863754 tn?1239144755 First off... Hi everyone and thanks for making such a great site! My aunt's doctor gave her Budeprion SR 150 mg to help quit smoking. A friend of her's told her that you're not supposed to take it, if you take any medications for diabetes. She does take a pill (not sure which and didn't think to ask her) for her diabetes and I told her I'd try to find out if it could cause any problems.
Avatar n tn I have just begun taking Budeprion SR. 150 milligrams a day. The paper the pharmacy gave me said to contact a dr immediately if I got a sore throat. I have a sore throat, and I want to know if I need to stop taking the medication. On another website, throat irriatation is listed as a rare side effect. I called my dr, and the nurse looked it up and said that sore throat was listed as a side effect. So, I am confused. Should I stop taking the medication? Is this a dangerous side effect?
Avatar n tn • Claiming that the time to peak plasma concentration (Tmax) of bupropion hydrochloride after ingesting Budeprion XL is identical to that in Wellbutrin XL, when studies have confirmed that the Tmax for Budeprion XL is less than one-half of that for Wellbutrin XL; • Claiming that Budeprion XL did not carry with it a risk of dose dumping when taken with food, though reports have indicated that food may increase chance for toxicity; • Claiming that human studies were done comparing Budeprion XL t
Avatar n tn Are there any antidepressants that will make me more alert rather than sleepy and tired? This has been my experience with all the drugs I've tried so far. Budeprion being the last one and the worse cause it makes me so sleepy and lethargic, yeah too often I find myself sitting there as if lifeless, staring into space, feeling like a rock with no feelings or emotions...Are there any drugs that will give me more pep and energy instead of making me just wanna stay in bed all day?
Avatar m tn So nice to see that others are experiencing the same symptoms that I have been experiencing. Had all the tests, the blood work, kegs, nothing wrong. X-Rays, been in ER three times. Can't catch my breath. It's awful, but I know I'm not alone.
Avatar n tn Really not good advice, about the milk! What does work wonders is 15mg Lancap nightly, although this is rather expensive. I myself would appreciate advice regarding cheaper antacids, not including the normal stuff like bicarb or calcium based antacids.
Avatar m tn Yes, that is what I have heard too, however there are places on the internet where people did have success with it. Granted these are just a few people out of how many out there taking T3. I also wonder why the Wilson's syndrome recommends SR T3, a well? Surely if it did not work, which they should know of al people, why would they be recommended it. Very confusing.
800430 tn?1237762624 s on or has been on Wellbutrin XL or SR, did it work for severe depression and make you happy again and actually look forward to things.. I'm starting to give up hope.. Also, does anyone have any feedback on consuming alchohol while on Wellbutrin?
Avatar n tn Background: I have engaged a Niacin regimen to cut cholesterol (vs. using statin drugs) because Niacin also raises HDL and cuts LPa and triglycerides (while statins only cut LDL). I have been on this regimen since 2003 and the effect on my cholesterol/triglycerides and LPa has been more than as hoped for. Just as with statin drugs, it is necessary to get regular blood tests (ideally every 6 months) to ensure there is no liver damage.
619380 tn?1339798596 Doctor put me on rythmol sr and aspirin. How can I pass all these test and have it hit me? I have complained of weakness in the past and wonder if that might have been a sign? I'm worried about taking a afib drug and are curious about anything I should worry or look out for.
5143317 tn?1383747820 Hi Ms Sally. Most people would love to have that side effect! I've been taking Wellbutrin for years, but it's part of a drug cocktail formulated for Bipolar disorder. Wellbutrin is also prescribed for folks who want to quit smoking. One way to increase your appetite, exercise. If you've been sedentary, check w Dr. First.
886624 tn?1241714264 I feel wonderful on budeprion, better than I did on the Watson generic buproprion. Don't let your head be filled with negativity before you start. This teva budeprion generic helped me sooooo much. I felt euphoric the first few days and then just better more able to deal with life.
Avatar f tn Last week my psychiatrist increased my Budeprion SR (generic Wellbutrin) from 300mg daily to 450mg daily. I got the script filled but when I got home and thought about it, I checked to see what is the max recommended dosage... It's 400mg daily. I've been afraid to take that much, and you're not supposed to cut them in half. Has any one else been on that high a dose of 450mg? Or have you heard of it?

