm. Its called pre seed. All others have ingredients that are not sperm friendly. Good luck.
594189 tn?1386916607 its a sperm friendly lubricant. Since most lubes have chemicals that are harmful to sperm it can be very helpful to get a lubricant that is made for people who are trying to get pregnant.
Avatar f tn No it will not work. The sperm comes out so fast because that's how it gets to the eggs. Your vaginal acid will kill the sperm before it gets a chance to make it that far.
Avatar m tn yes it can they have made a new one that makes your vagina more comfortable to sperm but some of the lubes out there will kill off or prevent sperm from making it to right place
Avatar f tn I started taking metronidazole and a probiotic supplement called enterogermina. After the first dose of both metronidazole and enterogermina I started having urgency to pee. I feel like I have to pee frequently. My urine does not have a strong odour and it is not cloudy and has a normal light straw colour. I was wondering if urgency to urinate may be a symptom of bacterial vaginosis or if it may be a side effect of metronidazole or enterogermina?
Avatar f tn Hi, i found the below from a discussion a while back and maybe can shed some light on your question. I believe the replier had the same problems. LuvMedicine Nov 26, 2009 To: shaken71 Yes, new research confirmed that bacterial vaginosis can give false positives for low-risk women who are tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia by NAAT (the urine test).
Avatar n tn OK, peeing does NOT kill sperm. Anytime a penis enters your vagina (unprotected) you can get pregnant, period...no if's and's or but's. If you're having unprotected sex and don't want to get pregnant, start using PROTECTION!!!
Avatar f tn i went back to my GP and he gave me another round of azithromycin 1g, 2g metronidazole and a 10-day course of doxycycline, 200mg a day in a single dose. again i finished the course, but the symptoms won't go away. he gave me another round of azithromycin 1g. after that i had another 10-day doxycycline course together with 2g metronidazole. still the symptoms are there.
Avatar f tn I had to take it last week for 5 days. Everything is great with baby. It does say that there is no harm to take it however I understand your concern. I'm 27w 5d I'm sure I would've been me hesitant at 6 weeks.
Avatar f tn I tried preseed and it's not working for me... it's good to give you more moisture.. and does not kill sperm... but i didn't conceive through preseed... I got pregnant when i don't use anything... how weird...
Avatar f tn i just remember i urinated before we did it again, so that kills left over sperm, and the water chlorine it does kill semen, and the temperature of water also does
1472764 tn?1287588186 Has anyone ever used oral metronidazole for a vaginal bacterial infection? I'm on my 5th of 7th day and have developed a very thick clear to cloudy mucousy discharge. Is this normal. I know the gel form will pull everything out in a thick white chunky discharge but does the oral pill.
Avatar f tn My dog was given Metronidazorle after having diarrhea for3 days. How long does it typically take for the diarrhea to subside? He’s been on it for 3 days.
5033762 tn?1370785022 Oxygen does not kill sperm...there is a good chance it will work healthy sperm will swim up an find an egg and they can live up to 7 days in the women.
Avatar n tn It has been observed that several disinfectants commonly used in hospitals may fail to kill the bacteria, and may actually promote spore formation. However, disinfectants containing bleach are effective in killing the organisms[4]. Pseudomembranous colitis caused by C. difficile is treated with specific antibiotics, for example, vancomycin, metronidazole, bacitracin or fusidic acid. I hope he gave you one of the above antibiotics specific for C. difficile!
