Common Questions and Answers about Does cyclobenzaprine get you high

flexeril

Avatar f tn Hi I just happened across your post. I am sure others will be a long very soon. While you are waiting for the pros here; I would say, if I were you I would slowwly wean down. Your body is used to getting this medication. It is going to be looking for it. This is just my opinion, I am not a doctor. I have taken flexeril, could not take more than a 1/4 or I would feel very odd. Maybe that was a good thing. You can get a pill cutter and start cutting your dose.
917815 tn?1377498254 I dont post much (read a lot though)...a little over 3 weeks clean (again, LOL)... My right shoulder has been killing me the last 2-3 weeks, and this weekend, seems to have gotten worse; Doc said on Fri, most likely muscular...went through the weekend with Tylenol and today, pain is even worse. I asked him for something "non-narcotic" (he knows about my addiction) and he suggested Cyclobenzaprine (muscle relaxer).
Avatar n tn , with a short acting hydrocodone for breakthrough (and have been tried on both Cyclobenzaprine and then switched to what Wobby65 mentioned, Zanaflex). But I think both thise pain meds you mentioned are short-acting pain meds. which I've not heard much about taking 2different short acting meds. If your Dr. rx'd, then that what he rx'd... Did he say take those together/within the same day together? Best Wishes!
Avatar n tn 55am, I forgot I took the celexa and I took Cyclobenzaprine. Do you think is something I should be worry? I looked online about the drug interaction and they say could be deadly. I am very worry. Any advice of what I can do? Do I gonna be okay? How long apart I can take those two medications?
Avatar m tn Since the infection, I have had all kinds of pain in different areas of my body and I am getting scared. Can you go to work and how do you manage your life if you have PID?
Avatar m tn How long does it take to get a Doctor to respond to these posts?
Avatar f tn However, if changing the BP medication and reducing anxiety issues does not help, then these factors will need to be looked into. Of these, as of now, you could ask your doctor to test for diabetes, thyroid problems and testosterone levels. Premature ejaculation can occur due to prostatitis. So get your urine and semen sample analyzed. In my opinion, you have a mild case of premature ejaculation as the ejaculation occurs after entry into vagina (and not before).
Avatar m tn I get very very severe...muscle contractions in my upper back...the pain does not stop..it is worse in the morning..and if i take a nap..in the afternoon...it has gotten to where i have to sleep sitting up.... The pain is like contractions...it hurts so bad....that i have gotten to the point of thinking of suicide if someone does not help me....... the emergency room ...said i was not considered an emergency ...even though..i was short of breath...and the pain was so bad...
2085202 tn?1373199740 Did the breathing issue only happen when you were sleeping? Could it be sleep apnea? I agree with BluCrystal...think it is time to see your MD. Perhaps he/she could switch you to something that may be more effective. Good luck!
Avatar f tn J Many times symptoms appear due to synergistic drug interactions. I think you would be best advised to get one physician to review all the meds/dosages/timing and then try to coordinate what you take for treatment. Off the top of my head since your pulse is very low try taking toprol-xl 2x/day instead of 3x. That might allow your pulse rate to come up a bit, but then your BP might rise. This is self medicating and not a good idea.
Avatar f tn The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history. Hence this reply to your post should only be considered as a guiding line and you must consult your doctor at the earliest for your medical problem.
Avatar f tn Welcome to the medhelp neurology forum. Flexeril or cyclobenzaprine or baclofen are not associated with hoarseness of voice. More plausible causes of hoarseness of voice need to be checked like acute laryngitis, vocal cord nodules, allergies, gastro esophageal reflux, smoking, thyroid problems, trauma to larynx, parkinson’s disease and trauma to larynx. Consult an otolaryngologist who will evaluate the causes and treat likewise.
1243543 tn?1269124022 ve taken cyclobenzaprine myself for muscle spasms. When you first start taking, it might make you feel a little strange, and it can blur your vision a little. But as you begin to get use to it these side effects tend to go away. You don't have to be frightened of it, just be cautious. And don't drive or anything, til you get used to it. I've never heard of anyone taking half a pill, but its probably a good idea until you get use to it. And hopefully, it will make you feel better.
Avatar n tn Can I took two tablets of ic oxycodone 5-325, can I take my ic cyclobenzaprine 5 mg with it?
676302 tn?1237863491 I am wondering what is the name of the muscke relaxer that helps everyone. I have been taking cyclobenzaprine an all it does is makes me sleepy. It doesn't relax my muscles and right now I am really having a problem with the spams. Any help you can give please.
Avatar f tn I have had chest pains for about 5 years, and never really got it checked out. i get these chest pains VERY randomly. Sometimes i get them for about 4 or 5 months, then it disappears for another few months, then comes back with a vengeance. Each time it has come back, it feels way worse than before. It feels like a tight contraction in the center of my chest, and in the base of my throat, and it comes and goes, in and out constantly each time i get it.
Avatar n tn I have never heard of a soma patch it obviously it does exist. A patch might be little eess likely to be abused since you cant keep taking more and more pills and ti can be controlled as far as the drugs release into the body from the patch. Just try not to stay on it for long periods of time, like 6 or mroe months, if so try weaning down slowly and youre doctor should understand that and figure out a plan for you.
Avatar f tn Your SX sound similar to mine when I get a sinusitis. Sinusitis does not have to produce fevers, it can hide quietly in your sinuses and make you feel miserable. I'd consult an ENT or medically termed an Otolaryngologist. They specialize in disorders and conditions of the ear, nose, and throat. It may behoove you to consult one and rule out any possibilities that your symptoms are not related to their specialty.
Avatar m tn Thank you for your information, take care, Bob
Avatar m tn I just remembered that about a year ago I was prescribed some muscle relaxers for my neck (Cyclobenzaprine). Do you guys think that if I take one or two of them when I am having a hard time sleeping from the restless legs s**t that it will help me sleep?
541465 tn?1219427886 Some people have abused it to get high. My concern about they way you are questioning is that you have not truly committed yourself to getting clean. I may be reading between the lines, but that is way I see. It takes 110% mental attitude to be successful. I can't remember what you were on, but methadone or even sub should be used as a last resort after you have tried other means to get yourself clean. This again is my opinion.
Avatar f tn Yes, go see your doctor. The tingling down the arm indicates a possible problem with the C7 nerve that originates at the 7th vertebra in your neck. It could be impinged (pinched) either in your neck at the nerve root or somewhere in the shoulder. I know it hurts having been through this myself many years ago, but it won't kill you. Your doctor may want to send you for an MRI of the cervical spine and/or shoulder before making a firm diagnosis.