Avatar n tn My doctor put me on this for my RSD. I was on loratab 10 mg with tylenol and started having pain in my liver which I am almost sure it was the zanaflex which caused this. But does it take a while for this medicine to get in your system since it is slow release? The tylenol is no longer in the medicine. We are waiting to see my blood test. My cbc and cmp and tsh all came back normal. So the doctors think it is medically induced pain ( from med's ) .
Avatar f tn I am seeing one of only two headache specialists in my state for headaches which have been diagnosed as severe hypnic headaches (they wake me from sleep 2-3 times per night, and the worst lasts for 3-4 hours) for which I take nightly Indocin SR. Up until recently, the Indocin SR was working so long as I took it 2 hours before bedtime.
Avatar n tn I've been taking Bupropion(generic) for 3 months. I've tried 300mg-XL, 2x150mg-SR, and both times (though I'd take the morning dose at 6AM) had a hard time falling asleep at night, tossing around in bed an hour or so. I normally don't have a sleeping problem. So, I now take only one 150mg-SR around 7AM and no afternoon dose. I can fall asleep fine now, but my energy runs out in the late afternoon ...
Avatar f tn Does anyone know what "baseline early transition nonspecific ST abnormalities, SR HR"......means? My mother just had a heart attack and I have been very worried about my own future so I had a stress treadmill and this came up. Now I am worried this is an abnormal reading for me?! Thanks for any help.
Avatar f tn My husband has been taking Bupropion HSL SR 150mg for a few months and it doesn't seem to be working as well as the Bupropion XL 150mg he was taking for a few years before he was switched because, the pharmacy said, they could not get the Bupropion XL 150mg at that time. My husband has dementia. He takes the Bupropion in the morning along with his Aricept and Exforge (for blood pressure). He gets drowsy right after taking his pills and I think it may be the Bupropion HSL SR causing this.
Avatar f tn And very importantly it does take communication between you and your doctor so that he does understand how all of this is affecting you. I think that it is good to worry (slightly) about anything you take. People who take meds without understanding what is going on are really open for anything to happen. I do have the feeling that you are still a bit unsure as to why you are taking the ritalin and its possible effects on you.
Avatar f tn And it is a stimulant as well. It works on the Dopamine system, unlike other anti-depressants, which primarily work on the Nor-epinephrine and/or Serotonin systems. That's why the word, 'atypical'. Dopamine is an excitatory neurotransmitter (a stimulant). Bupropion does help with mild to moderate levels of anxiety, but it is not known to more beneficial than the typical anti-depressants when the anxiety is severe.
Avatar f tn For the past 3 weeks, I've been trying to loose weight but I haven't really lost any weight yet. I Do cardio workouts every other day every week. and the days that I don't work out, I walk my dog around my neighborhood for 30 minutes. I'm planning on loosing weight over the summer. I'm a female and am currently 14 years old. My height is 5 ft and my weight is 134 pounds. My doctor told me that I'm overweight for my age and height.
1226489 tn?1267201838 I also need to mention that I cannot afford a psychiatrist, as my insurance doesn't cover mental health at all. And I seem to know more than my internist about this stuff. He's shooting from the hip and generally clueless. sigh.
710673 tn?1289614144 s different than what anyone else said. I also have PACs which are no big deal. But he put me on Rythmol SR 325mg bid. He cut my Lopressor to 12.5mg bid. And I am still on the Cozaar 100mg. What do you think?? Everything I read about this Rythmol says that I need to be hospitalized with this drug to start. The starting dose is usually 225mg bid. I haven't started it yet. Does anyone know anyone who has used this drug??
Avatar f tn Hi, first let me congratulate you on beginning your weight loss journey. It takes alot of courage and effort. Its good that you are doing a lot of cardio because that will help you burn fat but you need to do more resistance training than just lifting weights with your arms and 100 situps. The key to weight loss is quality not quantity. Sometimes when you overdo workouts you may cause stress hormones to be released which can cause you to not lose any fat or gain muscle.
